Bravo 1, adjust flight path 4 degrees South
In the air, Bravo 1 flight group ackowledged the command from controll and turned slightly. Bravo 1 group was made up of seven P-Corp Load Bearer cargo Planes, in two rows holding a huge tube below them, with one Load Bearer directing the load from the front center position.

Over the ocean, at high altitiude the command to begin the operation Prelim Test X was given, and the door on the roof of the Tube was opened, as was the door directly above it on the base of the PCar LoadBearer. From it was lowered a pilotless jet, armed with dummie ammunitions into the tube. It reversed back up the tube to the rear, driving along the curved base.

The huige magnetic tube began humming and the jet was lifted into the center of the area. The rest of the magnets remained in preperation mode, ready to fire the jet down the tube.

The first magnets began flicking on and off, and the jet picked up speed as it shot down the tube. Daylight!

operation Prelim Test X controll, initial success. Leaving speed 13.7 miles per second. Will monitor mission success from here.

"What the hell was that?" The young Lieutenant studied his scope further. "Did you see that?" he said as he turned to his colleague.

"Not a clue. Wind it back."

A small pocket of activity began in the Airborne Reconassaince Unit, watching the skies for anything usual. The small Protectorate of Starblaydia occasionaly turned its gaze to the clouds, and this event was far more suspicious than any of the passenger jets they had seen before.

"Okay, we got a large flight of heavy aircraft. Then..."

The graphical readout showed the briefest glimpse of another object. It wasn't a missile. It wan't a plane. Just what the hell was it?

"Go and get the Major in here, now!"

The second Lieutenant walked briskly out of the room to fetch his superior. This was the beginnings of a mystery indeed.

"That's one helluva fast craft."

After two straight days of the aviation boffins pouring over the data, Major Jalen Niasalaan was finally presented with a report into the Ghost in Starblaydian Airspace.

"A Hypersonic plane, test firing its bombs? Are you kidding me?" Jalen was bemused

"Its seems that this craft was travelling above ten miles a second. " The bald scientist replied, "Launched somehow from a flight of planes. Long-range radar indicates P-Corp Cargo Haulers."

"Propulsion?"

"We're guessing it has to be SCRAMJET, but we're not sure."

The Scientist went on to explain how a misguided passenger jet had reported an explosion at approximately thirty-thousand feet. No damage done, seemingly. The NBC detection team had found no traces of any harmful agents.

"Do we know who did this?"

"We managed to trace back the Flight Data for the Haulers. It seems they came originally from Pablicosta."

"Jesus H. Christ!"

The General slammed his fist down on the varnished wooden table.

"How did we not manage to stop this from happening, dammit?" he fumed, his bald plate turning redder by the second.

"When a plane is going twelve-hundred miles a minute, there's very little anything or anyone can do, Sir." Niasalaan said curtly.

"I need some recommendations to give to the Lord Protector in twenty minutes," the General calmed slightly, "Any ideas?"

Dear Sir,

We in the Protectorate of Starblaydia are aware of your recent test-flight of your impressive new craft. We also congratulate you on this technological innovation which we, of course, could not hope to emulate.

We do, however, possess the capability to detect your craft, and are confident in our defence system's capability to counter it, should it become a threat to our national security. Be advised we will not hesitate to act should the craft be spotted in our airspace for a second time.

Yours sincerely,

I assure, if you see it again it will be droping bombs on you-and if you don;t stop throwing threats like that arround it may be sooner than you think.

I amya lso point out that you are a very small nation, and any Ground to Air technology you may posess would stand little or no chance to defend your realm. Enclosed is some simple figures.

Attatchement (THIS IS NOT A LINK)

An object flying at over 15 miles per second comes into sight of your SAM base.
Within one second it is range.
If you are VERY fast, and know it is coming you fire now. If not you take another 3-5 seconds to do so and it is out of range. Unless your missile can match the speed of the jet, which is unlikely, you have missed, and the missile will fall short probably killing your own people. In the event you develop a hypersonic missile that can beat the object in speed you may stand a chance, but the smart systems on board will release two trcer signals to draw any automated missile of course, and if this fails the jet can switch to Retreat Speed, which incoorporates 8 of the 10 Scramjets onboard=bloody fast. Catch that.

Dear Sir,

Depite your obviously pre-calculated figures involving our Air Defence capability, the fact remains that You have voilated our Airspace without prior consent. Having been informed of the situation beforehand I can assure you that Starblaydia would have been honoured to willingly stage your craft's first test flight.

I can only reiterate my concern at your disregard for International Airspace laws

The Fact is, when the P-CAR Load Bearer units left Pheonix Air Base,. you did not exist-and thisly for this operation you are not recognised as owning any Airspace.

Dear Sir,

Now that your Air Force offically recognises our existence, I hope you will refrain from any further unsolicited test flights in our Airspace.

I can also inform you that we would welcome the chance to help test your craft further in a wargame environment, using our defence network as the opposing force.

I now consider this incident closed.
