20 Jan: Hattian Freedom Day (Hattia) -- Celebrates the communist revolution over the capitalist government. All workers (Except for doctors and such) are given the day off.

11 Apr: Armistance Day
22 Apr: Declaration Day (Squornshelous) -- On this day, The Fortified Islands of Squornshelous was declared a sovreign and independant state, then called The Rogue Nation of Squornshelous. Each year, all workers in Squornshelous, with the exception of doctors and some other essential professions, are given the day off.
27 Apr: Tarsonis Day (Cyrucia) -- A nation wide celebration of Cyrucia's joining in the region of Tarsonis.

May
1 May: International Worker's Day
2 May: Military Day (Tarqys) -- Commemorating our two life-saving organizations, Tarqysian Guard and Skylift Command - Military organizations that possess no weapons.
17 May: GooberDay (Goobergunchia) -- Celebrating Goobergunchia's independence from Herradura in 1873
19 May: Omnicaust Day (Crimmond) -- To commemerate the Omnicaust, later the Uebercaust, which is the the date in which Garrison II fired five-thousand nuclear ICBMs at the region of Sunlight, instantly turning it into the world's largest nightlight and killing over two and one half trillion people. Garrison II becomes, and still is, the holder of the record for most people killed in one attack.

June
21 Jun: Premier's Day (Marimaia) -- Celebrates the birthday of current Premier Chiisu Suun. Virtually the entire country has a holiday. Regional authorities compete to mark the day in the most extravagant way, while government ministries compete to give the most memorable present.

July
6 Jul: Constitution Day (Athamasha) -- Generally includes a reading of the constitution on national television.
17 Jul: Emperor Day (Diminix) -- Emperor Anthony Ses'uh of the Imperial Ses'uh Dominons' birthday.
21 Jul: Unification Day (Athamasha) -- Commemerating the emergance of the "Community" after decades of factional warfare.

August
18 Aug: Corporate Day (A Few Rich People) -- The day the Mikosolf Corperation bought out a poor backwater nation and turned it into an economic superpower. The name of the original country has been lost or misfiled.
29 Aug: Day of the holy diversity (Rejistania) -- This religous holiday is celebrated only by Inikresaists, who praise on this day all inikresian gods on different ways, depending on the region.

September
20 Sep: Foundation Day (Rejistania) -- On this day, the foundation of Rejistania out of three different quasi-states is celebrated. it is a free day for most people and it is celebrated on various ways: free concerts, fireworks and countless private celebrations with the family.
29 Sep: National Liberation Day (Marimaia) -- Celebrates the overthrow of democracy by the Suunist Party. Also celebrates the anniversary of Marimaia's first manned space mission. The celebrations include: pyrotechnic displays, the NL Day Parade through the capital as well as the giving of gifts to friends and family.

Also add holidays like Valentines, Easter, April Fools, etc.

Easter's celebrated on a different day every year.

I believe it would be of better interest to only place dates which nations identify with. Cultural days such as St. Patricks day taint the intricate dates and celebrations of other nations.

I implore you to make this calendar for only dates and events in the realm of NS.

Athamasha,

The Government of Tarqys finds it alarming and disturbing that a national holiday - of which is posted - celebrates the extreme loss of life (The Omnicaust). While we do not want to become a 'police' entity, we would like to know the Athamashian stance on days of remembrance. Will there be any filter? If not, what is stopping a nation from creating a national day of rememberance called "Nat'l Angst Against Athamasha Day?" I hope this does not happen, but at what point - if any - does a national day of rememberance become to harsh to be published?

We realize this is more a philosophical pursuit. We are merely curious as to the Government of Athamasha's stance.

The Flaxen Community does not distinguish between commemerative dates and celebratories for the purposes of Its international calendar. Both exist, and both are equally useful and valid. Filtering is low on our priority list.

THe government now recognizes the christian and muslim holidays and as before allows its employees to take these days off without pay. It encourages businesses to do the same though they are not required.

Also a national day has been set aside for labor free on this day businesses and employees are encouraged to take the day off, and the government holds service(s) recognizing and thanking all those who work hard within the nation.

And a day is also set aside for folks and the government to acknowledge and celebrate the founding of this great nation as well.

31st May: Coalition Day. A day that celebrates the formation of the Coalition of Anti-Capitalist Economies. National holiday in all CACE nations, with many celebrations, unofficial and official arranged.
