Old Frankland

A small hint of activity could be seen on the outskirts of the Sol system, a place that the Franklanders had not seen in many, many years. A few more seconds passed, followed by a brilliant flash of light. The rift had been opened successfully, and the Franklander's ships were able to pass through. Looming serenely in place were the Magnificent 7, the Franklander's entire fleet. The Magnificent 7 were comprised of 1 main craft measuring several miles that housed the "civilians": the normal everyday Franklander. 1 vessel was large science ship several thousand meters long. While nowhere near the size of the main ship, it was extremely large and well shielded. It possessed no weapons, for the Franks know not what "war" and "aggression" are.
3 of the remaining craft were exploration vessels. These ships possessed small sized weapons mostly used for blasting asteriods and other such objects. The Franks had never used these energy weapons in an offensive role in their entire existance, for on their home planet they were the lone race...a race that forever lived in peace. That was until their star went into nova. They tried everything in their power to stop it, but their efforts were in vain........4 billion Franklanders died while a little over 2 billion were lucky enough to escape.
The 2 other craft were construction craft. They possessed many smaller droids, probes, and other such tools. Used to construct their mighty ships and outposts, the miners were paramount to the Frank's survival, for if they could not build shelter how could they survive? The Franklanders were not born for combat in any way. Standing a little over 8 feet tall and weighing around 150-200 pounds, the Franks could do little fighting, hence why war never occured.
But anyways....

Interesting system. Kull thought, communicating telepathically with his mate Tandir. So many diverse peoples living together throughout the system. I wonder if we will ever be able to chart them all...
Tandir turned to Kull. I doubt we would even want to. These lifeforms are....unusual in their ways. They....destroy each other for mere sport it seems....
Kull cocked his head off to the side slightly, his sleek black eyespots shimmering in the pleasant light of control pannel of the main ship. I will send out a signal to all lifeforms throughout this system. I doubt all of them are as advanced as we are technologically, so I doubt that all will even recieve our message.

Greetings creatures of Sol. We are the remaining peoples of a culture now destroyed and scattered to the nether-regions of space. We come to study and observe you and your peoples, so do not be alarmed by our presense.
