Why bother joining the U.N.?

Not one resolution has ever been defeated. Is it because there's a small group of regional delegates that hold extremely disproportionate power, or do people who are in the U.N. all vote extremely similar. But, if you disagree with even a fraction of what is voted on, why bother joining at all, since the resolution will be forced down your throat anyways?

You haven't been around long enough. One called "Ban Popup Ads" was defeated back in December or January.

I have recently resigned the U.N. but I would stay in it just to show how things can get done to people like you.

Plenty of resolutions have been defeated, they just don't appear in the list. Only passed resolutions are there.

Regional delegates with a big power have it only because the nations that endorse them decided they should have it. By being in the U.N. you either must like what is the general thought of the member nations, or fight for changing that "common" way of thinking. The second option is almost imposible for now because nations that disagree just resign (like me).

Just stay out if you don't like it. What's the problem with that? :?

Believe me, the players that enter the RPing forums know if they want to be in it or not, they aren't "fooled" by the U.N.
