While I feel the need to push you in the direction of joining, I would rather have solely nations that wholeheartedly wish to join ICEP.
Think it over, consider the benefits. Other alliances and Groups that would harm a powerful Capitalist nation will think twice before touching us.
Just food for thought, imagine CACE falling before us, or any other number of anti-capitalist countries.

"E....ah! Here we go! Empire!"
"Empire: A political unit having an extensive territory or comprising a number of territories or nations and ruled by a single supreme authority.
The territory included in such a unit.
An extensive enterprise under a unified authority: a publishing empire.
Imperial or imperialistic sovereignty, domination, or control"

((At this moment it would be impossible for Knootoss to join, being a liberal democracy and not an empire. However this could fit very well in the Storyline that I'm working on (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=133200&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0). The Batavian Empire will surely join. Uhm... as soon as there is a Batavian Empire))

*In neat handwriting, scrawled upon a golden filigree bordered letter, the sending of which by royal courier and jet*
Dear Edmund,
The nation of Crownguard would most assuredly wish to join such an alliance, beyond the personal alliance we are so diligently working upon. However, we feel the definition of "Powerhouse" a bit too constrained. While many nations may be committed wholeheartedly to this idea, all nations suffer recessions, absurd acts of government, mistakes, and the like. perhaps we feel a bit more tact is in order, and that we create a set of "full" membership status for nations who meet this qualification, while also allowing for the creation of a group of nations with similar aims and interests who would feel as we upon such things as economic security, honor, dignity, integrity, and common sense. Perhaps "experimental" memberships are an idea to consider? This would allow those who wished to join a chance to show their affirmation for such an alliance.
At any rate, we are of course delighted to offer our commitment to this alliance, should you so desire it.
Honorably Yours in Friendship,
Tercero Xavier Delryn
(A note, Tercero means "Third" in Crownguard. However, the Primus and Segundo are nominal positions, more for show than any other matter. The Tercero serves as Secretary of State, as well as the prime decision maker in Crownguard, overseen by a Council of Lords and Ladies, in an advisory non-voting position.)

the empire of imperial brits would very much so like to join the empire although we do not as yet have 200,000,000 million people we are very close or economy is all consuming and we believe whole heartedly in the idea of empire we are willing to go to war over it please allow us to join
We are always interested in a strong, stable economic alliance, but we're rather curious about one point.
* Must Favor Imperialist Actions
Does this mean member nations must favor Imperialist conquests, typical of so many warmongering empires? It's one thing to rule what you own in the manner you see fit, but it's something else to decide that you want to own everything.
Sincerely,

Similarly, if he would bother to familiarize himself with the nations of the world, he'd discover that the first, most common definition of "empire" applies to Edolia better than the last, least common one."

Greetings Ms Templeman.
As for Imperialist Conquest of old, like so many Roman Soldiers conquering wilderness, and farmers.
No.
The world has changed, there is no longer pointless need of bloodshed, and loss of human life. Today, we can exist in a state of Economic Hegemony.
As for forcefully taking land or hostile Takeovers of International Markets, or Foreign Economies, this again tends too lend itself more problems than it is worth.
Simply, my aim is too create a strong, simple International Market, that is easliy defended against those who would see it destroyed. And should we be pointlessly attacked. And the only type of Government I could see doing as such, would be Corrupt Communism. I have no intention of forcing capitalism on those who deisre it not. But if an Aggressor attacks ICEP for reasons none other than political differences, there will be hell to pay.
That is where the Imperialist factor comes into play.

Edmund raised an eyebrow.
"Dictate a letter to Ms Sophia Kahler, stating that she is absolutely correct, I was simply playing with an International Ambassador, whom felt the need to speak tough against a Capitalist Alliance."
"Also tell her that an International Ambassador's time is best spent tending to affairs important to ones foreign policy, not eavesdropping on conversations between countries that have nothing to do with hers."

OOC: I checked out your RPing. You have potential, but your simply not up too that level just yet. I am actually flexible with Economies, and Population Sizes OOCly, I just want good RPers. Im bnot trying too sound Elitist or a snob, but I enjoy good storylines.
So read the threads, read the stickies at the top of each different forum, ask other players, change your style a bit. Remember RPing is more like writing a book than Warmongering, Also dont speak in first person when addressing another nation In-Character. Who is responding?
