Once upon a time, the United States of America was a glorious nation. It was the superpower of superpowers, it was the best place in the world. However, America fell. It's lands were divided up by foreign powers like Menelmacar or even local powers like New York and New Jersey. However, there was a small group of people who yearned for freedom again and wanted independence - even if they had to fight for it. They were simply known as the Underground.
They sat in the shadows for years, plotting. The Underground was there for decades, but now they decided to go active. No longer would the Americans be oppressed under evil imperialists! They saw the opportunity. Their numbers had secretly grown to 29 million and if they took action, their numbers could climb higher. About 1 to 3 percent of them would be able to be called upon if neccissary to fight. No superpower would waste that many forces dealing with a large revolt - especially if they were kind, the Underground's leaders rationalized. The wheels of change were in motion....
There was a man sitting on a table outside of a resteraunt. He was dressed in a suit and had a briefcase with him. People gradually past by him, walking casually to their individual destinations. One of those people, however, took the briefcase and layed a slip of paper on the table, face down. The man at the table quickly looked at the message. WASHINGTON. It was the signal. The revolution had begun.
Once the man saw that no one was looking, he stood up and walked into a nearby shop. He walked up to the counter and said, "Let freedom ring." The owner of the store knew the code. She led him to a back room and down a flight of stairs.
"Marc, has it begun?" she asked.
"Yes, Susan," replied the man. "Does this tunnel lead to the Destination?"
"Of course," said Susan. "We mustn't miss the meeting." They walked down the tunnel for what seemed like hours until they reached a large room....
