With the greatest respect to the government of Lavenrunz, who SeOCC recognized as duly empowered by free and fair elections, it seems rather obvious that the environment within their nation has become hostile and in fact dangerous to elements of society expressing certain ideologies. Freedom of thought is foremost among the principles of humanity, but in our devotion to diversity we must also honor the will of a majority.
In that vein, I wish to reiterate SeOCC's standing offer of asylum to all, and to offer all factions within Lavenrunz, who feel their own beliefs have become to extreme for their homeland, a home within SeOCC. It is hard to leave an ancestral home, especially one where one has labored for so long, but there comes a time when one must accept that their home and their life have diverged too radically to reconcile.
Political and cultural dissidents are always welcome in SeOCC, regardless of whether they agree with our government or not. If any individuals do choose to accept our offer, SeOCC will provide transportation and will grant them honorary or full citizenship, whichever they prefer, which will allow them to claim their full stipent in SeOCC, which includes, for free, regardless of work status, food, clothing, housing, education and healthcare.
It is my sincere hope that individuals who find themselves in conflict with their own society will find a new home in SeOCC.
