Chaos in a Land of Order, the AHL in Thelas (R in last part)

Thelas

(OOC: Okay, this gets a little… messy later on so when I tell you, you might want to leave)

It was a bright day in the state of Thelas, in fact, the usually cloudy sky was bright, the sun shone down on the capital of the massive Star Empire. Yet even though this day was bright and cheerful, there were dark spots on the horizon.

In the central square in Thelas, an elf, part of the Anti-Human League, wearing the red and black uniform of the AHL, was standing on top of a special grav-truck, modified to serve as a speaking platform,

“For too long the humans have been our EQUALS! A race, that is frail, that is fated to die by disease, and to die by age. We must not let this perverted justice stand! The humans are allowed to marry our daughters, and their bitches are allowed to tempt our men! We must not let this stand!”

The crowd cheers, but the Thelasi soldiers lining the square are impassive as always, their helmets moving from side to side as they scan the area for threats. Their orders were to protect the humans that did their business in the square, but also to protect the AHL protesters.

“We cannot let this continue. The Humans are an inferior race, yet we treat them as equals. In the days of the founding of this nation, the humans slaughtered and raped the people of the city of Azhnel, what is to say that they will not try that again!”

A female voice rises from the crowd, “They burned my house in the Desert Province!”
A male voice, “They killed my son!”
Another female voice, “They raped my sister!”
The AHL officer speaks again, “And what does the government do?! NOTHING! Under Theallas they would have been put where they belong, in the work camps. Yet under this rule, they get away with it!”

Shouts of “YA!” “WE CAN’T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THIS!” and other expletives (That I cannot type due to that blasted work filter) filled the air.

A human business man who was walking in the street was grabbed, people wearing the red of the AHL surrounded him in a circle, at first the Thelasi troops waited, but the next part was stunning, even to these veterans of both the Shadow War and the Cyberutopian Civil War.

The AHL people ripped the clothes off of the human male. For a second, the Thelasi soldiers could not see, although at that time they were moving in. But then, a piercing scream echoed throughout the square.

(Messy junk starts now)

The next day, the trials of four AHL activists were completed. Evidence was staggering, pictures of the castrated human were shown, the elves had been caught carrying bloodied knifes, and two had been found with the genitals of the human in question, the rest had blood stains, DNA evidence confirmed that the blood belonged to the human.

Fifteen other elves had been arrested for “Criminal Negligence” and “Standing by while a crime was occurring”, the last one was obscure but it was used. The fifteen were sentenced to 90 years Hard Labor, and the other four were sentenced to “Sensory Deprivation Ad Infinitum” (they are suspended in a tank filled with a type of breathable water (well, it has oxygen in it that can be absorbed into the lungs) heated to exact body temperature, all sounds are blocked, and there is no smell, they will be suspended in that until they die of old age), the harshest punishment on the Thelasi books.

The final elf arrested was the inciter of the riot, under Thelasi law, a man who incites a crime, is guilty of all crimes that he incited, he was sentenced to a fate worse than death, he was put on a transport, and sent towards a space that was frequented by Dark Eldar pirates. A message was played when a Dark Eldar ship got close to the pod, “A present is onboard this ship, from Commander Kentherin, to Archon Wrath.”

EDIT: I wrote "human" instead of "elf"

To: The Government of the Star Empire of Thelas

The recent race riot in Thelas has come to our attention. It is the opinion of the Imperial Governemtn that inexplicable anti-human hatred is an ever growing problem which confronts civilised people of all races. In the past, the Imperial Government has sent my predecessor, Sir Michael Phocas, to the Sindarin Empire of Aelosia to speak against a racist decree of human banning which was at that time under consideration by that most esteemed nation's noble council. Her Imperial Highness the Most Pious Princess Irene, the Imperial Chancellor, remains most concerned by the issue of elven anti-human sentiment, and as a result, we would like to offer Sir Michael's assistance to your government to assist in the resolution of the current tensions.

Please advise as to whether you would be willing to receive Sir Michael Phocas,

<<ENCRYPTED COMMUNICATION>>
To: Commanding Officer, HIMS Justinian
From: Commander, Starfleet, Imperial High Command

Captain Galata,

You are hereby ordered to proceed to the sector detailed in the attachment to this order. Once you arrive in the sector you are to scan for a transport pod containing one human, and if you find the pod, you are to retrieve the human on-board and return to the Sol System, where you will rendezvous with HIMS Trajan. Note that a Dark Eldar pirate presence is expected. If you encounter any superior pirate forces, you are to retreat immediately. At all times, your primary duty is to protect and preserve the Justinian and her crew.

A dark hulled ship lit with purple, green and blue energy traveled through space. Moving slowly not to attract the sensor attention of Thelasi border patrols. The pilot, one Ship Unit:402 recieved a transmission.

"Ship Unit:402. Prepare to execute phase 2 of intelligence gathering operation."

Several fragments, blasted with weapons fire were jettisoned out of the storage bay. The metal fragments were assorted Human and Thelasi hull remnants from random ships that the Cyboreans had destroyed or captured. Along with the hull fragments, a single humanoid corpse was deposited near the reckage. Decompression had completed suffocated the Thelasi humanoid and it the corpse, motionless was left to wait with the fragments until someone would find them.

The Cyborean Warship sped off back across the Thelasi Border...

"Ship Unit:402. Operation Complete. In retrospect, Species:Thelasi Elves and Species: Human should deteriorate. Possibility of increased tensions within Thelas."

As the Pantocratorian ship closed in on the pod, a large Thelasi battleship decloaked (there is only one ship in the Thelasi Star Navy that has cloaking, and that is the Acharn), a message was sent to the Pantocratorian ship,

"Pantocratorian warship, this is the Thelasi Impirial Battleship Acharn, you are interfering in a matter of Thelasi state security, withdraw at once, or face imediate, and unpleasant, action"

The crew of HIMS Justinian swallowed hard on the bridge.

"Captain, according to our databases, there's only one ship in the Thelasi Star Navy with cloaking capabilities, the Acharn." says the ship's science officer, Lieutenant Commander Marie Brionne.

"Incoming communication." says Lieutenant Frederic Bulgaire.

"Pantocratorian warship, this is the Thelasi Imperial Battleship Acharn, you are interfering in a matter of Thelasi state security, withdraw at once, or face immediate, and unpleasant, action." comes a voice over the communications system.

Captain Jacques Galata rubs his chin thoughtfully, as the rest of his crew's eyes nervously dart about the bridge.

"Acharn, this is Captain Jacques Galata of the Justinian. We're on a salvage mission. We bear neither you nor anybody else ill-will. Since our presence here is unwanted, we'll depart. " the Captain replies, a curious look appearing on his face. "I'm curious to know, however, what it is exactly we're supposed to be interfering in. A ship like the Acharn is too important just to leave sitting in random systems to ward off wandering explorers, and your message clearly indicates that we're interfering in something, not that we're merely trespassing. You weren't just sitting here on guard, you were sent to intercept us, or somebody else. So, what are we interfering in?"

Galata signals to Bulgaire to mute communications so that he can talk to his bridge crew without it being transmitted.

"Helm, lay in a course for our previous heading, and get ready to engage at maximum speed." Galata says. "If the Acharn decides she doesn't want to answer my question, I want to get out of here before she has a chance to blast us into smithereens."

He turns to his science officer.

"If she gets a weapons lock on us, or looks like she's going to fire, we're leaving. Keep your eyes on your scanner." Galata says.
