PIRUS, BitingReality- BitingReality today made a huge step in its drive for Empire, establishing a small colony on the northern coast of Vicendum, a continent recently discovered by BitingRealitan neighbour RomeW. The BitingRealitans have named the city Ducalia, after the BitingRealitan Emperor, and have the colony heavily stocked to allow for its sustinence and growth.
"We are very happy with our findings," said Emperor Ducalion I. "We said to ourselves that we would become a world power- this is an important first step. Finding new territories and lands to exploit is essential if we are to build up the resources necessary for our goal."
Ducalion reports that the territory was found after BitingReality sent some ships to follow Rome's lead in discovering the continent. The Romans were the first to discover Vicendum and have already established a colony there, and, reports Ducalion, "it was only a matter of time before everyone else in MuchBoards knew where it was". Ducalion admits to only a "parcel" knowledge of the new continent, but suspects it is vast and ready for plunder. His colony, according to reports, is not that close to Rome's colony but could cause problems in the future.
He notes there were some minor skirmishes between the native people of the continent and the BitingRealitans in BitingReality's attempt to found the colony, but said that the battles were "easy". Regardless, it is the first report of indigenous people on Vicendum, and, as Ducalion says, "they will be put to good use".
Right now, though, Ducalion says he wishes to avoid major conflicts and just wants to focus on building Ducalia into a force- however, he says, "when the time comes we will unleash our power."
