OOC: Only tags will be accepted from nations other than myself and TST, just to keep this thread from possible hijacking.
IC: Administrator Delta leaned back in his chair, an old leather antique that was painstakingly preserved while still being used every day. The desk was even older, but rarly had more than stacks of paper and a computer on it. After waiting for the uplink to the orbital nets to initialize, he spoke. "Bob, our nations have been rather distant for too long. I remember when I was a soldier in a GDODAD operation before the name change to Dominion.
"We wish to reopen political ties to nations of the GDODAD. Yours will be the first. I would greatly prefer a personal meeting over dealing with an underling. You have the power to approve or disapprove anything and everything we may discuss, they will not."

"Administrator, I have always though fondly of your nation, and I was saddened when our nations grew distant. I would be pleased to come. Expect my jet to arrive in the next few hours."
His Imperial Majesty, The Great Ineffable Bob.
About three hours later...
"This is the Ineffable Jet, carrying The Great Ineffable Bob for a meeting with Administrator Delta, requesting permission to land."

"Permission granted. A limo is waiting near the runway."
When the plane lands and Bob exits, he would see a lone limo with the driver, a uniformed military officer, waiting beside it. Apparently the world at large did not know much about the meeting.
During the ride to the palace, they pass through downtown Skye(Warsaw), seeing things much different than it originally was, with large monuments to heros and even a hundred story marble oblisk. The most interesting thing about the trip would be the Plasma Pyramid, a series of interconnecting tubes through which plasma is pumped. The light from it made it glow, even in the middle of the day.
Finally they reach the palace, a large, two winged, golden yellow colored building. All in and around it, there were military officers, soldiers and agents. Waiting at the steps was the one agent dressed differently, addening a hat and overcoat. "Welcome to the Combine."

As TGI Bob stepped off the plane, he was pleased to note the lack of attention. He preferred things discreet.
As they passed the pyramid, he was most intrigued, and inquired as to it's purpose.
As they arrived at the destination, he was pleased at the reception.
Thank you, Mr..?
I look forward to future friendliness between the Combine and my Empire. Will I be meeting with the Administrator immediately, or am I to be shown a tour of your impressive facility first?

The man blinked and looked at another nearby agent, who was obviously amused. "Uh... I am Administrator Delta. And we can do either, depending on what you wish."

The man blinked and looked at another nearby agent, who was obviously amused. "Uh... I am Administrator Delta. And we can do either, depending on what you wish."
OOC: Sorry, my mistake. I've just re-read your post and I only noticed the "the one agent dressed differently part" just now. It was half twelve in the morning when I posted last time, so I must have missed it since I was so tired.
IC:
"Oh, my most sincere apolgies Administrator. You must forgive me, I've had few dealings with your administration so far, and you appeared slightly different in the dossier my underlings gave me. I didn't recognise you, again, please accept my apologies.
A tour would be nice, but I feel it would be better to get straight down to business, don't you agree?"

OOC: S'okay.
IC: "It is allright. My appearence varies regularly." He smiles ane extends his arm out. "I believe that getting to work would be more productive for both of us."
After a short walk through a large foyer, they passed an unfinished mural that featured King Arthur fighting the Mongols, a coyboy on a dinosaur chasing Hitler, and Siri and Melkor playing chess. Delta explains it was Lord Tian's pet project. It summed up the world's history in a blaze of god awful colors. A flight of stairs up(the palace apparently was too old to have elevators initially) and into an office overlooking the rear gardens, they walked, Delta taking a seat and nodding to an Agent. "Coffee. Black with a shor of whiskey in it." he smiles at Bob. "Would you like anything, before we start?"
The Silver Turtle
18-04-2004, 19:20
"Thank you. Bob shook the Administrator's hand. "Let us proceed.
"An intriguing man, Lord Tian. However, we never used to get on very amicably, I saw the thing as being coolly neutral. I hope we can be closer than that. Are you planning to have the mural finished?
When the reached the office, TGI Bob sat down.
"I'll have the same, thank you. Now, you mentioned "reopening political ties" with GDODAD nations? Would you care to expand upon that Administrator?"
Crimmond
18-04-2004, 22:08
Delta nods. "Yes. The Combine has grown to complacent with it's isolation. With Damien's return in Autimagfreek, we have begun serious talks of alliance. But you are among my nation's oldest allies. We're looking to strengthen any ties we can, short of rejoining the GDODAD. That would not suit our goals at the moment. We wish to become aliies once again."
The agent arrives with the two drinks and Delta takes one. "That and the fact that the military flat out demanded you be the first spoken to pompted the inivitation."
The Silver Turtle
19-04-2004, 17:47
"I would be glad to count the Combine among the Empire's allies once more. I can understand why you do not wish to rejoin the GDODAD, and that is fine. But I accept your proposal of an alliance."
Bob took the other and tasted it.
"Very nice. I'm pleased your military thinks so highly of me..."
Crimmond
19-04-2004, 21:12
Delta chuckles, as do the two agents in the office. "No... they think highly of your military equipment." He takes a drink of the coffee. "You see, we are short in major areas of defense, mostly of our coastline. We've had port cities attacked several times, landings have been made. Of course they were repelled in hours, but it's not good for PR."
Delta sighs. "The military is demanding I get them newer Supremacy class submarines, as the only one we have is one of the four you sold to GDODAD members back when Crimmond was a member."

"I'm impressed and pleased at the same time. They must have been useful to you, for you to have kept them all this time. My boffins have actually designed a successor to the Supremacy class, along with new ships for our entire navy. The versions you have, while invisible to most forms of detection, still have telltale heat signatures. The Domination class has been designed to eliminate this, while incorporating updated versions of the technology aboard the Supremacy, and more firepower too. W.M.D. Arms Manufacturing has been selling them for the fairly low price of 1.5 billion. However, an old friend of the Empire like you, we could probably give you them for 1 billion each. Of course, if you wish to stay with the original Supremacy design, you could have them as well. We could even negotiate giving you the plans and production rights for the Supremacy, although we'll be retaining the Domination's secrets for the moment." Bob smiled, "If you will be making a large order, I suggest you tell me now. The Ineffable Advanced Arms Construction factories aren't as numerous as those of WMD Arms Manufacturing, so a large order from them will take longer. However, I can contact them directly and specify a priority to make things go more quickly. But, if you wish to take your time, you can browse our military catalogue (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=129665). I'm afraid it does not contain the stats for the Supremacy class, but it does so for the Domination. I hope this will be of some help keeping your seas safe, Administrator.

Delta nods. "The Monitor is our oldest active duty ship of any class. While it is outdated in terms of what we both have, it has served us well. The Domination class sounds intriguing, I think one of that class would be in order, to see if it is improved enough over the Supremacy to warrant us purchasing more."
He pauses and looks at and agent, who was tapping at a PDA. He looks over and nods. Delta smiles. "The planetary military advisor has just been brought up to date on our conversation. He is in what was Baggera at the moment, securing small pockets of resistance." Another look at the agent. Another nod. "I believe we can make a deal for the production plans for the Supremacy class, along with the order for one Domination class submarine."
The Silver Turtle
21-04-2004, 21:04
"Very well."
TGI Bob leant forward and rolled up his sleeve, to reveal a large metallic object covering most of his lower arm. He pressed a few buttons, and then settled back into his chair.
"It would appear we have one in stock, so it is on it's way. There is one more accompanying it, to ferry home the crew, rather than to protect it." He grinned. "They'll be bringing the Supremacy plans with them aboard the submarine. I hope it's all right if they just surface in your port? Their slipping through your defence nets would be a demonstration of their capabilities."
Crimmond
22-04-2004, 06:23
Delta nods. "Have them surface in Gdansk. We'll make sure the coast defenses don't open up on them." The unsaid order was tapped by the agent with the PDA. "Now... I know the price of the submarine, but you haven't even mentioned the plans. I assume their is a charge. That much information on a still viable class is not without cost."
The Silver Turtle
22-04-2004, 18:29
Bob tapped his wrist again, to signal to the subs the location to surface.
"Ah, everything has it's price, some things more than others. Let me think; the submarines shall probably be taking the place of your main attack sub, so that makes them valuable. Not that they aren't valuable anyway. A lot of money could be made by selling you the submarines...
Say 100 billion?"
Crimmond
23-04-2004, 03:41
Delta looks at the Agent with the PDA, who arches a brow. Delta looks back. "100 billion... That can be arranged easily." He smiles. "Now... would there be anything we could do for you, other than give you lots of money?"
The Silver Turtle
24-04-2004, 14:12
"Hmm. We've never really investigated gravitic technology. Personally I always thought floating tanks were more flashy than actually useful. However, our allies including you seem to use them fairly often, and we don't like being left behind. We could develop it ourselves, but a head start would be nice. My boffins are already working overtime."
Crimmond
25-04-2004, 05:17
Delta tilts his head. "Grav tanks are basicly useless to us. You have to put booster on the back to compensate for kickback from the main gun. We only use it for transports. Treads are here to stay, it seems. To get you the research on it, you could talk to Doctor Saratov, head of the Science Council. A hint with him, don't say it's for military use. He'll charge you then. For a working unit, we could sell you a few Delnors and Swamptanks."
He hands a PDA listing the readouts on both to Bob.
[code:1:e3f3cd5d96]Delnor Class Dropship
Cargo/Troop Transport
Armaments:
6 Covered Swarm Racks
2 Heavy Lasers
Capacity: 40 soldiers and equipment.
The workhorse of the Crimmond Marines, its heavy armor is relied upon to get the ship to the site, drop off the module and fall back in one piece. It can also provide short range fire support, if need be.
Swamptank MK-IV
Wetlands/Stealth Insertion Craft
Armaments:
3 Swarm Racks
3 SR Autocannons
Capacity: 12 soldiers and equipment.
The Swamptank MK-IV is really not a tank. It is a specialized dropship designed to insert Strike Marines into wetlands for stealth operations. The MK-IV uses antigrav and repulsers for lift and movement respectivly. This gives it a slower speed, but with much less noise. Recently it has been used in successful insertions of teams in deserts and urban areas, but remains mostly a wetlands dropship.
Crimmond Missile Technologics Swarm Missile System
Range:- 12 Km
Missile Speed:- 1500 Kmph
Warhead:- High Explosive
Blast Radius:- 20 meters
Tracking System:- Infra Red seeking
Use: Mainly anti-shield/anti-armor. Used against 'soft' targets as well.
Used with every Crimmond unit in service, the system is the most known weapon in the Crimmond military. Extremely small and easy to use, they are a devastaing weapon in the hands of a Marine or on the battleships of the Crimmond Space Corps.[/code:1:e3f3cd5d96]
"What do you think?"
The Silver Turtle
25-04-2004, 12:58
"Not bad. Quite interesting actually, thank you. I'm sure my scientists will think up a way of using it. I'll get an aide to talk to the doctor, I myself am not the most scientifically-able person around, Bob Minor ususally does all that, or if he's not around Dave takes a look. He's quite interested in that stuff. He tried to explain some of the theory to me once, but I didn't quite get it.
Your missile looks impressive, I must say. However, I'm curious as to how it's deadly in the hands of a marine? Does he just throw it?" TGI Bob said, grinning.
Crimmond
25-04-2004, 17:16
Delta doesn't grin. He just ashakes his head. "No. A marine's armor carries at least two missiles. A strike marine fires using a LAW rocket type system, while an assault marine's much heavier and more powerful armor allows him to fire straight from the suit. The missiles are extremely useful in urban areas. We've even seen an assault marine take out a Madcat with three missiles."
He looks at the agent with the PDA, who hands it to him. "Let's see. The military is willing to sell the Delnor class for thirty million each. The Swamptank would be fourty million, but has more sophisticated equipment. Saratov has been infromed of your interest and is allready contacting your own scientists about transmitting the information." Delta does smile at that. "Scientists are ever so trusting. Even the ones who have an admiral for a brother."
The Silver Turtle
25-04-2004, 18:00
"I must say I'm impressed. I wouldn't like to see what'd happen to my boys if they ran into your marines.
I'll take two each of the Delnor and the Swamptank. That'll be 140 million off your 101 billion bill, if my maths is correct.
Also, if I'm not mistaken the submarines should be arriving in the next half hour. Did you have anything else you wished to discuss with me?"
Crimmond
26-04-2004, 05:07
"I don't think so. In other crcumstances, I would suggest political alliance... but we are involved in another alliance at the moment and are not seeking to expand politically at the moment."
The Silver Turtle
26-04-2004, 18:10
"Very well. May I enquire as to who your alliance is with?
Well, if there's nothing else I suppose I should be going. Bob Minor's been buzzing me for the past ten minutes."
Crimmond
26-04-2004, 18:17
Delta smiles. "Even I don't know who I'm allied with at the moment. Secrecy is annoying at times, but in my line of work, it's a constant."
The Silver Turtle
28-04-2004, 18:09
"As it is of mine. We take every precaution at electronic Metus summits, and yet moles remain an ocasional problem."
Crimmond
01-05-2004, 01:49
Delta nods. "Metus is considered a joke through most of the world. Probably because you aren't out rampaging like the old days. Even Melkor isn't feared anymore. Respected for his military might, yes... but not feared." Delta sighs.
"Sir." It was the first time the agent had spoken. "The defense net is tracking something approaching the harbor of Gdansk. It could be the subs."
"How far out?"
"Less than ten miles, no less than three. The net is having a hard time keeping a lock."
The Silver Turtle
01-05-2004, 18:43
"Ah, it was fun in the old days, but now...such a manner of operations simply wouldn't work, with the size of modern nations and the wide range of technologies employed around the world. Still I often wonder if we should try it, but cries of "warmongers!" can arouse more enemy forces than it's worth fighting."
TGI Bob checked the device on his wrist again.
"That should be the subs, course predictions suggest that they're roughly in that area. We can't accurately track them without giving away their position."
Crimmond
02-05-2004, 05:48
Delta sighs. "How did one word become so infamous? At least we aren't considered as bad as the Nazis. Well... excluding Kane and Melkor."
The Agent looked at them both. He was too young to know the original GDODAD from anything but a history book. Delta looked at him and nodded. A few buttons were pressed. Delta looked back and smiled. "Just reminding the defenses that shooting at the subs is a bad idea."
The Silver Turtle
02-05-2004, 20:13
"It was approaching it though, when we gave up and "reformed". We're only now regaining some of the power we once had, and lost with the crash, but even so the respect, as you said, has gone. It's amusing though, to think that what started off as the brainchild of three dictators could sweep the world leaving a wound that, although it can never be reopened, will never heal, a wound given the form of a mere six letters."
