Congratulations, you are totally, irrefutably, 100% wrong! Leave the helping of newbs to the ones who know what they're talking about, ok? Anyway, British Alliance, you would be wise to check out the thread Yolande-Roselle recommended, along with most of the other stickied threads at the top of this forum. You'll be on your feet in no time.

Want anyone to take you seriously? First, take capslock off. Then talk.

I already said that, in a much more polite manner. This is something that annoys me. Veterans of most online games think that, just because someone's a newbie, they have a right to be rude. Not so.

Sorry, I've just had no patience for n00bs lately. I try to be helpful, but it always leaks in. I'll change that post.

Just go to the link that Yolande-Roselle put down, and all will be answered in time.

I once tried to read it all at once, but I fell asleep before I was anywhere near finished.

Then don't try to read it all in one sitting.

To go about finding something, just make a post saying just that; you need to buy stuff. You'll get offers, and then you can make a deal. Or, you can go to someone's store and buy stuff there. Most nations with stores also maintain a store for smaller nations like yours. To upgrade stuff, funnel more of your nation's money into R&D, and after a little while, you can say that you've made some advances in tanks or guns or body armor or airplanes or rockets, whatever you want. Keep in mind you'll have less to spend on other things, though. If you buy something, that money is gone from your budget until taxes (generally the money comes back to you in a day of real life time). Don't go around buying tons and tons of stuff, otherwise people will start saying there's no way you could afford that. I would say that when a nation first starts out, they have a few dozen WWII/Cold War era tanks, some Cold War era fighters (MiG 15s, F-100s, etc.) around 100,000 men (like you were told) with AK-47s and -74s, or maybe some M16s, depending whether you're going for Eastern or Western technology. At the most for your navy, I'd say maybe a sub or two, several frigates, and a couple cruisers.
