Broadcast from West Virginian Capitol of Charleston

The State of West Virginia declared its independance from the Menelmacari state months ago, yet results have not been seen. We have not seen the promised visit from the Menelmacari ambassador or the removal of their forces. We request mediation and the removal of Menelmacari forces and government officials from our nation.

Free West Virginia: Stand-by for message from the Lord Admiral of the Republic of Kylara. Message as follows:

"Free West Virginia we are aware of your plight. I have two Battalions(1,000 men/women each) that I can send to aid you at this time."

"I would offer to send more, but, at this time the First and Second Cadre Regiment's have been deployed elsewhere to aid other nations in trouble. I can also send you 20 Transports(sub-orbital) with medical supplies, food, and troops on-board."

"If you accept, I ask that if the Republic of Kylara should need assistance in the future, that you help us in turn."

"Godspeed."

"Free West Virginia, it has been decided by my people that Beta Aurigae VII will send troops and money to your cause. The following aid will be sent 5,000 special forces and 100 billion USD of aid. If anything else is needed please feel free to contact me, a reserve portion of Beta Aurgae's army is at your disposal if things turn nastier."

Due to the recent war with Melkor Unchained Menelmacar was forced to put all other foreign affairs initiatives on hold. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience.

The FWV representatives are free to meet with me in either Vinyatírion or Washington DC at their convenience, as the Lady wishes nothing more than to resolve this matter peacefully.

In the meantime, all other nations are warned to stay out of Menelmacari affairs. Any attempt to send military aid will be interpreted as a declaration of war against the Eternal Noldorin Empire of Menelmacar.

James Wyatt stood in the terminal at Chuck Yeager airport just outside of Charleston awaiting the charter jet that would take him and his staff to Washington for the relations with the Menelmacari representatives. He adjusted his tie slightly as he watched the aircraft taxi up, he then picked up his briefcase and walked up the boarding ramp and into the passenger area for the jet. A stewardess assisted him in getting his case into the overhead and gave him the usual "Would you like anything to drink or to snack on" greeting then moved on to the other members of his staff. He buckled his safety belt and set his seat into the full and upright position for take-off.

A few hours later the same aircraft set down in Dulles International Airport (ooc: I assume the name hasn't changed?) and taxiied up to the terminal so that its passengers could disembark. The diplomatic team exited the plane and began scanning for the person with which they were to make contact.

The People's Republic of Kay Son would like to open economic/diplomatic/cultural relations with your country. Would you be up to exchanging ambassadors?
