"This is Phil Starnish for Combine International Newslink. I am currently broadcasting from what used to be the border between Belarus and Latvia, outside a border town taken over by the military. What you are seeing is the newest of the Combine's technology. The Red Brigade."
The camera pans over to several dropships offloading armored troops. All were in blood red armor and uniforms, all carrying assault weapons, even the officers. It looked like at least one hundred soldiers and, in the background, an immense dropship settled down. After a minute, the large doors opened and mechs, painted crimson, lumbered out into the outskirts of the city.
Then there's a blur of motion and the camera is looking down the barrel or an assault rifle. "ID! Now!" shouts the soldier, dressed in one of the red uniforms. Both the cameraman and reporter immediatly run and in the course of the next twenty seconds are gunned down on international live TV.
The soldier's boot is seen in the frame, in front of the still dying cameraman. "Stop or I'll shoot. Heh-heh." At that point, either the CIN or the soldier cuts the feed. The talking head in the studio looks dumbfounded.
-----------------------
Within the next six hours, all hell breaks loose. Protests satrt outside military bases, the news networks begin to pick apart everything the government does after the incident and the general public wants that solder shot.
Atill no word comes from the government and Administrator Delta is no where to be seen.
OOC: TST, this is after Bob leaves.
