Syskeyia

I've been on Mars way too long, thought President and First Consul Benedict Michael Sukothai as his Blackhawk flew throught the Martian air. Waaay too long.
Indeed, he had spent a great deal of time on the Red Planet, visiting and helping the relief crews helping heal the victims of Melkor.
Now, it was time to go home.
But for one last thing.
Deep within the lands of Sentinel Two, near the flattened mountain of Minas Morion, lie the graves of several hundred thousand Syskeyian soldiers, victim of Melkor's nukes, a testament to the Dark Lord's cowardice and malice.
In the middle of the graveyard stood an extremely large marble monument. At the bottom were engraved the names of all the Syskeyian soldiers who died that day. Above it were several panels, displaying this message written in English, Latin, Greek and Quenya:
HERE LIE THE BODIES OF THE SYSKEYIAN SOLDIERS WHO DIED IN A NUCLEAR ATTACK BY THE FORCES OF MORGOTH ON FEBRUARY 20TH IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 2003. MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON THEIR SOULS AND BRING THEM TO EVERLASTING LIFE.
And surmounted on top of this were several angels adoring a cross.
The ceremony took long, but Sukothai didn't remember much of it. All he remembered was that the Archbishop of New Syskeyiapolis had blessed the place and consecrated it to God.
Later, the Praesidens et Primus Consul Reipublicae Syskeyiae boarded his transport and made his way back to Earth.
It was time to go home.
The one last thing had been done.
God bless,
The Republic of Syskeyia
