The Tirah Trade War
It had started out simple, an surpise attack on Tirah by the Kingdom of Zroin formed from the remains of Tirah Colonial Alliance's space colonies who were seeking revenge. They had virtially wiped out an third of the Tirah Ducial space navy in the opening surpise attack and the remaining two thirds were out of the system or forming to defend the homeworld agiast the Zroin Grand Fleet while the Tirah ground forces prepared for planetary invasion. Elsewhere at points outside Zroin and Tirah space Zoir warlord fleets waited for their chances to plunder both countries as they wore each out.
The sitation spiraled further out of control for there was others intrested in the Tirah system as well. The Massive Tordoran Mega Corporation Geran Corp was aiming at seizing control of the valuable mining operations and was sending an assault force to seize the system. At the same time the Tordoran Goverment under Queen Seria was also looking to seize the Tirah system for the Gerexi mining operations as Gerexi was an vital metal in the making of the extremely fast, deadly and manivourable Teritoran style warships used by the Teritorans, Tordorans, Zerni and others. At the Zerni, the traditionial enemies of the Tordorans had gotten wind of Queen Seria's plans and Emperor Mishami ordered his Imperal Navy to put an stop to the Tordoran plans as it would hurt Zerni Business as many of the Zerni Mega Corporations had stakes in the Tirah economy. All this would soon added up to turn what was an minor intersolar war between two third almost fourth rate galaxic powers into an major war.
Grand Marshal Yuri Hoshimi, Commander in chief of the Tordoran Royal Navy, smiled as her Armada hurled though space. The Queen had authorized her to take 5 full fleets to carry out the conquest of the Tirah system. As it stood her combined fleet could crush the Tirah Ducial navy and the Zroin grand fleet combined. If she didn't get assassinated that is by one her officers trying to advance themselves like she did to her predicesser there would be great fame and glory for her. There was no way she could fail this mission and succeding would bring her the favor of the queen. However frist she had take Tirah frist and attacking Tirah was an pain, it was extremely rural and her marines would likely be forced fight over an wide front. Ground fighting on Tirah was an ligistial nightmare but that would have to wait until she crushed the enemy fleets. She began to finalize her

Elsewhere on route from the old Tordoran Homeland under control by the Mega Corporation Geran Corp, an another smallar attack fleet was under orders to seize control of the Tirah system for Geran Crop. ETA 6 Hours.
Admiral Huturdo Himusai muttered as his forces hurled though subspace towards the Tirah system. He was wasn't happy that he was going into an unknown sitation. All he knew what he was being sent with the combined forces of 7 Fleets to put an stop to the threat to Zerni trade. The Trouble was besides the already raging war he didn't know how many of the enemy Tordoran forces would be arriving in the system. He would forced to make his battle plans in the heat of battle, he hated doing that. He brooded quietly as he waited.

Lord Admiral Yurima cursed checking the time. "Forget the remaiments of the enemy fleet set an curse for the Tirah homeworld, we need to began the attack on the Tirah homeword before their second fleet returns." As the Order spread the Grand fleet changed direction headed for the Tirah homeword leaving the remains of the Tirah third fleet in orbit around the 6th planet of the Tirah system and headed for the fouth planet where the frist Tirah fleet waited to defend the Tirah Homeword.

Fleet Admiral Mortious Borsia smiled in relief as he finally got in contact with the second fleet. They were returning to the home system as quickly as possable. ETA 2.5 hours, to the home world 3.5 hours.

Tirah Homeworld, the Frist Ducial Fleet
High Admiral Yuran Hirshami noted the read out of the enemy fleet heading for Tirah as well when the second fleet would arrive and it wasn't good, the enemy fleet would arrive long before the second fleet would arrive. he was out gunned and out numbered, even the arrival of the few surviving ships of the third fleet wouldn't be much help as battered as they were. However he would do his duty. He would not allow the invaders to land on Tirah. He would stop them.
Zroin Grand fleet finally approached the blue Green planet that was the Tirah homeworld. Taking in the defensive potition of the enemy fleet, Lord Admiral Yurima ordered the Fleet form into an Herianius formation to drive off the enemy fleet away from the planet so the transports could land the troops planetside. It shouldn't be too hard, while they only slightly outnumbered the Tirah Fleet opposing them Lord Admiral Yurima was certain that the enemy could not match his fleets firepower nor were they prepared for the Merani which was not only slightly bigger than an Ashan class battleship but had little more firepower.

As the Frist Duical fleet prepared to fight off the invaders, final preperations began planetside. Grand Duke Ivan looked at the combat displays in the command center located deep underground in the forest far from the capital. It had placed there because the planet's only major spaceport was located in the heart of the capital which was also the only major city on the Planet. Tirah was an rural planet, other than the Capital citym you had mining and industal towns in the various mountain ranges, towns of craftsmen, foresters, loggers, medical researchers and such and small farms with the occinal town or more commonly an village. Tirah didn't have an large standing army, expecally for not to defending an planet, 75,000 army infantry, in 300 250 man companies, in hidden fortresses scattered across the planet and 20,000 cavalry scattered in 400 outpost forts. the main amount of defense forces would come from the militia but they couldn't be counted on outside of their local areas and at best regions. On the plus side the enemy would have to strech their forces across the planet in order to conduct an war and they would have to fight without knowing the teritory and they would be limited in the combat vehicles they could use. faintly an plan came to him and he contacted his Generals scattered across the world to inform them of their orders. life was about to become very difficult for the invaders.

General Horus waited for the orders to decend to the planet below to began the assault. He was not happy even though he planned the opening attack against the planet. They would seize the Capital and spread out from there. What he didn't like was that everything was so spread out on the planet, further more it was unlikely that many of the settlements and most of the enemy bases would be on his maps, they were 150 years old and only covered the orginal settlement area on Tirah. He grimsed, he hated the Tirah as much as any Zroin but he didn't wish to fight an war on unknown teritory against an unknown amount of enemy. He sighed as warning alarms to prepare went off to tell the troops to prepare for hostile planetary landing. This was going to be an unpleasent war.
High Admiral Yuran Hirshami watched as the battle raged and the outnumbered ducial was slowly pushed back by the attacking fleet as they battled in an deadly but wonderious dance as ships of both fleets tried to destory the enemy. He frowned if this keep up they would pushed completely way from the planet and from the readouts his fleet was slowly being destoyed, while they took out some enemy ships, the enemy fleet had more firepower with the higher number of ships expecally with those battle cruisers which by themselves even if there was only three of them woud out gun his cruisers. Worse however was that sensers were picking up the transports were fixing to prepare for the planetary assault, they could alrightly be seen heading down to the planet.
As the Zroin Grand fleet battled the Tirah frist Ducial fleet and slowly drove it off, The Zrion Transports headed for the Planets surface, more pointly the massive Space port at the Capital. On the bridge of the Merani multiable Alarms went off as multable groups of ships were detected approaching the System and Lord Admiral Yurima let lose an stream of curses that could stripe paint off. Great more company, this is going to be an mess.
High Admiral Yuran Hirshami Cursed as long ranged scanners, picked up singals of multiaple ships entering the system and only one of them was the second fleet. Other ships were unknown which didn't bode well.
Grand Marshal Yuri Hoshimi smiled as the 290 warships and 60 transport ships carrying 200,000 heavly armored and armed troops of the combined fleet entered the Tirah and set an course for the Tirah homeworld, where the battle was raging. Her fleet was large enough that it could take on easly both battling fleets. Her mission was on to an good start and she could see the rewards at the end of the tunnel.
Admiral Huturdo Himusai meanwhile was smirking aboard his flagship as his 1,026 ship Armada came out of subspace. He openly smiled as the Numbers of Tordoran ships were detected. It seemed Emperor Mishami's gamble of sending more than half the Royal navy was going to pay off. There was no way the Tordorans where going to take over the system, he would see to that.
Meanwhile the Geran Corp 348 warship Fleet arrives and begans to talk to the Royal Tordoran forces. After short discussion they agree to gang on the Larger Zerni fleet impoving the odds somewhat as the Zerni fleet would have less of an advangee expecally being attacked on two fronts.
The Zerni Fleet shifted as ships moved to counter the two pronged attack of the Tordoran Fleets and soon the battle was joined. Admiral Huturdo Himusai frowned, it was clever of the enemy to sent two large fleets but they were still out numbered. This was messy being forced to fight two fleets while also there was an local fleet incoming and another battle raging above the forth planet of the system. He hated messes and this was geting really messy. He wouldn't be surpise if this mean open war between Zerni and Tordor again as result of attacking their invasion fleet.
As the Zroini transports entered the astrosphere four score of TSNF-1s rose from the ground to attack the landing ships and gunner crews moved to their posts around the capital city to open fire on the enemy transports when they came into range.
Elsewhere the second fleet reentered the system and set and course for the homeworld to aid the beleagured frist Fleet which had been driven back with heavy losses by the larger Zroin fleet expecally by the Zrion Fleet's heavy battleship and 10 Battle Cruisers along with sheer numbers of enemy ships. Wreckage of Tirah star ships and Star fighters floated in space as the battle raged.
On the bridge of the orbital station High Admiral Yuran Hirshami, noted the arrival the second fleet and of the erupting battle between to unknown fleets. This bothered him, he had enough problems and now there was more unknown factors to worry about. As if saving what was left of his fleets to fight the current wasn't problem enough, he now had to worry about new possable enemies. He frowned and gave yet more orders to the first fleet. Moments later the fleet began to conduct what looked to be an retreat but was infact falling back to join up with the Second Fleet.
As the TSNF-1s swarmed the Zroin Transports the gunnery squads manned the antifighter battaries and opened fire on the attacking Fighters as the transports made their way towards the planets surface.

Grand Marshal Yuri Hoshimi cursed, this battle was not going well, even with her forces and the forces of Geran corp, the Zerni were still holding both of them back and it was turning into battle of attrision and the Zerni had more ships and they were way more organizated then her combined fleet was, likely like the Teritorans the Zerni had trained for combined fleet combat... either that or she up against one of the Zerni's best commanders. She had read the reports of the last Tordoran-Zerni war, the Zerni had wiped out most the Tordoran navy without losing an single vessel and took out tranports carrying over 250,000 troops and equipment. Facing such loses the Tordoran government and the Prime Minster of the time was forced to come to terms with the Zerni. She was going to have to withdraw at this rate or risk slowly using her fleet... However this would be over, if she survived returning from this failure, there would be an reckoning for this. She gave the order for the fleet to withdraw to Tordoran space.
The Commander of the Geran corp fleet cursed as he saw the Government fleet withdraw, it mean if he didn't withdraw he would forced to face the vast Zerni Armada before him alone. He would be great trouble with the chairman if he failed but he would be in much worse straits if he got the corporate fleet wiped out. he soon followed suit in ordering an withdraw.
Meanwhile the second fleet joined up with the frist fleet and launched and counter attack against the Zrion Grand fleet. The TSNF-1s swarmed the Transports but they were steady being destoryed by the guns, there simply wasn't enough of the outdated astospheric fighters, 2 score and 5 of the TSNF-1s where already destroyed and the rest were falling fast, as the transports neared the spaceport, the ground defenses, 10 massive 21 In guns in twin turrets manned by volunter crews opened fire on the incoming transports.
The Huge Transports barely shuttered as the Tirah defense battered them and soon began to land. In space above the planet the battle soon came an battle of who ever could last the longest, The Grand fleet could no longer push around the Tirah space forces and Lord Admiral Yurima knew that if these kept up both he and the opposing Admirals would have to order withdraw or risk losing most of their fleets in the battle. If the intellence reports were correct the Tirah Ducial navy could not afford such an thing to happen, the problem was neither could he, it would take much longer and more expensive to rebuild the Zrion Grand fleet during war than it would for the Tirah with their resources to rebuild their fleets. He gave an order, as soon as the Tirah fleet began to withdraw, the Zrion fleet would do the same.
As the Zroin Transports landed the Tirah cannon crews grabbed rifles and scattered into the abandoned city. They have volunteered to delay the enemy as long as possible and they tended to do just that. In orbit above the Tirah Ducal forces began to withdraw for repairs to the third planet and the orbital station there.
General Hurmasi cursed as he took stock of the situation from a building that the Zroin forces took over as ground headquarters. The invasion was not getting to a good start. The Tirah instead of standing fighting had scattered accept for a few snipers and such they left in their capital city and to make it worse it seems they took the time to turn the capital into a death trap. If his soldiers were not getting sniped at, they were running booby traps everywhere and often even when the engineers disarmed one trap that were found they set off another trap set for anyone trying to disarm the traps. The number of dead had reached an score and seven and there was already nearly hundred severely wounded and they had only been on the ground for 4 hours and other than the snipers had run into no enemy forces.
He had 200,000 troops, 1000 tanks that from the looks of the planet were not going to much use and 200 mechs with only 6 months of supplies. He didn’t think it was a likely the Grand Fleet was going to be much use in resupplying his forces. By all reports they had failed to destroy the Tirah Ducal Space Navy and both forces had forced to withdraw. The Tirah however could refit any ships they lost much quicker than the Zroin forces could. This meant he had to defeat the Tirah’s ground forces and that meant going to territory that only the enemy had mapped which was likely what the Tirah defense forces wanted. You never fought the enemy on their terms; he knew that from his days at the alliance colonial academy but it seemed that was exactly what he was going to have to do. The Tirah had made sure they didn’t leave anyone that could be used as hostages to force them to come out and fight on the enemy’s terms.
Grand Duke Ivan looked smiled slightly as he looked at the three dimensional holographic display unit, it was better than the last war he was in at least. The enemy was must worse off than he was. They had more trained forces and firepower but they were just about cut off from their supply lines with the failure to destroy the Grand Ducal Navy and they had to search out unknown Territory to find his forces and engage them. That meant he had the advantage in numbers because the enemy would have to divide their forces and spread out which meant he could call up the local militias to support his units in the area and greatly increase the local units numbers.
