OOC-This is between myself and Starblaydia, although you may tag or bookmark this thread.
IC-
We propose a series of tests, although you may propose more if you feel it would be beneficial.
1. Flight Without Firing, without preperaton of Ground Forces
2. Flight Without Firing, with ground Forces Preperation
3. Flight at Attack Speed and Altitude
4. Dip at close Range to base
5. Assault on Base
6. Missile Assault on Base
We will user laser ammunitions to attack your base, and ask that you would do the same as each flight unit costs £1.3 Billion, and we don't have Trillions fo dollars to pour into this project. Anyhow, the launch module is being assembled and ready for flight, as is the Bravo 2 Squadren-untill Bravo 1 returns...

[OOC- Took my time cooking dinner, so sorry that i'm a little late]
These conditions seem fine to me. We'll see if a next-gen craft can get through some simple yet highly-committed defences. See if you can go six for six. Laser-pointers for munitions would be fine by us, as Patriot Missiles are not cheap for a four-pack.
Test 1 will be at our standard readiness (bearing in mind we got a brief trace of your craft the first time at this level).
Tests 2 through 6 at Wargame Defcon 1 for radar and SAM sites.

Then we will begin.
Bravo 2, this is operation controll. Feel free to proceed with take-off
Affirmitive Controll, Synchronized lift off systems engaging now.
The engines on the P-CAR units begin roaring as the remaining flight crews at Peonix Air Base cleared from the area.
Final Checks Complete Controll, engaging Take Off Engines
The ground shook as the 7ft tall brakes collapsed into the tarmac, allowing the P-Car's Super Load Bearers to speed down the extended runway towards the skies.
Lifting from ground Controll, Bravo 2 group away
The jets took off and made for their slow accent into the clouds.
----------------------->2 hours
Controll, this is Bravo . We are in position for launch of Test unit. Permission to open doors required.
Permision granted. Engage operation Bravo 2
Affirmitive Controll.
The doors slid open and the small white projectile was lowered, with its wings folded arround itself like a bat. It reversed up the runway and the final electronic checks were completed.
Ready for launch Controll. Permission required to engage Magnets
Engage Bravo 2, Release Projectile
The magnets hummed and the projectile XAS-222 began flying down the tunnel, towards Starblaydian airspace, and the attack.

"Heads up people, here they come." Said Captain Ortega
The flight of Cargo planes were just registering on the edges of the Starblaydian radar station at Flash Peak. The Captain in charge knew exactly what was coming, but he had to make like he didn't know, just for the excercise. It was a normal day at the office, supposedly
"Large flight of aircraft closing in, moving slowly," his Junior Lieutenant manning the screen was more on edge now than ever before. So much for not being ready.
"Wait..." The Lieutenant had spotted it, if only for a moment, "Somethings coming at us."
"Hypersonic?" asked Ortega
"Affirmative."
"Launch the Alert-Five craft." Ortega punched a button, "Unknown craft, this is Starblaydia Air Control, turn one-eighty degrees, one-eight-zero from your present course or you will be targted by fighters and ground-to-air defences. Respond"

The automated responce was sent back from the XAS-222 unit, confirming that it would not avert course and would proceed past.

"Wasn't that a little unfair, Sir?" Ortega asked his General
"Hypersonic craft versus ordinary defences usually is, Captain." General Aerys Fyreskar, fresh from helping to crush the Ghi rebellion was present in the command centre for this test. "By the time we had managed to fire up the afterburners on our jets, it was already overhead. This time should be different, however."
The General scanned around the room, every radar system was on its highest setting, so even trains and trucks were registering on the systems.
"Get our Patriots heated up, and put a pair of Hawks in the air."
The British Aerospace Hawk TR-1 was 20 years old, but was the standard light attack fighter for Starblaydia, pending further purchasing.
"Send the readiness confirmation signal to Pablicosta Control. Come and get us, boys."

Coed Message to Starblaydi Test HQ.
Incoming test vehicle, prepare for impact. Launching.
The projectile erupted down the casing and ajusted course slightly to go directly over the base, and then the first two scramjets fell into the ocean, as they would not be used on this mission, not attack speed.
ETA 2 minutes.

"Whoa!" The Leiutenant jolted back in his chair as the over-tuned radar screen went crazy.
"Vector the Hawks in on it now." Fyreskar ordered. "Try and target them, all units, all weapons."
Every second they expended now would bring the scramjet craft several miles closer to their position
<Gotham City, this is Batman.> The pilot used code-names, even for this training mission
"Batman, go."
<We are at 600 Airpseed, Angels 30, Joker is approaching. Sidewinders aren't getting a firm lock. Over>
"Dammit." The General cursed, "Patriots?"
"Targeting's iffy, Sir."
"Fire it."
Two seperate sites initiated their firing procedure. Noting actually happened, but the computer systems were working overtime to simulate tracking all three objects, the missiles moving at Mach 5, with the Scramjet considerably faster.
"Papa One..." the Lieutenant was tracking the position, "Negative. Papa Two... Detonation!"
A small cheer went up from the men, but the General kept his eyes on the display.
"Wait... Joker is still airborne. Negative on impact."
"It outran the damn explosion."
<Gotham City, this is Batman. Joker has left the building."
"Get the techs to fine tune those missile guidances. If we don't get him next time we've had it."

An Email Message pops up on the screens of all computers in the base.
You are Dead
This message brought to you by Pabli-Corp Hypersonic Testing facility
[b]Thats Two Nill To us boys, lets make it 3-inform the defenders that they should be wearing High Class Ear Protecti0on, this is gonna be deafening if we time it right. Ready them for the second launch, and don't drop the scramjets this time, I want 4 of them running at full power when we go past, and ready the weapons now-we have to blow the simulated shit out of these guys for sucess 100%.[/i]

"That cheeky sonnuva..." General Fyreskar couldn't help but smile at the message. He'd just lost the second round, but was determined not to be whitewashed. "Re-routed the tracking software?"
"Yes Sir, this thing's twitchier than a merekat. We should have them all the way, as long as they're not pushing Mach 15 overhead."
"Link up Batman and Robin with the Patriot system and get them Angels Ten, then give PCHTF the green light. And roll out the welcome mat, too."

Sir, the projectile did not fire straight, although we feel we can optimise the scramjets early and return to course.
No Sullivan, we need the jets to reach full attack speed over the base.
Yes Sir, but if we don't we could end up miles of course. It would only take a tiny injection of fuel to get close to course untill the Computers kick in and target.
Sullicvan official orders to correct course-to within 10 degrees.
Yes sir. Engaging.
Starblaydia
07-04-2004, 18:25
"Here it comes again, Sir, She's a little off course to go straight over"
"Don't be overly concerned," The General replied, "Gotham City to all Crimeifighters, Smoke 'em."
Using the slightly more sophisticated tracking systems, the Scramjet was well covered by the radar and their operators, now attuned to the tell-tale signs of the Hypersonic craft on their screens.
<Gotham, Batman. We have him. Firing Sidewinders. Batman, Fox One.>
<Robin, Fox Two.>
The virutal missiles streaked through cyberspace, soon joined by their Patriot counterparts. All trying to home in on the Scramjet's profile. The Lieutenant spoke up.
"Fox One... overshot, got there too early. Fox Two... damn, too late!"
"Pats?"
"Two in the air. Bird one has missed again. Bird Two, technical failure, no detonation."
The General swore for the fourth time that day. "I've never had a Pat fail on me in flight, not once. Damn simulations."
"It was a few miles off, Sir. Not enough to badly affect their peformace, but enough to screw our defences."
"We'll have them next time. Cheeky gits."

"All Crimefighters, Fire at will!"
Six missiles were in the air. The radar lock was perfect. In just fifteen seconds the virtual wreckage of a Hypersonic Jet was littered across the field, spreading out for about three miles.
It was Batman who scored the hit. His first missile had matched the XAS all the way. No Hawk pilot had ever hit something moving that fast, virtually or otherwise.
Downloaded satellite pictures showed the 'Welcome Mat' that had been laid out, prepared especially by children in schools from all over Starblaydia.
In sixty-foot high letters were the words:
Suck on that
Starblaydia
07-04-2004, 19:09
OOC: I hate double posts, but you can still, as the children said
Suck on that
Also, I wouldn't do the dip thing over an air defence centre in any real combat situation. But you already knew that... :D

I would, its gonna have the same effect as modern warfare buzzing, just alot, lot more powerfull.
Oh, and I'd be shooting like hell at them whilst dipping.
Overview of Dipping.
Basically, the jet is carried by the momentum given to it by the magnets untill air resistance grows, and it begins to slow. This means it can't keep the same altitude, so it naturally dips gradually over about 100 miles, and at the dip it fires up 2-4 scramjets and rises immediatley to attack speed.
Fun for all the family.
Starblaydia
08-04-2004, 10:12
OOC: Aah, thanks for confirming what i thought a dip was for. By the way, I'm probably underestimating Patriot and other missile capability slightly, what with me being a very young and quite small country.
Pablicosta
08-04-2004, 10:26
I think your doing really well actually, better than most peoples first couple of RP's...
Anyhow, let the dip commence!
Starblaydia
08-04-2004, 10:33
OOC: Aww thanks. I may be a n00b to this forum but not to RP, wargames or creative writing.
Anyhow, I thought you just did the dip, right? The fourth Test flight? Or was test 3 in two seperate parts? *shrugs*

08-04-2004, 11:15
Yeh I did, sorry I didnt see my lunch post...
Well let the asault begin!
The projectile was armed to the hilt this time, and flew in at mid altititude. The simulated chain gun was ready with thousands of rounds. ENGAGE!
The command came through and the jet dipped from transport altitude and began firing computer signals at the base.
Your goin' down this time! said general Coddot form the bunker.
Starblaydia
08-04-2004, 11:29
<Gotham City, this is Batman. Engaging aggressor.>
The Patriot missile control systems were working overtime. launching simulated missile after simulated missile into the air to try and halt the incoming craft.
With a defensive net arrayed against an attack run like that, there was no real chance for the XAS as it tried a chain-gun strafing run across the base. The computer systems told a tale of surrounding vehicles and buildings turned into pepper-pots by the high veolcity rounds of the XAS, rendering them and some communication equipment useless.
"As a suicide run that was pretty good, Pabli-Corp," General Fyreskar said, "And you'll get a shiny silver Starblaydi Credit if you manage to blow me up on your final run. It's 3-2 for the XAS," he grinned, "reckon you can snatch a draw from the jaws of victory?"
Pablicosta
08-04-2004, 11:41
have you seen our shiny silver missiles? Your gonna get pounded with them! I'l make a special code for it to kill you, your gettin cheeky!
The engage signal was passed and the jet dahsed towards the base at High altitude, and high speed.
Catch that, its running at the fastest speed we have seen it go! Fire Fire Fire!!!
Computer Signals began erupting from the pannels across the jet as simulation missiles appeared on its radar. Two decoy Patriot Signals un-clipped from the XAS, and the three folowing patriots followed.
ha ha, gotcha ass Screamed Coddot.
The jet had eben succesfull in its run of actually striking the base now it had to work on destruction, which meant the SAM site which remained to the EAST.
Two Missile signals were sent, targetting themselves perfectly as they hurtled away. The jet double ducked and spun, getting close to the Controll Bunker.
get Him, get him Coddot was jumping up and down as a combo of Dumb Bombs and Smart Tech Missiles took off for the Bunker.
As the general celebrated the kill the jet had to make an emergency twist to avoid a patriot.
Bloody Batman, kill him. Coddot was excited for once, as the jet rose above normal flight path, where he couldnt be reahed before diving directly for batman, enaging missiles at him...

"Ouch." said General Jaeherys Fyreskar, effectively concluding the 'Active' phase of the Wargames.
The simulated devastation was total. Batman had bought the farm and Robin had needed to eject, joining a simulated Martin-Baker Fan Club. Gotham City, on the other hand, would have been completely offline.
Bunkers busted, Patriots down and the base efffectively obliterated. General Cabbot's ranting down the line hadn't helped the situation either. Fyreskar put his hand in his heavily-decorated jacket pocket and pulled out a shiny silver coin. Balancing it on his thumb, he flicked it into the air for his Lieutenant to catch.
"Mail that to General Coddot at Pablicosta Command, and mention that Jonah Franklin couldn't stop his ride without a brick wall."
Better to be cheeky and virtually bombed than cheeky and actually bombed

4-2, good games teams-now for my suprise
The allready airborn jet lit up its scramjets and circled the area launching a virtual assault on the area where the Suck on this signs lay, but back above the base a fleet of 100 Bluebird jets (A fighter version of the red-arrows) came into formation, it read.
YOU Suck On This Private!
Before each jet dropped a box with a parachute above, clearing the sky. The boxes exploded mid air, but one fell all the way, inside was a small scale model of what The Starblaydia base did look like like, and what it looked like now. Perfect, and Destroyed. heh.
Starblaydia
08-04-2004, 12:32
General Fyreskar looked up from the roof of the command centre at the planes forming letters in the sky, his hands on his hips.
""Hmm," he said to himself, "private is a little wonky."
Captain Niasalaan arrived with a large model. "Sir, they dropped this."
"That's pretty neat," The General said, "Put the nice one in my office, please Jalen, and then bin the rubbish one."
