International Dodge Racing Association Accepting Teams

Foe Hammer

(OOC: Don't worry, this thing will NOT be staged. In fact, all winners will be selected at random. So, technically, your stats don't matter, they're just for show.)
The Foe Hammer Dodge Racing Association is responsible for 90% of races in Foe Hammer. During a major investors' meeting, it was suggested that the FHDRA go international.

Any nation wishing to take part in the International Dodge Racing Association must first set up a team. This team must contain a pit crew, a manager, several sponsors, drivers, and of course, a car. As for the car, it must be purchased new from Foe Hammer Automotives, the parent company of Dodge.

The Dodge Viper Competition Coupe is the base model. Each car may be stripped of all unnecessary parts, BUT, certain limitations wechanic, Two Mechanics, Five Pit Cill be put on the upgrades and modifications to the chassis/engine.
The limitations are as follows, and may be altered as the IDRA sees fit.

The chassis of the modified race vehicle may not be extended or shortened by one inch lengthwise, one inch in width or two centimeters in height.
Engines may be modified, the definition of modified being "Replacement of standard equipment, but not exceeding the standard number of accessories per engine." This means a Turbocharger may be swapped for a turbocharger of higher (or lower, for that matter) quality, but the number of parts per engine may not exceed that of the standard, unaltered engine.
Nitrous-Oxide performance enhancement equipment is banned from all curcuit events. ONE Nitrous-Oxide system MAY, however, be installed for Dragstrip Race events. There are currently no limitations on the size of the tank containing the Nitrous.
No computer systems other than communications, timing, Nitrous boost control and the standard vehicle computer may be added to the race vehicle.
If performance equipment is installed in the race vehicle, the brand name of the performance equipment must be placed on the vehicle.
Each race vehicle must be equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission.
In the event of an Endurance competition, a navigation seat may be added to the vehicle. During curcuit events, race vehicles must contain only one seat for the operator.
Each race vehicle must contain a safety cage incorporated engine bracing and a tubular steel roll cage in the cab.
Doors may not be modified, removed or added. The only door modification allowed is weight-reduction.
Rev limits must not exceed 7000 revolutions per minute.
The forward wheel size must be 11 inches x 18 inches.
The rear wheel size must be 13 inches x 18 inches.
The front tires must be P305/645ZR18 Racing Radial Tires.
The rear tires must be P345/690ZR18 Racing Radial Tires.
The vehicle fuel tank capacity must not exceed 28.4 gallons.
The total braking distance at a speed of 60 miles per hour to a complete stop must not exceed 90 ft.
The total braking distance at a speed of 100 miles per hour to a complete stop must not exceed 260 ft.

(OOC: I have a strong feeling I'll be doing this alone, but I'll post my vehicle stats incase anyone DOES join in. My vehicles' dimensions are the standard GTS-R dimensions and apply to rule 1.)

Bah. You all say I build too many ships, go to war too much, etc, and yet when I try to start a peaceful RP, nobody's interested. Hypocrites.

Come ON. Someone's gotta be interested.

The Bottom Line, a fast-developing colony of Kaze Progressa, has set up a team, Rock Bottom Racers.

Both vehicles are identical Competition Coupes, modified with a nitrous oxide system for drag races, an HP timing system and a chassis lowered by 7mm. The stock turbocharger is replaced by an HP model and the weight is lowered from 2995lbs to 2665lbs.

Drivers are Lee Markovski and Nigel Marciss. Team Manager: Clive McAllis.

The Bottom Line, a fast-developing colony of Kaze Progressa, has set up a team, Rock Bottom Racers.

Both vehicles are identical Competition Coupes, with a nitrous oxide system for drag races, an HP timing system and a chassis lowered by 7mm as the only modifications.

So these Coupes have not been altered in any way, weight-wise, engine-wise, etc?

You could swap out the standard Turbochargers for HP Turbochargers. That added about 40bhp to the Foe Hammer models.

And which companies will be sponsoring this team?
Who is the team manager?

Your vehicle numbers are 3 and 4.

Note: All Foe Hammer vehicles have been upgraded, the stock parts have been replaced by top of the line HP Parts, all the way down to stronger bolts. This adds:

West Coast Auto Accessories
Dodge Specialties

To our sponsor list.

AND
2995lbs is the stock weight, not 2600lbs.

The IDRA, in conjunction with the Dodge/Foe Hammer Automotive Corporation, will now take you on an exclusive tour of the Dodge Viper assembly plant in midwestern Foe Hammer.

It all begins on the Chassis and Base Part assembly line. Parts such as camshafts, pistons, valves, even bolts, are forged, and sent forward on an assembly line. All parts for one engine are manufactured in precise coordination, and the assembly line works somewhat like a math problem.

The minor components and body panels are forged from their respective materials. Their respective assembly lines merge, and minor components are sent to assembly stations, where the Engine blocks are assembled by various robotic assembly arms and one person. Body panels, after pressing, are sent to an inspection center where they are rated on Aerodynamics.

The assembled Engine blocks are sent forward on the assembly line, where other equipment is installed.

Body panels, after being painted, are assembled on the vehicle's chassis. The cab components, such as pedals, seats, gauges, etc, are installed, followed by the Engine block. The vehicle is sent through a Dyno test, tuned, and is sent to the shipping center, where it is shipped throughout the world.

"Hello, hello race fans and welcome to the O'Neil Dragstrip on a sunny 90-degree day in the heart of Foe Hammer! Bobby Drazek here, with my partner in crime Jack DeMico on the tarmac. Jack, they're all yours."

"Thank you, Bobby. I'm standing here on the starting line where the Foe Hammer team is launching practice runs. Let's take a peek."

On the starting line sits the #2 Competition Coupe of the Foe Hammer team. Jack takes a few steps back as the exhaust flames and the beast roars to life. The front end rumbles as the driver revvs the V10 Turbocharged engine. The christmas tree comes to life and the lights flicker. An onboard camera shows the action in the #2 car as the lights hit the bottom of the tree.

*Yellow* The engine roars and the driver's hand twitches.
*Green* At that very moment, his hand shoots into motion, the transmission switching into first gear. The Viper launched off the line, the engine gunned to the maximum rev level.

The driver's hand twitches once more as the clutch is hit, moving the beast into second gear. Two gears later, his hands move to a familiar red button on the wheel, thumbing it and forcing the fearsome roar to grow. Fifth gear came, and then sixth. More Nitrous feeds into the cylinders, pushing the already-blurred Viper past the finish line. The timing screen sparks to life displaying the run data.
