XNN nexs article, 12/31/3500:
The EPA, which has been on the table for a decade in the Xanthalian government, was signed into law today by two of the nation's three triumvirs. The dissenter, Aramichi Inase, claimed that the act was "A blantant violation of our [Xanthal's] core values and a threat to the stability of the economy." The Minister of Economics, originally a supporter of the bill, has also expressed her concerns in recent weeks. "The Economic Privitization Act may have implications never originally considered. I am concerned that, unless this government picks either full privatization or full governmentalization of the economy, the results will be negative. There can be no middle road, and with private organizations taking money that would otherwise go to the government, the repercussions for the majority could be extreme."
It seems that the Socialist Republic will soon find out if these concerns are valid, as effective at midnight tonight all nonessential Xanthalian businesses will be shifted to predetermined private ownership.
