OOC: Tech level of this is pre-FTL drive, around 2050, at the upper limit of our tech.

Vanguard Station is a private venture of a group of Feline citizens. It will build a space station with moduarly connected spinning spherical pods (So it can spin to create gravity), as a rival to the Feline Space Station owned by the Feline Government. While the FSS is located in the Asteroid Belt, the Vangaurd Station will be located in interplanetary space, not tied to any astrographic landmarks. Also, the FSS cannot expand its size, being a perfect sphere, while the Vangaurd Station will be able to expand as needed.

It will try to become a nexus for trade, exchange of ideas, etc. Being in space, the station will be free from government regulation other than that of the Vanguard Administration, a organization made to govern the large station.

The Vanguard Consortium is wondering, before plans are drawn up, if there are any groups in other nations that would be interested. This is very important, because the number of modules built will not exceed the number needed by very much.

This nation represents the Vangaurd Consortium. I will have Feline post confirming it.

The Government of Torontonias is willing to invest in this station, although we have achived FTL Drive, What oportunities do you offer?

It's basically going to be a city in space, although probaly about the size of a medium-sized town.

OOC: i just found a factbook for a corporation i had planned on making, making it now.

Here in Slutbum Wallah, the Executive Board for the United Trading Conglomerate has expressed some interest. Of course, once the U.T.C was interested the Free Trading Association wanted a pod to stay competetive, and then the U.T.C stepped up it's order. Of course then the Ministry for Trade wanted one, and once the Ministry for Trade was up the Ministry for Foreign affairs felt left behind and it wanted one. Then the Accounting department got really worried because once you get Trade & Foreign Affairs together more than twenty miles from a decent accountant then everything spirals out of control so the Accounting department is applying for space. And now all of them together are demanding luxury accomodation pods for their own use, including a mini Casino and full leisure complex.

If this gets any worse then you may have the whole SbW government up there with you.

Excellent. We are going to begin construction on the station. We plan for it to have 50 spaces for commercial use at first, plus space for around 2,000 people.

The Dictatorship of Isle City would be happy to supply food for this station, providing that the station picks it up with its own ships. note: the supplies will mainly be trout.

Alright, The Government of Torontonias will place a government owned Research Unit, and the Private Sector will be happy to built yet another branch of the leading Corporate Retailer HiWired. Construction will begin immediately, apon approval.

Excellent. We will inform all of you when the station is complete and you can place final orders for spaces.

The station is now complete. At the center of the station is a sphere containing the Administration (the governing body of the Station) and all associated functions. Radiating out from it in all six directions are docking arms. Each one has ten airlocks on each side, and one on the end. Most of them are unfilled, for ships to dock at or have more pods or docking arms attached, but 100 airlocks total have pods attached. There are fifty apartment complex pods, and fifty commerical spaces available for rent or lease. Prices are fully negotiable. Transportation to the station is available on a Vanguard Transport. It is free (we assume you will spend money once on the station.) However, you cannot take anything with you except the clothes on your back, and of course, money cards. Exchange your cash for a card with equivilent value Vanguard Credits in flight.

To keep the station safe, it has six torpedo tubes and six laser emitters. It has a small shuttlebay, which currently has six Vanguard Shuttles. Also docked to the station are two Vanguard Transports.

OOC: Finally, sorry for the Delay, the Server hasn't been very cooperative the past few days.

The Government of Torontonias wishes to purchase 6 residential pods for our new research facility, three of them need to be refurbished (At our expense) to support research and scanning equiptment. The other three residential pods will be used to house our Scientists and Technitions, during their stay.

Also, the private company HiWired wishes to purchase 2 retail pods and build an outlet of their world spanning corparation.

Finally, The University of Torontonias (Another Private Company) has expressed intrest in building one of their own pods on the station, to be used as the next branch of the Prestigious University. It would need to be quite large, since it would need to fit an entire campus and Residencies.

On second thought, Isle citys not that advanced. forget the trout, it was a red herring.

We're not selling the pods. We're leasing and/or renting the pod, and you can outfit the interior however you wish.

The Republic of Ancient Terra has never focused on space flight, prefering to attend to the more earthly interest of submarine construction. To this date, we only maintain 50 orbiting satellites and a small group of rudimentary space shuttles.

We see this station as the best (and cheapest) way to establish a presence in space.

Tadros Corporation would like to rent 5 commercial pods, in order to establish a retail complex that markets clothing, convenience items, and electronics.

The government of Ancient Terra would like to rent a further 3 commerical pods, to outfit as a bank/safety deposit box/mail center. For mail delivery, we have five shuttles available that could make daily trips to and from the planet.

We would like to know the cost of facilitating these requests.
