Yurka opens giant resort
http://img6.photobucket.com/albums/v19/BrianJ/MAXcity.jpg
After over two decades of planning and one large large scale project which included the movement of numerous buildings, the casino city of MAX city is finally done. It is located on a small island West of the Yurkan penninsula and only accessible by either plane of an enormous bridge spanning across miles of ocean.
Most laws commonly found elsewhere are waived at MAX city, including prostitution, drug use, and many other "soft" laws. The city itself includes many 5 star restaurants, hotels, and brothels(Government run of course) along with a large variety of amusement parks and gambling establishments.
Why spend your next vacation/buisiness conference in some normal tourist trap? Come to MAX city and live it up in style, where its always a party and the drinks are tax free!
Looks like the perfect place to bomb on a gathering of the world's subhuman hedonistic scum.
Looks like the perfect place to bomb on a gathering of the world's subhuman hedonistic scum.
Why would you call Max city such things? What makes hedonism subhuman? If anything it might be too human for you to acknowledge. It hurts nobody and the church of Yurka has no objections. After all, everyone needs to relax once in awhile...
Unless of course you are brainwashed by religion or some other medium into ignoring basic human desires. But then again such institutions are criminal in the empire of Yurka. A nation such as yours, which has absolutely no civil freedoms or political freedoms, has no right to say such things.

Are the prostitutes unionized, or does the government act as a filthy scumbag of a street pimp?

Hedonism is against Sino's doctrines of National Discipline. Prostitution and drugs erode morality and society. Human desire is for superiority, not inferiority. Basic human desires are food and basic shelter and ocassionally sex (primarily for reproduction), not such shallow, addictive 'pleasures'.
Are the prostitutes unionized, or does the government act as a filthy scumbag of a street pimp?
What difference does it make? It's prositution- a crime.

What difference does it make? It's prositution- a crime. It may be a crime in Sino, but it is apearantly not a crime in the Yurkan city of MAX. In Free Outer Eugenia, prostitution would be impossible and unnessesary as we have no currency and love like all else is exchanged freely.
In less just and less free societies though prostitution can be a form of exploitation. Sex workers, like all workers, must form organized democratic collective bodies such as labor unions to frotect themselves from their exploiters.

<Sgt Mallory>"Um, sir, we've not even attacked france yet."
<General Tuppence>"What?! Then who's village did I just burn to the ground?"
<Sgt Mallory>"Er-"

We are a very great nation which gives everyone the same amount of rights despite all outwards appearances. They, like all Yurka employees have the right to a union, and like all Yurkan workers are monitored by the government.
This had lead to a very low AIDs rate(Like in Japan) thanks to preventative precautions. Prostitution and brothels may be illegal in the oppressive government of Sino, but in Yurka we pride ourselves in our "modern" view of things, not shackling ourselves to outdated religious-hooey.

This MAX city is sick disgusting and depravied. It takes the cake on corruption. You are supporting pimps and drug dealers. They kill thousands of inocent people a day. What you are doing is insane. You are something that gives tourism and mass marcket a bad name. I hope your city will crumble because of your moral decidence and your heathen practices.
Semi IC: Do you accept space tech Yurka? If so, Aurora Starlines, which runs a passenger liner route from Gregor to Sol would be interested in adding MAX City to it's list of destinations for Earth bound travellers. The liners wouldn't land, they simply sit in orbit and ferry passengers to spaceports (or in this case airports) with pinnaces, which are about the size of a modern day space shuttle.

Sino isn't religious either. We are ultra-nationalist, conservative and militant.

We accept space tech, we used to be one before a nuclear war which desolated the our main city. Yurka has no drug dealers or pimps, they all work for the government. They simply distribute a service, not unlike those who pump your gas at gas stations.

I don't suppose we can send our sexual deviants there and forget about them. They can work there and not come back which is what we might just do.
The Federation of Utilitarian Communes despises this flea trap of a travesty of a location. Humanity should not spend its time in leisure and should spend its time in work. Through work, one can define themselves and define their purpose as a life form; therefore becoming a happier person. Giving into the foolish temptations of human desire will not make you a happier person but will only increase your own emptiness as a person thus falling prey to greater despair and misery.

The son of Emperor Yurka, Erik, steps down from the X-wing he owns. He has one last mission to complete before he is awarded the rank of Jedi Knight; but for all intents and purposes, he IS a Jedi. Months of training under the esteemed Master Rydo has given him the powers and air of those who use the Force for good, and now, he has chosen to return home.
"Tell Father, that I have returned home." He said, nearly all traces of boyhood gone, yet he is still a youth.
"Yes, my Prince." A guard answered, as the youth passes by, cloak swishing.

Prostitution is legal, encouraged and government-run in Centcontria, as well. However, drugs are strictly forbidden. They damage one's ability to serve the Central Dictatorship.
In our totalitarian state (absolutely totalitarian state, in fact) paying for sex is one of the few things you are allowed to do, since the money goes to the government.
We wish to arrange leave for our soliders there, each shock trooper getting a free trip once a year, and each rear trooper getting a free trip once every two years, or half off once a year (their choice.) Happy and sexually fulfilled soldiers fight better. Now, we ask you one thing in this lucrative deal: Do not let any of our soldiers use any drugs, including alcohol.

We will certainly make sure that the soldiers are not allowed to use drugs, and may even open a (very)small drug-free zone for people not wanting to experience such things.

Emperor Yurka sat at his desk deep below the capital city of Yurka, looking over numerous papers and such when the door opened and an advisor walked in.
"Sir... It appears that Eric has returned from CoreWorlds but has one more mission to complete before he finishes his training..."
"Excellent... Its good to have my son back, we will throw... A party for him, be sure to send an invitation out to Rydo."
"Yes my lord..."
