[CNC press wire-New Grey Havens] The departments of Military Affairs and Science jointly confirmed in a press conference today that over the last week four successful satellite launches were carried out from inside the Lokisgaard Bay Military Base;it is understood that the launches were carried out using Bifröst launchers, and that the four satellites placed into orbit were the first elements of the Orb Star navigation network. The two Bifröst launchers remainign at Lokisgaard will apparently be used to loft a special container with two satellites in order to allow the converted ICBM bodies to carry out multiple launches, as an intermediary measure until the Bifröst II enters service; at the same time, the DoS also confirmed that prototype hydrogen scramjets and pulse detonation engines for high-altitude planes-capable of launching satellites into low-earth orbit-were being experimented, so far with success, at Lokisgaard.
