Draft Proposal: 'U.N. Referendum'

Today, April 2, 2004, in order to further the inherent rights of every Nation pertaining to the United Nations; when such Nations find Their actions to be unwarranted; and to guarantee that such rights be empowered to them, the Independent States of Bytek do hereby propose the immediate ratification of a ‘United Nations Referendum’. This resolution will see to it that our ‘inherent right’ of challenging any Authoritarian decree; to continue to improve the Rights of Nations of the world; and to return the Power back to the Peoples of the world:

Primary Articles

Article I. A resolution is unfair or unjust when it attempts to take away the power invested by the People of the Nations of the world; it attempts to interfere with the Peoples beliefs and Government ideologies of the Nations of the world; or it attempts to overstep the boundaries that were originally granted to it by the Nations of the world.

Article II. When one or more Nations find a resolution to be unfair or unjust to their or any Nation belonging to the United Nations, it is their ‘inherent right’ to challenge the Authoritarian decree.

Secondary Articles

Article I. In order to successfully challenge an Authoritarian decree, many Nations must, through ‘popular support’, apply a petition showing an overwhelming 2/3 majority of the entire members of the United Nations. This petition must be numbered and show all the names of supporting Nations; the supporting Nations must declare their support by writing a brief message of approval of such action being taken; and each Nation must have a secondary endorsement from one or more Nations from within their region approving of such action being taken.

Article II. Once such a majority has been shown, the United Nations and all it’s members; through the passing of this resolution, will immediately remove the Authoritarian decree that has been successfully challenged.

It is the everlasting hope of the Independent States of Bytek that we, the Nations of the world, continue a path of benevolence and maintain our mission to improve the quality and freedoms of the world.
