Lets have a discusion on submarines.
I build subs in NS. I have the famous Galaxy class I designed and sold hundreds of. I use the American Albacore teardrop hull with the conning tower right off of the Soviet "Body of Revolution" design. I actually used an early concept for the Virginia NSSN. The final design looks more like the 688 and 688i that it is replacing.
On to real subs, I find the Virginia interesting. I don't like the fact that it has a slow speed that is barely half of the Seawolf (thank you Clinton you dirty SOB for cancelling Seawolf). It loooks like a Los angeles class with the side arrays of a Seawolf
There are rumors of a new Russian SSN. The only subs recently built as SSNs have been an Akula I and Akula II. They build Kilo SSKs for escort still.
