Elections in Patoxia
Patoxian Elections!
Vote for the party your nation supports. This Poll (and statements of support) will not determine the results but it will influence them.
Patoxian Political Parties:
Confederate Party – Centrist, the Confederate Party is something of a do nothing party, they lean towards a somewhat free market but are not out to make any waves. They seek more control for individual communities and not much else. They are blamed for allowing crime to go unchecked and leading Patoxia into stagnation.
Slogan: Stay the course!
Support: Moderate
Leading member: James Dermont.
Communist Party – Communist, the Communist Party led Patoxia out of it's isolation but significantly wrecked the economy and nearly destroyed the country with massive, unmoving, uncaring bureaucracies. They seek to lead Patoxia to a glorious Soviet future and to intergrate into the USSR more.
Slogan: Workers of Patoxia, Unite!
Support: Very little

Freedom Party – Libertarian, the Freedom Party is a fairly new party but has a large amount of support and it is even rumoured that Emperor Tokugawa favours their views. They support free markets and greater personal freedom.
Slogan: Free Markets and Free Minds
Support: Very Large

National Imperial Unity Party – Fascist, the National Imperial Unity Party is also fairly new however they have links to some of the more infamous organised crime figures and allegedly to the Okhrana. They seem to have sprung up over night with a large amount of funds. They advocate the establishment of and sharp demarcation between social classes, centralization of power in the hands of a single strong leader, an elaborate system of censors, monopolization of industry, a larger powerful military force, and more “living space”.
Slogan: Make Patoxia Strong Again!

Keetoowah Party – Tsalagi Nationalist, the Keetoowah Party has been a fairly minor party in Patoxia. They advocate the establishment of a separate Tsalagi state in Patoxia, better environmental protection, traditionalism, and native rights.
Slogan: Unlock the future.
Support: little

"Your Majesty! I must advise against this course of action! This goes against all that has been..." Louis Golbalcheov pleaded.
"Our decision is final," Emperor Tokugawa interjected, "Now that some degree stability of has returned to the Imperial Confederation, we feel that the Confederate Congress should be restored to advise us. The Power will stay with ourselves, but in order to help our subjects better, we feel that their input is needed"
"But Your Majesty!" Golbalcheov bellowed, "What ruined Patoxia in the first place was that the sc..."
"Enough!" Emperor Tokugawa announced, standing up from the throne, "Golbalcheov, you are one of my most trusted advisers, but I will not have you insulting our subjects... Also I am ordering the Okhrana to release James Dermont immediately, he has done nothing against the Imperial Confederation. Our decision is final and you are dismissed!"
Idiot! He's going to ruin everything!, Golbalcheov thought to himself as he stormed out of of the room.
The Republic of Essenia backs the Communist Party.
Okhrana Headquarters

Louis Golbalcheov walked into his office and closed the door behind him. As head of the Okhrana he was one of the most feared men in Patoxia with power second only to the Emperor. He had masterminded the installation of Nicholas Tokugawa as Emperor, and now was beginning to wonder if that had actually hindered the plan.
"This is not supposed to happen! The F#$&er was supposed to obediently follow our 'advice'!" Golbalcheov groaned.
"This is your failure." Announced a cloaked figure stepping out of the shadows, "You should have had more control over the fool, you are placing the grand plan in jeopardy"
Golbalcheov turned and shouted "Don't you think I F#$&ing tri..."
"There is no try, only do or do not, you are weak Golbalcheov"
"The Emperor won't listen to reason, and he's been influenced by those F#$&ing Freedom F#$&ers!"
"...Again you are weak."
"We'll it's impossible to stop the elections now... if only I was... I have an idea. We can use the system. I'll have a favourable party created, and 'helped' in the coming elections."
"Do not fail us again, Golbalcheov. We may not take too kindly to further failure..."
"Yes, My Master."
Golbalcheov nervously watched the cloaked figure calmly stroll out of the room and then picked up the phone. He had some work to do now.

The People's Republic of New Cnaan supports the rights of the Keetoowah people for independance and cultural freedom.
The National Socialist Republic of Moltar will throw our support behind The National Imperial Unity Party.

Actually he can use Keetoowah as the name of the people since It's a derivative from another of their names.
President Chen of Taiwan has endorse the Confederate Party publicly, saying the two leaders have 'much in common'.

OOC: I'm guessing it's because they make things interesting and add some flavour to RPs. NS would be a lot more boring if everyone was a random moderate democratic country.

Organized Proletarians

The Freeland of Organized Proletarians supports none of the Parties.
A poll was organised to see which party the citizens would support, but the poll was boycotted, because there isn't a Anarcho-Communist/Libertarian Socialist Party.
Bob Tsavanga is one of the boycotters:"A party which doesn't give it's citizens socially equality or liberty doesn't serve the interrests of proletarians and shouldn't be supported". That statement reflects the toughts of most citizens.
Some citizens (600.000) voted tough and voted mainly on the Communist Party (501.000).
