OOC: I though it would be a good idea to try this. Their are many World Cups going on right now, but no football championships. While I don't expect very much participation from the International Community (RL), hopefully some of my countryman (USA, RL) will see this and sign up.

IC: I believe we should organize a world championship for football. We should first organize this as I am not aware of any other attempts to do this. Things which need to be done are as followed:
Decide number of teams and who gets to join.
Decide who gets to host this tournament.
Decide rules and tournament layout (Round Robin, etc.)
Decide on entrance fees.
Their are many other things to decide on also, such as eligibility and what not. Your input would be appreciated.

The Goddess of this nation may very well be as authentically European as Madonna, but in order not to confuse most people, please call it American Football or GridIron or some of the sort. Thanks.

If it was soccer it would say soccer. Since it says football it is football. Or, perhaps I shoud call it Futbol de Nortemericano. Would that be better? Sorry, I am an american, much as europeans are stubborn about calling soccer football, we are stubborn about calling football football.
