At 2 o'clock in the afternoon today, the 75th Infantry Division of the Federation's Army marched through the streets of Sorrentino, ending with a ceremonial parade in the City Square. Accompanied with music by the Sorrentino Military Band, the 12,000 strong Division filled the streets as part of their annual march, held in Sorrentino every year. Lead by Lieutenant Colonel T. Glover, the Division's six companies were lead in 3 ranks through separate streets, lead by their respective Lieutenants, all gathering eventually into the heart of the city where a 60 minute parade was held for onlookers. The historical event, held every year by the Division, has long been a significant date on any Sorrentinian calender and is consistent in gathering crowds of up to 50,000 in the enormous City Square. The Division's large assortment of ground and air vehicles could also been seen scattering the streets and skies as the entire Division assembled in the city. Major P. Riley, Second-in-Command of the Division, claimed that even growing up as a child in Sorrentino, this event was one of the most exciting and prolific in Sorrentino.
With Alpha Company and Delta Company leading each of the 2 Units in the Division, it moved from the outer edges of the city, with each company entering from a different point, into the centre where the parade was held. After the ceremony, which lasted for an hour, an enormous party was held where food and drink were plentiful. The city's Mayor, Ian Donaldson, was present as were many of the city's high profile celebrities, such as Mark Sloan, Gordon McField, and Jordan Slade, the respective leader's of the city's 3 electorates.
