Shipyard construction to begin in Tainan
(Taipei Times)

Today, the regional resource consent for the construction of a large shipyard in Tainan was granted, to the sound of cheering crowds. The new shipyard will employ 20,000 and produce dozens of ships a year.

The construction of the Tainan shipyard marks Taiwan's foray into the international maritime export market. CK-ROC, Taiwan's largest defence company, has purchased a 25% stake in the Tainan shipyards for $8.9m.

The shipyard is scheduled to be completed in 18 months.

OOC: I'm planning to start a naval storefront soon.

The Armed Republic of Sino strongly objects to this foolish behaviour. Any attempts of armed struggle to achieve separatism is unacceptable and pathetic in the eyes of the Chinese.
