The Opening of The Eye

02-04-2004, 11:47
From the Journals of Horus Hereticus

The Gods have united, I have witnessed it myself, and still fester in complete and utter disbelief. Ten thousand years of constant war have come to an end this day, The Eye has become profoundly, disturbingly silent.
I did see it myself, and cannot bring myself to believe it. Tzeentch of Change, Khorne of Blood, Nurgle of Decay, and Slaanesh of Pleasure, the four Gods of Chaos and Discord, have reconciled, and have indeed agreed to cooperate in all things once again. What more is there to write? Woe to the world of mortals, for the Lords of Chaos are once again united in one cause...
I have been charged with keeping this document, recording this history, the history of the dawn of a new era. For indeed, what hope is there left for the world of mortals when Chaos is for perhaps the first time truly united? This document shall surely one day be used as a holy book, the Word Bearers will preach from it, and convert the innocent to discord through its passages. I must admit that I find this prospect quite exciting.
Peace and silence reign now, but not for long. Tomorrow preperations will surely begin, the legions will be organized and restructered, the ships refitted, the furnaces will glow bright once again. There is much to be done, much to be done, and the gods are truly impatient.
Today the gods of Chaos have come to a settlement of their ancient dispute. Tomorrow, The Eye shall open...

((OOC: Assuming that said cessation of internecine wars between the Chaos Gods is noticeable.))

Farseer Iyanna

I’m not sure if you’re aware of it yet, I suspect you probably are, but my own sources tell me that there has been some activity on the Common Enemy front lately. I suspect that this may take up some of our combined resources, and I was wondering your general reaction to the concept of a short-term alliance, though cessation of hostilities would perhaps be a better description, to deal with this little inconvenience.

I think that in this matter we are both even singing from the same hymn sheet on how to deal with the Enemy, given that the situation isn’t as desperate as it was last time, and thus the ‘Great Warding’ scheme is considerable overkill. As such, I would be more than willing to discuss possible ways of dealing with this impending annoyance at a neutral site, somewhere in Menelmacar perhaps?

Obviously when that’s done we can leave and get back to plotting to tear each other’s throats out as usual.

Yours truly,
Mephet’ran.

Iyanna's thoughts.

This was a most disturbing devolpment and the Kionash would not allow it to move ahead without some, interferance, and now a memmo from the Yngir, a message and she had to agree... Matters such as this where so grave a Deal with the Yngir was something... that had to happen.

Reply.

Agreed, Menelmacar it is then, I trust you shall speak to the lady Sirithil and arrange matters. Of course we can dispense with the usual worries over security so, I think a meeting can be arranged within say the week.

Iyaana.

Zane grinned in his dreams, the Lord Elder God, supreme manifestation and Reign of Chaos, was sending a friend.
