I doin't mean what RL nation matches your nation spotlight, I mean what nation is the most similar to you in the way to interact with other nations and how people act in relation to you.

Me, I think I'd be Great Britain. I'm not the biggest or richest nation out there, but I'm given respect and acknowledged as someone who, even though I can't single handedly conquer everyone else, can still make a bit of a dent. Also like GB, my power has wained and I'm no longer as big and powerful as I once was (No offense meant to any inhabitants of Great Britain). My high time was back in the GA (Galactic Alliance) when I had 70+ nations at my every beck and call. Now, well, now my entire government has been brutally murderd and half my territory has been annexed (that's where I differ from Britain).

What nation are you?

To be honest i really dont know... i suppose i could be germany.. a good economy.. well.. not a large population really.. quite comfortable in size and quite capable of defending itself.. though im really not sure.. i suppose you have an idea my almighty lord Klonor :D

Imperial Germany from 1900. Dedicated to a colony of expansionism and building up the navy. Also being looked upon as a threat by some nations for being expansionsist, and it is uncertain whether I will follow the path of Imperial Germany to ruin or not.

The U.S. after its national debt gets so large and they get bought out by a giant multinational mega-corp.

I'm not really sure what Skeelzania most closely resembles. Probably the former Soviet Union if anything. Authoritarian goverment, 20% of the budget going to the military, more or less apathy to the citizen's status in life, all that good stuff. The only difference is I have alot of private enterprise and a healthy dose of xenocidal tendencies.

Sweden, perhaps, or maybe Norway.

Darranack is a democratic welfare state with high levels of personal freedom and quite a bit of public enterprise, like those nations.

There is no one like Steel Butterfly...and I make sure of it. However...I'm sure there is some nation in a book or movie somewhat like me, but I've yet to find one.

I'd probably be recognized as some puny, infidelic island in the middle of nowhere.

Anyone else think my nation is like some real life one?

I'm thinking modern China: I don't do a lot of things that are internationally acknowledged, but when they are, they're rather large. And I have a massive army... although in comparison to most, it's rather small...

Militiristic Switzerland (Except Islands and now massive in size...)

Who knows. I really don't interact with many people, although if I did, I could probably crush them under my index finger. It's odd. I'm huge, in my opinion, I RP, and yet people don't run in fear....how sad...

I'd have to say that if AOL-Time-Warner started it's own country, that country would be me. :)

I've tried to act like an international police force in the past, sorta like the US, but it always ends in me getting my a-- kicked, like in the Dark Terror wars and in the Asian War. Though the defining moment of my nation was probably standing up to AMF back in July over Taiwan...

Nobody maimed me, I did it to myself. I just suddenly had an idea (kill off my government and shatter my country) and ran with it.

Perhaps Israel in terms of having a growing military... perhaps one of the Scandinavian countries with a building military. I'm no United States... though it seems that some big countries are trying to avoid war with me for some reason. ;) LOL

Onto what nation I'd most be like?

I'd like to think a mix between imperialist japan and nazi germany but less invasionistic like the pair but more centered around protecting the percieved superior race.

Iraqstan has a massive military strength (read 73rd in the world) and isnt afraid of many nations, cautious of a few but the rest are simply 'sub human filth' and go relatively un-noticed in the grand scheme of Iraqstan's plans.

Action wise, I'd put us more in line with nazi germany, although we havent advertised as muc has they did and we prefer to keep a very VERY low profile on our little 'camps of self enlightenment'.

But the description ends there, since i'm rather larger, my economy is rather kewl and I'm just plain sexah ;).

I don't think Nianacio has a RL relative. I have quite some might, but I don't use it except for when I step in to help the little guy. And I sell cheap junk to anyone I can.

There's no RL nation really like mine I think... Perhaps a cross between Cuba and Scandinavian countries.

Cuba, in the sense that we're communists and most of our people love us for it. Britain, in the sense that we've got pretty awesome forces, but not the best. France, in the sense that we only go to war with tons of allies. America, in the sense that we're rich and our standard of living is through the roof. China, in the sense that we hate people quietly while grinning maniacally and pointing toward our WMDs.

There is no rl like mine, but if I had to choose it would be Ancient Greece.

I'll take that as a friendly make-fun but you have heard of Napolean, right? And of the 1789 revolution, subsequent to which France successfully repelled, alone, an attack by the combined forces of several European monarchies?

France has the rather sad record of being the country that has been involved in the most wars overall throughout history. Not something to be proud of, but something people should be more aware of. If anything, historically, France has always been too eager to go to war, rather than too reluctant.

Ariddia: I wasn't speaking historically, I was speaking modernly. And frankly, besides the Napolean era, quite a few of France's wars historically have been with... well... France.

Highly productive, highly military, an omnipresent security agency (Although its more like the KGB or GRU than like the Gestopo) the only thing we dont lead in that Germany did is education. Its a highly religous state as well, so it can be compared to Rome of the middle ages, because the goverment is all but in name dominated by the offical religion of the nation, also similer to England in the16 and 17th centuary where the monarch (in my case president) is also the head of the national religion

Anyway, I suppose WoS is something similar to a Tory-led Britain unshattered by the Great War, and having followed up on Britain's 1919 plans for war on the US. We're the Britain that was just far enough away from Germany to be unafraid of turning our back to them and taking it to the yanks. Our leader's perhaps a little less charismatic than Winston, but never mind that...

As for Iansisle, um...I don't know. Everyone's apparently British, except we live on a non-existant continent in the north pacific with no history of European descent. And then there's the unusual (and apparently haphazard) mixing of Anglo-Saxon, Irish, Scotish, and Welsh cultures...or the fact that our technology is roughly early-cold war levels, but our social attitudes are extremely Victorian.

And then, as if the Empire of the Shield (which makes up just more than 43% of the Iansislean Commonwealth (ie: what the NS country 'Iansisle' represents, not additional accounts on top of this one) and that the Dominions rip off everything from French to German to Arabic to Persian to Bengali culture, depending on their region, or that...

But I'd ramble on all day if nothing stops me. And I need sleep sooner or later.

So, in conclusion, I can't conclusively type Iansisle. I'd say most - and keep in mind it's FAR from an exact match; VERY VERY FAR - the British Edwardian Empire would probably be the closest I could come. Unless anyone has any better ideas, which I'm more than grateful to hear!

Probably Britain, in that I also have growing nation, with a criminally small army.
Governmentally, (which I do, I'm so funny) I am very identical to Britain, with the constitutional monarchy, and the commons and Lords (I want to invent my own name for them though.)

California and Alaska is what you would end up with if you were to take the United States and a purely socialist Soviet Union, throw them into a blender... and then throw the result 230 years into the future.

If there is a single country in the RL world dominating economically, militarily and commercially, then that would be most like Santa Barbara, except I'm sure that RL nation has far more civil rights and political freedoms.

Hmmm... that's a quandary considering my nation. My people have civic virtue, patriotism and guns like the Swiss. As for my military, my army is a mix of the US and Israeli armies, my navy lbased (at least at first) on US and my air force, while using almost 100% American equipment, uses ranks based on the RAF. My government is a combo of US presidential/federalism and UK parliamentarism with a medieval flavor, a bit of Roman Republic in there as well, my capital (Syskeyiapolis) is on a site sort of like a much-expanded Macchu Picchu and is like a cleaner, safter, prettier mix of Washington, DC, Istanbul/Constantinople and an Italian hill town. My terrian is sort of like SE Asia, the Himalayas and the Vietnamese jungle, my native architecutre (Syskeyiapolis is full of it) is a fusion of Thai, early Gothic, Romanesque, and Byzantine architecuture. My country is also racially mixed, so in that sense it could resemble Singapore (or at least Singapore's image of itself- it's really 80+% Han Chinese), but basically ethnically homogeneous. My people consider themselves both fully part of Western Christendom and Oriental Asia, but feel that both have scorned them and possess a "wounded pride" about it. Any country like that? My people are also very passionate about their country and its culture, like Greece and Italy.

As for religion, my people resemble Ireland, Italy and Poland in that they have a deep love for Roman Catholicism and their culture (which is imbud with it), but like Poland and Malta in that they actually practice their faith and go to Mass. :D

I don't think there's any RL country that can match mine in its passion for Chip n' Dale's Rescue Rangers. :D

For the record, Maniaca, Al Khals would be most cautious in dealings with an economically healthy nation of more than two billion people, with a concentration on defence spending, but we don't seem ever to have crossed your path, so you'll have to make do for now with a lack of respect :) )

Al Jumhuriyah Al Khals Dimuqratiyah bears a lot of similarity to (pre-war) Iraq (with a marginally healthier economy), but is situated on the east African coast*. Essentially it represents a world in which Arabic influence in the region was never entirely over-thrown by more determined European imperialism.

*Yes, we have more oil than is present in the real region, but this is owing to the fact that when I started the nation it was based in the Middle East, and established a lot of relations based on its oil. On moving (for the sake of the nation's development) it was generally agreed that we should not abandon that aspect of the nation's character.
