Political Tensions Rise in Bajon

Due to the current events on Mars, several political parties and "special interest" groups have stepped up to voice their opinions and try to sway the High Queen's decisions.
However, the factions all know that only one of them can come out on top, and they are all gathering support from the populace.

Political Parties:
-Bajoni Isolationist Party:
The BIP would see Bajon effectively sealed off from outsiders. After the public accusation/insult, from Pilon, of being Imperialist, many Bajonis would see the nation closed off to prevent this from being true. However, the movement is strongly opposed by all of the other parties.

-The Colony Movement
Certain rather adventurous individuals want Bajon to expand throughout the sol system, setting up colonies. This goes against the natural Avari desire to stay together. The Colony Movement has most of its support from immigrants, non-Avari, and residents of the two southern Bajoni provinces.

-Martian Expansionist Party
The Expansionists want to see Bajon spread across Mars in a unified bloc. They voice this need due to the huge population contained in Bajon's limited landmass. The Expansionists are much less accepting of outsiders, but are willing to negotiate shadowy and backhanded deals with them to gain more land. The Expansionists have even been reported to stoop to semi-terrorist activities to gain want they want. On several occasions, the Expansionists and Isolationists have clashed during demonstrations.

-Loyalist Party
The Loyalist Party wants to protect Bajoni interests along with Avari traditions. As they say, they exist to support thier beloved Queen and to support her decisions. The Loyalist Party currently holds the majority of the population, and enforces this through the Loyalist Militia and thier urban propaganda campaign.

Special Interest Groups:
-The Loyalist Militia
The Loyalist Militia represents the Bajonis fervent for thier Queen. The goals of the militia are simply to protect Bajoni interests and Avari traditions. The Militia has been so honorable in thier methods and so helpful to the government that they have been given the police duties in Olympus, and therefor hold the ear of the Queen. Any other group would have to win the support of the Loyalist Militia if they want access to the people of Olympus and the Queen's ear.

-The Unwilling
The Unwilling represent the radical mindset of many Bajonis. They are a radical right-wing militia group, dedicated to supporting the government, as long as they hold to traditional Avari beliefs. The Unwilling are said to have Sleeper Cells set up in many Martian nations. The Unwilling advocates the use of force to achieve Bajoni dominance, but also have their own hidden agendas.

So far, the Loyalists have the most support by far, but in the last few years more radical groups like the Expansionists and the Colony Movement have gained a large following. The Isolationists have remained relatively small due to the common view that they are cowards. The Unwilling has been gaining support as well, and has become a concern of the Queen's. The Underking, however, believes they can be controlled and used. The Loyalist Militia opposes the non-Avari and radical views of the other groups, and works hard to keep all traces of them from Olympus and the most populated of the Bajoni provinces.

The Bajoni Provinces are controlled as follows for the upcoming Directorate elections:

Olympus (3 positions) - Loyalist Party
Seahaven (2 Positions) - Loyalist Party
Deep Bajon (1 Position) - Colony Movement
South Bajon (1 Position) - Bajoni Isolationist Party
New Bajon (1 Position) - Colony Movement
Mizar (2 Positions) - Martian Expansionist Party

As you can see, the Loyalists have lost much, but still hold the majority.

WHO DO YOU SUPPORT?
Vote now in the poll.

A little background help for those who don't know me.

The Avari are a type of Tolkien Elf. Hardly anything is said about them, so I had some leeway there. The Avari are the elves who refused to go on the journey to Valinor with the other elves. They remained in the east, and some of them were tricked by Melkor/Morgoth and turned into the race of Orcs. The Avari don't like any of the Valar, especially Melkor.

As I RP them, the Avari have remained hidden into the presence, making thier existance known, but also fleeing from earth. They settled on Mars and tried to change the old traditions by welcoming Melkor to Mars. After he betrayed the Martian nations, the Avari have gone back to the old ways, and distrust the Valar. As I play, the Avari naturally keep to themselves due to their distrusting nature. And they are not easy to give up the old traditions. Also, they are farely loyal to those they deem worthy.

As for other information relavent to this. Bajon is located on terraformed Mars, with its capital under and spreading out from Olympus Mons...

So, any questions, comments, or political reactions??

((OOC: I voted for the isolationalist party, cuz they would bother us the least from an IC perspective. Meddling in Bajon however is not seen as a political priority for the DDR.

Nicely written btw, the NS tradition of one-issue parties can be seen also here.))
