The Liberal Unitary Republic of Goobergunchia hereby withdraws from the United Alliance of Progressive States. Although we bear no emnity towards the nations of the same, we find the military obligations excessively onerous towards Goobergunchia. We also are incapable of holding lengthy hostilities towards nations of our region. We hope to maintain friendly relations with UnAPS member nations in the future.

Effective immediately, James Carenthas is recalled as Ambassador to said alliance.

"The Knootian government regrets that it had to come to yet another resignation from the UnAPS following the Knootian resignation. Our government sincerely hopes to maintain and improve relations with the Liberal Unitary Republic now that both nations have resigned from the United Alliance of Progressive States.

We understand the Goobergunchian position. The government feels that Knootoss, Goobergunchia and the other nations who have so far resigned share a common view of this situation. In this situation, all nations and all peoples are victims. We sincerely regret the Goobergunchia casualties in the Allanean conflict, and their names will be added to the war memorial that is to be opened soon in Utrecht along with those of the Vaadians, Knootians and others that have perished. Let us hope that the list will not reach the impossible lengths.

Again, the DDR calls on all parties for a peaceful solution to the terrible conflict that lead up to these events."
