Taiwan lifts long-running ban on military exports
(Taipei Times)

The Taiwanese government has voted in a new law allowing the overseas export of military arms to begin, overturning a three decade ban since the days of the KMT government.

Many analysts in Taiwan believe agressive lobbying by companies such as CK-ROC systems to be a major factor in the passing of the act. Tough economic times were also a factor in the decision.

Hours after the law was passed, CK-ROC systems announced the ramping up of production at it's Taipei aerospatial facilities.

OOC: I'll be developing a few export fighters of my own to rival Raysia and PEA.

OOC: Oh, good... of course, essentially, you're still trying to gather allies against me, am I right?

Every contract you enter will have, "Must agree to support us against Roania" at the bottom.

Well... I'm watching this thread...

OOC: No, just trying to grab a slice of the aviation market, with Raysia and Pure Evil going strong.

Oh, nice. Just as Friyusistan and me try to corner the market with the best airplane there is, somebody else is going to try to sell substandard junk.

OOC: Look at it this way... a nation which actually uses its military could enter the market. Then you'd all be screwed.

IC:

We must state the reservations of Her Highness's government as to the contracts. We are concerned over the hostile sounds we have heard coming from the government of Taiwan, and hope that any deals made will be open.
