A formal letter was sent to Ilek Vaad from the government of Phyrric

"It has been brought to our attention that personnel from the Nation of Ilek Vaad was within the blast radius of the bomb that exploded in Axackal. The intention was not to lay waste to friends of Phyrric, but rather to end a war that UnAPS, the former alliance for which we mutually belonged, had and still pursues.

Phyrric has been condemned by several, but praised informally as well. The only regret that Phyrric has over the incident is the killing of allied units and that the message was not received nor understood. The killing continues on in Allanea and the death toll has now surpassed the numbers that Phyrric has killed. The cease fire seemed only to be temporary enough to pick up the dead and nothing more.

There are two parties here that wish to eliminate eachother, it is sad that Phyrric walked away from this situation and Ilek Vaad continues. Loyalties only go so far and when allies asks of yourself to participate in needless slaughter, one must ask, are they worth it?

The evidence is clear where Phyrric stood all along. It was no dark secret, even to the Sec of Dipl and the Sec of Intel, that was both informed of the situation, but still desire war, still desire war even after lives are gone, still desire war even after an alliance is falling apart because of it, still desire war at all costs.

Phyrric has always been an ally of Ilek Vaad and select others within UnAPS and desires to be so. There are several nations that Phyrric has severed relations with and no longer desire such relations, they are listed as follows:

War is the reason that several members have left UnAPS, they have left because they do not desire to go on the warpath, even when options are available and peace is possible.

If Ilek Vaad does not accept this apology and cannot be brought forward to end this conflict, then they are just as guilty as those that have started it and continue on with it."

After the message was sent to Ilek Vaad, Pyrrhus turned to his joint chiefs.

"We must prepare for our defenses as this situation is escalating. Go to DEFCON 2 and expell the diplomats from UnAPS. All that wish to remain must contact us, the only ones invited to stay are Ilek Vaad, Pauldustllah, Corpius Scotia, Hattia, Knootos, Iuthia, Kelanis and Riannen. Escort all others to the Skyport immediately and make sure they are on the next flight out, I do not care the destination."

To our friends in Phyrric,

We are still dismayed and upset by the actions of Phyrrus uni-lateraly using a weapon of mass destruction on the battlefield as well as including us in your accusations of being 'warlike'. We do not entirely agree with all of your motives and some of your motives we most certainly do not trust. We are angered that you would have taken such actions without first stating your intentions. We condemn the use of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons , especially in such a frivolous and flippant way.

However, the step of apologising to us is accepted. We are more than willing to embrace any nation that admits to it's mistakes. We will not always see eye to eye, which is why we must communicate, something we wish you had done before your unfortunate actions. Phyrric's apology goes a long way to repair relations with the Free Republic, but we still reserve a good portion of skepticism and mistrust, the wounds caused cannot be healed in one day, with one statement.

We have alwys been closest to Phyrrus out of any nation. We will not throw away our friendship, especially in light of this apology. We will stand down our forces that were poised to strike Phyrrus and we will carefully reconsider classifying Phyrrus and an 'Enemy of the Republic', provided Phyrrus continues to deal with us honestly, openly and fairly.

Despite what Phyrrus thinks of the war on Allanea, the facts remain. Allanea threatened Edolia, Allanea escalated tensions with Edolia, Allanea invaded Edolia. In a case as clear as that, we have no choice but to side with Edolia and our UnAPS allies. We will not allow the war to become a war of 'imperialism' and we will seek to disable Allanea militarily.

We are very pleased to extend an olive branch to Phyrrus and to discuss these things openly.

First Republican , Ilek-Vaad

OOC: Phyrrus will note that OAV's that have been actively targetting Phyrrus have been recalled. Ilek-Vaad's defensive systems are still monitoring Phyrrus.

We find it odd that Phyrric, one who had advocated for action against Allanea now criticizes us for continuing a war in which they had used nuclear warfare to kill untold thousands of lives -- both enemy and allied, especially when our soldiers are still needed to fend off attacks from an agressor.

If Phyrric wishes to cut ties with us over such a reason; so be it. We have no wish to associate with a nation such as yourself, Phyrric.

The Phyrric ambassador is promptly asked to leave within 24 hours. Mintar's ambassador to Phyrric is also returning home. Phyrric citizens are left alone, but new scrutiny is being placed upon them. All trade has been severed, although there are no other reprecussions.

Hattia is glad Phyrric apologized, even if not to us. (About 20,000 of our soldiers were killed in the blast). We will consider revoking the Enemy of the People status that you recieved, though it will be hard to trust you again.

The CSD has lost 2,800 of its undercover special operations personnel in the blast. Imagine 2,800 declared missing in one day. The government will be in hot water explaining that their husbands where once in the service of Akiros as UCs. The CSD however in this light does not want enemies out of ex-allies. We have considered placing Phyrric on a "neutral-left nation" status. Phyrric citizens and businesses in Akiros will not be in anyway discriminated. You have our word. Good day.
