Formal Announcement, The Meeting and Back Story
The People of The New Order of Eizen and the People of The Holy Wheel Empire of Sagesquagmire would like to formally announce the engagement of Emperor Eizen II and The Holy Empress Evendim. After a very short courtship the two have become inseparable, and have decided to be as one. The date has no yet been set, but the story of their union is as follows:
The Emperor and Holy Empress first met during a planned visit by his Majesty to Sagesquagmire. After the brief but brutal conflict with Stellar Circle his soul had been taxed to be brink.
The Holy Empress had been advertising her nation as a place of beauty and serenity, leaders of nations could come there to spend time for reflection and contemplation in a place of tranquility and serenity.
Eizen II, wracked with hatred and anger had been advised by his doctors that his hate would consume him if he remained on the throne. Seeing this as a chance to save himself, while also making contact with a newly allied nation, Eizen accepted the offer of Sagesquagmire.
Eizen was stunned by the vibrancy of the nation. Unlike the Empire, where cities sprawled and the skylines were dominated by skyscrapers and monuments, this was a land of nature. Transfixed with this place, the Emperor made it his personal mission to learn more of this place.
Meanwhile the Holy Empress had learned of her guest. At first she was repulsed by the Monarch. He ran his nation with an Iron Fist, and built a strong army that had ended the lives of many. After a time she began to discover more about him, his history, everything that had happened to him. It intrigued her, fascinated her, his world, his pain, his life, everything about this man was something completely unknown. He the makings of a tyrant, but was beloved by his nation and revered for his successes. He commanded a presence, and she couldn't deny that he was captivating.
The two met formally as leaders on a couple separate occasions, and although the business was conducted formally one could tell there was a connection in the room. Eizen, not one to become overwhelmed by much, if anything at all, was completely flooded with emotion when looking at her. Her green eyes, her long blonde hair, and skin that was as pale as porcelain. He found her beautiful, more beautiful than anything he had ever seen. Maybe it was youth, but this girl had seen more in her 20 years than any other female ruler he had ever met, and it made him want to hold her. She was barely older than his son, she would be prefect for him, but Eizen wanted her for himself.
After their third meaning, which had gone well, the Emperor had inquired as to where he could find a hot spring. The Empress informed him that the Palace itself was constructed over a hot spring and that Eizen II would be welcome as her honoured guest.
At the spring the Empress had been slightly delayed by a routine palace matter and had made her way to the springs, Eizen had already arrived and was disrobed, waist deep in the soothing water, undressed save for his Imperial shield mask and what appeared to be a cape. She walked into the massive white and blue marbled room, she held back and studied Eizen further, the steam rose from the water, the cape he was wearing unraveled revealing two large black wings dark as shadows that spread forth and extended. The Evendim gasped and was taken back, she had known that Eizen was part Draconian, but she had never seen one before. Eizen had heard her gasp and turned to her, still wearing his mask.
The Holy Empress regained her composure and the two spoke. Not before long they were both seated in the water, conversing with one another not as monarchs, but as a man and a woman.
Evendim, after being curious for days, wanted to see the man underneath the mask, she removed Eizen's mask and what her eyes saw before her both moved her and scared her. The red tinted visor gave way to piercing blue eyes, and a shocking visage of a man. One half, perfect in its splendor, and the other half scarred and burned beyond recognition save for the eye.
Eizen looked at her, most people who saw his face lost their resolve. The scarring was terrifying, the result of a battle long ago fought. This time was different, and in this woman he saw a part of himself he had lost long ago. Normally the sight of a woman this beautiful would bring desires for lust, the desire to satisfy primal urges. This was different, a deeper and purer feeling of want. Evendim saw a man who could be strong in the face of any adversity, and had survived the brink of madness.
They spent the next few days together in admiration of each other, spending time away from the palace, away from the life of a leader. Those few days were the happiest the two had spent in a long time, and it was made all the more better that they were spending the time together.
Ultimately Eizen gathered the courage to propose to the empress, he vowed that he would always be there for Evendim, to protect her. The Empress, who had never once loved, cried as she accepted Eizen and his love. His ring, specially sent in from Eizen, was made from an Emerald from the Crown jewels themselves; this new ring dubbed "The Heavenly Star of Eizen" had diamonds and platinum to augment its appearance. With the ring firmly on Evendim’s finger, the two were engaged.
Both had found the kind of happiness in each other that they both had never experienced before.
