Sremi Council member Luc Jach Par stepped up to the podium. It was not just another day inside the walls of the N.M.B.J. (National Mortal Board of Justice). He was as of now standing before a delegations house full of millions of people. Not to mention this was being broadcasted nationwide, and in over 20 other countries. To say the least he was nervous.
Why didn’t they get a Senator to do this? he wondered to himself. It was a proud day, it had just recently been decided that a new Chief of State would be put into power. Her name was Niomay Starkiller. the thought alone comforted Councilman Par. This country had long suffered political unrest, and was now in good hands, at least in his opinion.
He looked up from his speech paper, and stared at the crowed. They looked anxious. They looked dangerous. But he calmed himself, he was a strong Buddhist, which the Carpaithian people did not know about. It did not matter though, since the country was so religiously diverse. He stood up, and raised his hands, the chatter grew silent…. gets me every time… he spoke,
“ Greetings to all those who are watching and to my fellow Carpaithians… I am Sremi Council member Lus Jach Par of the Republic of Carpaithia… I would like to take this moment to welcome all our distinguished guests… as you know, today is the your opportunity to ask any questions of us, and our people, and our lifestyles… I have with me a panel of distinguished Men and Women who will answer your questions along with myself… without further ado… let the questions begin…”
