A hush feel over the council in the Kentosani Chambers as the Empress stood from her ceremonial throne below the Light of the Empire, Inchindar. Both the Empress and the Light of the Empire were silent observers of the Parliament until this moment. Serving on behalf of her Nation, and of her people the Empress took to podium to address the council.

“Good Morning Chamber Members. Representatives and most hallowed Inchindar.
I am the Holy Empress Evendim,
Daughter of the Acoma.
Head Priestess of the Holy Temple of Lana.
Protector of the Sage.
Mistress of the Empire.”

She cleared her throat.

“This morning I have come before you and the rest of Our Great Nation to announce to the world that the Holy Magical Wheel Empire of Sagesquagmire, as of this day forward, has resigned from the oppressive membership of the Order of the Seraphim.”

Pausing for a brief moment, the Empress continued without emotion in her strong voice.

“As many of you know this past week the Palace has hosted a conference for the Triumverate of Yut to assess Myself, The Nation and The People as future members of the Alliance. Proceedings went very well, and it appeared that every representative enjoyed themselves whilst staying in the Palace. Many were impressed with our city, and our nation as a whole. We should feel proud that we had the opportunity to accommodate and entertain such people of note.

During the conference, many questions were asked of me, and one concerned the nations previous alliances. Having answered this question honestly, Sagesquagmires’ previous association, albeit redundant and stagnated alliance with The Order of the Seraphim was revealed. As a result some concerns within the ranks of the Triumverate have arisen. I have taken this opportunity to consider the true future of the Nation of Sagesquagmire. After much deliberation and consternation I, along with the support of Inchindar, have made the difficult decision which I believe to be the only right and true conclusion.”

“By doing this, and formally withdrawing our coalition with all members of the Order of Seraphim, we hope to reaffirm the trust of the Triumverate of Yut.

Should our movements be interpreted as a matter of mistrust by withdrawing from one Alliance to be eligible for another, let me reassure all of the Council and the World that we are a notably honest and trust worthy nation. Our inactivity, and hence our lack of loyalty to The Order has just now come to be a real issue for the future International Relations to be entered into by Sagesquagmire. We find it no longer a benefit to remain associated with the Alliance, especially when our presence is ignored.”

“As a nation eager to emerge into the Modern World, the people of Sagesquagmire desire to be involved in an existence with more integrity and morality. If our membership application given to the Triumverate is to be in turn rejected, As the leader of this nation, I will stand by everything that I have stated. I shall remain true to the people of Sagesquagmire, and do anything in my power to protect my nation from immorality, deceit, betrayal, depravity, treachery, and all that encompasses anything that falls below the philosophy of pure integrity.”

Giving a final look around the Council Chamber, the Empress concluded

“Should we experience any trouble with our resignation, I implore you to be prepared for anything. The Empire will NOT be intimidated.”

Empress Evendim stood down from the podium, and returned to her throne and waited for the Council to erupt in argument.

The Order Embassy does not necessarily reflect the overall opinion of all order members, those who use it as a mouthpiece should refrain from creating inner strife lest more nations follow Evendim's example.

Due to Internal Machinations from within the Order of the Seraphim, and to protest internal actions versus the Sovereignty of Sagesquagmire, the Empire of Eizen is also pulling out of the Order of the Seraphim.

The Empire however, will isolate itself for the time being from international affairs and focus on regional politics and defense. Joining a new alliance is not in the best interests of Eizen at this time. Our only international priority at this time will be to assist in the defense of Sagesquagmire should it come other attack.

In a secret underground facility, the gift from the nation of Sagesquagmire was undergoing careful scrutiny. It was only used once when an envoy was sent to a certain gathering – who reported that the actual teleportation experience was somewhat unsettling.

Soldiers milled about, with some expecting arrivals through the gate itself. A remote possibility to be sure, but a heightened state of alert was on due to current events. Technicians were busy initiating final shut down procedures. The large gate hummed as a row of lights began to dim and finally wink out. Soon, the hum grew faint and stopped altogether.

“That’s it,” said one senior technician, “Asset SQ-100 is off.”
“Good,” barked a Colonel, “Clear your people out. Standard guard duty and lockdown is now in effect. Remember your Oath everyone.”

The Dominion wishes to voice its support of the Empire of Sagesquagmire, and the Empire of Eizen in their choice of leaving the Order of the Seraphim, not on account of the Order itself, but for the common ties with those we have had the misfortune to claim as enemy. While we ourselves have not had the pleasure of official interaction with these great Empires, we have heard good reports from those who have, and trust in their reports.

While we regret that recent inquiries into our alliance have caused grievances with the Order as a whole, we nevertheless are in favor of them distancing themselves from the Empire of Sketch. The Dominion lives lost both on the cowardly WorldDisc attack and on the frozen plains of Europa on account, will never be forgotten. It is our hope that the Order will deal honorably with these two nations, in spite of their choice to leave, and will honor their sovereign right to continue to lead their people in what ways they deem best, whichever path their choices lead them.

To Empress Evendim, we admire your dedication to your ideals, and wish you the best during this time of transition. We hope that this step may perhaps lead to greater things between our people in the future.

The Huge black Wheels began to move in opposite directions from each other, getting faster and faster, when all of a sudden a blue lightning bolt shot across the diameter of the onyx rings and radiated out to all 12 points of the circle. From the centre of the lightning burnt a blindingly bright light. From within emerged a shadow, a man.

The Empress grew nervous as she watched the Huge ships enter into her worlds atmosphere. The large forboding machines were not something her people saw very often. She had not yet developed such vessels. There had been no need, The Wheel were often enough to get from here to there without fuel expenditure, or the need for exhorbitant amounts of money.
Evendim Sighed loudly and hoped that the Audit would go smoothly, she was not happy about the forced compliance to the Order's requirements. She would have the palace flooded with soldiers to watch their every move.

The loud voices of her Foreign Affairs Minister Hokano Riki and Defense Minister Rhani Umbaro arguing with her first adviser Keyoke snapped her from her thoughts of doom.

"She's NOT ready yet!"

"Keyoke, We MUST do something!"

"Rhani, we will just wait and see what happens. Hokano, im surprised at you!"

"Keyoke, the Empress and I know these people, they're not likely to take the resignation lightly! They're not exactly the most peaceful of groups!"

The Empress opened her door, and the arguments stopped immediately.

"Gentlemen, I understand your fears, I too fear for the Nations and the Peoples safety. At this stage we must not bring fear to the populace. Find Yosepha Yuki, and start her working on some kind of Propaganda to stave off panic. In the meantime, I will need to find a place for those ships, if they intend to land."

"Mistress I believe its time we began to accomodate foreign vessels and their people."

"Yes, Rhani. But that is not the main priority here at this point. We must clear the palace.
Keyoke get everyone out. All civilians must be sent home, no one but the ministers and advisors are to remain.
Rhani have 10 garrisons dispersed through every room, 2 or 3 men to each.
Hokano keep an eye on the skies, and should we come into trouble, send telegrams immediately to our allies seeking aide.

Evendim turned back to her room and shut the door loudly. Her mood was dark, frightened, she wondered what was about to happen.

"It is all worth it."

"So, Tsume, what's the latest on the OotS's reaction to the withdrawals?"

"Nothing of interest to report yet, Queenie. We'll keep an observational tag on the file."

Emperor Johnston shook his head and turned to his inner circle. "This was the reason that we didn't further persue admission to the Order. It seemed unstable."

"What about Scolopendra's statement he sent to us."

Slaeglen knocked on the side of the open door. "Executor, we're here."

Cullens nodded, looking up briefly, then back to his notes. "Mm," he emitted.

"What's so fascinating you got there?"

He shook his head. "Background notes on Sagesquagmire."

A silence indicated that Slaeglen had not read his notes, at least not on that nation. Cullens picked up on this, and beckoned to his executive officer. "Magic wheels. Have you ever heard of the like?"

Commander Slaeglen shook his head to indicate that he had not.

"In some ways, their transportation efficiency is vastly superior to our own. Think about it, what if we could build Wheels instead of bothering with The Drop?"

"I can imagine," the Commander replied, not very truthfully.

"If we could deploy forward production just long enough to build one, we could mobilize troops on one side of the globe, deploy them to that forward location as fast as they could be moved through a wheel. Amazing."

Slaeglen wasn't sure about that. "I don't suppose getting those wheels is why we're here?"

Cullens chuckled. "Hell if I know. I could guess. We're here to do military excercises. But with Sagesquagmire leaving the Order, I'd guess we're really here to make 'em think twice about that decision."

"They really have these things, eh?" remarked the Commander, pointing at the data screen image.

"They do, and they work. But it's not just like flipping a switch, evidently. They're every bit as simple and easy to understand as the ship you're standing on." That earned a laugh.

"Well, I guess we better head to Command, Commander. I assume Mars isn't alone here?"

"Affirmed, we've got those ten frigates within a few hundred klicks. And, judging by signal traffic at the Alphas, it looks like we'll have more company any time."

"Hmm. Hope we won't need it."

In order to enter the Region they had to enter the Trans Galactic gate, access is strictly controlled. For more to enter they'd have to apss a gauntlet of security craft on both sides and thats assuming they make it in before the gate is shut down.

After sending her ministers off to see to their jobs, the Empress Evendim re-entered her reverie. She began to think about her life just a few short months before this day. Remembering the first time she had met her fiance.
She was so afraid, yet so intrigued by the Emperor Eizen. Now all she could think of was having his arms wrapped around her. She felt so protected when in his presence. Perhaps it was his age, he protected her like a father would protect their child, yet he was so much more than that. She wanted him near.

She immediately sent for a courier.

She walked to her Mini-Wheel Room and tapped out the coordinates to the Emperors personal Wheel. The Wheel lit up with bright blue waves of energy. She stood back and rang the bell three times, and three times again signalling that a message was to be sent through.

"Ma'am"

The courier had arrived. She would have stepped through herself, but she had not yet experienced the world of Eizen, and was not yet ready for it.

"Yes, come here.

Take this note, its for the Emperor, and the Emperor only."

"Yes Ma'am"

The courier stepped through the Wheel Portal and was completely surrounded by the blue waves and disappeared.

She left the portal open, waiting for the return of the courier and Eizen, and walked back to her chamber, took up a glass of Cho-Ja Honey Wine and walked into the Garden to look up at the dark night sky to watch the moons, the stars, and the ships.

The Emperor overlooked the balcony that wrapped around the uppermost spire of the Imperial Citadel. His nation now removed from the internal politics of the Seraphim which ultimately did not coincide with his best interests. He had hoped his departure would be more amicable, nevertheless he bore no grudges.

He allowed his wings to unfurl in the breeze, tempted to soar above the city of Supreme Horizon and fly much like his ancestors did eons ago. He retracted the wings, the responsibilities of a Monarch came first. The military was on a highly active alert and there wasn't time for idle pleasures.

The messener, a young lieutenant by the name of Skoula entered the throneroom with a digital pad in hand. He barely gasped out his words, "My Lord, I deeply apologize for the interruptions but we've recieved a message..." Eizen turned, staring at the young officer through the Shield Mask. "Tell them I will reply in fifteen minutes, I have matter to attend to." Skoula was vibily shaking now, "Sir, This isn't a standard transmission. *gulp* This one came from Sagesquagmire, directly from the Empress via courier..."

The Emperor strode forward and grabbed the digital pad away from sKoula, with a gloved hand tightly gripping hte pad he read the contents of the message.

"Contact Director Oates at once and prepare a division of Eizen Kaiser on Stand By. I will be departing for Sagesquagmire at once via the wheel. I want Royal Guardsmen on Stand BY as well awaiting an Alpha Signal from me at once."

Skoula exited the room promptly, Eizen's future Empress and soon to be headmistress of the Royal Family was in need. The situation had become tense. It would require his attention, immediately.

Jon and Jade walked through the vast network of halls knows as the ‘Core’, the subject of their conversation was the troubling situation regarding the withdraw of other Order members.

“How’s the audit coming along” asked Jon.

Jade could hear the concern in his voice “It pretty tense” the last thing that they needed was for the situation to exploded and spiral out of control. “Everyone on both sides of the argument are sitting on pins and needles.”

Jon stopped dead in his tracks and turned to face Jade “So what do you think that we should do.”

His word came as a bit of a shock to her, she had never really considered getting involved. Taking a moment she prepared her response “Nothing, I would suggest that we let this play out, other members of the Order have the situation well in hand, the last thing that we want to do is to add to an all ready tense situation.”

Jon nodded then started waling again “Very well but keep an eye this and let me know if any thing happens”

News of Sagesquires defection has been noted with considerable dismay. It is disheartening and alarming to observe an erstwhile ally and comrade engage in such overt and unprincipled Real-Politik.

It should of course be noted that Sagesquire status has been changed from Favoured to Possible Host, and Mallbertan security initiatives have been updated to reflect this change. We no longer recognize the absolute sovereignity of this treacherous state.

That being said, no immediate actions are planned. This may change as opportunities arise.

In response to this vile disrespect of Sagesquagmire's rights, The nation of Mallberta is officially embargoed by the Empire of Eizen and their access in Edge of Space has been downgraded from Restricted to an outright Ban.

Eizen arrived through the Wheel in Sagesquagmire in full armour, fully armed on his own. HE turned to the nearest palace attendant he could find.

YOur intelligence audit team has permission to bring your Frigates and the One Mars Cruiser through the Gate. However they will not be welcome in Eizen space. Bring what you need. Keep in mind those ten ships coming through at once will have to clearly broadcast their IFF. and will be subject to constant "escort" to Sagesquagmire Space from the Gate and then back.

We would like to avoid a military conflict, however we are prepared. Seeing as how you don't know where Edge of Space is without the Gate you'll have a hard time getting there even if your FTL was up to it. The mere fact that we allow you to do your audit is a diplomatic courtesy from our former allied stance. Do your best not to wear it out

Director Oates was beside himself with laughter. "So the Seraphim sent their Fleet to EARTH looking for Sagesquagmire?"

General Sykora laughed beside himself, "It would appear that way sir, what little news we've recieved from intelligence and media reports indicates they hovered above about a half dozen or so young nations of ten million or so looking for the Capital city."

Oates laughed harder, "Did they land? Pleaser tell me, this is the first time i've laughed in months!"

"We haven't confirmed anything yet sir, my guess is that they didn't."

"We'll that's too bad, still, we'll allow their ten frigates and one Mars-class ship to cross through the gate. However no longer will they be welcome in Eizen Space."

"That order has already been given sir. It will take some time for them though to reach Earth from the Gate's Position just outside of the Sol System."

"good, His Majesty has oprdered a full division of Eizen Kaiser Special FOrces and ROyal GUard to be prepared to move through the wheel to protect Sagesquagmire. Agents HAvoc, Chaos, and Mayhem are prepared also to enter first at his Majesty's command. One last thing before we have any tensions."

"Yes sir?"

"Broadcast this gaffe to all Nationstates. The Seraphim went looking for one of their former nations, and got lost at Earth."

"Yes sir!"

Jimmy ran around the corner hurrying to answer the Empresses call. He was running so quickly he didnt see, and couldnt stop in time to avoid running straight into the large man walking out of the mini-Wheel room.

"Im sorry sir" Jimmy hurrily tried to apologise. He had not realised who the man was, or where he had come from, until he spoke.

"Where is the Empress?"

Jimmy had not, like most Tsurane people, met nor seen the man that was to marry their Empress, but Jimmy recognised him immediately. The boy was struck with awe at the sight of Emperor Eizen, he could hardly muster the courage to speak.

"The, Empress.... She's uuhhh this way. Follow me Sir! Lord!"

Tripping over his own feet to stand up to show the Emperor to the Empress' chambers.

Jimmy stood up and opened the great wooden door and stepped through, he saw the Empress sitting out on the terrace. He motioned for the Emperor to enter the room and join the empress.

"Jimmy!" Evendim turned around to ask where he had been when she saw him.
She jumped to her feet and ran into the arms of her future husband. Holding him for a few moments, she turned to Jimmy without letting go of Eizen for a second.
"Jimmy, replenish the wine, bring something to eat, and perhaps be sure the hot springs are empty for my personal use later on. Thankyou"

Jimmy nodded quickly, shot a look at the man holding his Empress and left the room.

Eve sighed. "Ive missed you so. Ive been so nervous with this whole Order thing!"

She let go of Eizen and walked to the small table beside the terrace door. She picked up her glass again and looked up at the sky. She could see the purple light from the moon Rei, and the blue from Tyme, and yellow from Ura. She could see sparkling stars. It was beautiful, all except the huge ships that were hovering just within the atmosphere.

"They make me think the world is about to end, and the Audit hasnt yet begun!"

Again she sighed, feeling overwhelmed by the situation.

Eizen pulled back slightly and undid the armoured chestplate. He embraced Evendim again and pulled her close.

"We have to be strong my love, I fear things may get ugly, but I will always protect you. Even if it means my life. You know this right?"

Evendim nodded, and hugged Eizen tighter. Eizen removed his mask, and set it down. "You know, when this crisis is over, I'll come for a nice long visit, perhaps you might want to do the same. Im sure you would adore the Empire."

OOC: It was an OOC mistake, not an IC one. Obviously, the CSF has a lot more intelligence resources and data than me, the CSF's player, does. There is no way the CSF, which was partially built on Sagesquagmire funding and manpower, would not have known where Sagesquagmire's nation was-- and if they didn't, they wouldn't have hovered over nations like that. Please do not make it an IC thing, they were just going to Earth for refuelling.

If you insist on broadcasting that gaffe (which I remind you is a gaffe of me the player, not the CSF), however, you're welcome to it... IC actions have IC consequences. Just remember that that particular door swings both ways.

The lack of knowledge as far as Sagesquagmire's exact location is one of ooc deficiency. I think that it can be pretty well assumed that since we were all allies at one point that we would icly know at least the "galactic coordinates" of everyone's homeplanet. Prior to this RP, it was never clarified where exactly Sagesquagmire had wished her little universe to be located.

Lady Jagara sat at her desk, tapping her emmaculate nails on its hard, polished surface. Musing of the the recent events, she frowned. Such happenings were quite disturbing. A once trusted ally, Sagesquagmire, had suddenly been discovered consorting with the enemy. No, enemy was too strong a word.....merely, ideological foes..... It was most troubling. Who would have thought that such a uninspiring peoples could pique the interests of the Trium elite? Obviously, there was more to it than a sudden change of heart. Even more troublesome is the simulutaneous abandonment by Eizen, a troublesome associate at best, but useful when properly reigned in. It was inevitable that once Evendim had declared her nation's withdrawl, that The fickle emporer would leave as well. Without her moderate influences to control him, it was probably for the best. Despite that, it was still worrisome. The Order, still in its fledgling stages, cannot afford to allow such a mockery go unpunished. Treachery is treachery, no matter what the reasons. To besmirch the Order's honor is to besmirch Sketch's honor, and to allow that would be unbecoming of a potential Das Sketch.

Such data was part of the preliminary information package provided to all memebrs of the Order. The mere fact that a few Order ships require the use of your jumpgate is nothing to be haughty about. Count yourself lucky that Sketch is not taking a personal hand in this matter, for it is Order business.

Your laughable attempts at propaganda show that you have no intention of maintaining cordial relations with the Order. If an entity such as yourself cannot even be honest about future relations, it is questionable what integrity you would have concerning items of a more.....delicate nature. I don't know what this "preliminary package" you speak of is, are you magically ascertaining information that was never given? I gave you coordinates to the Gate but not within the REgion save for getting to Sagesquagmire, recall one incident where I turned over Navigational data for my own system. You can't because I never did, for you to say so is a lie.

Due to RL issues EIzen can no longer participate in this RP. The Seraphim and Sagesquagmire will have to sort things out between the two of them. As it stands The Gate will stay open, so that will not be an issue, however Eizen will not be involved in this RP in any way shape or form except to be with Evendim.

Likewise I would hope that all involved parties recognize this and respect it. Thank you

As soon as the message from Eizen was sent, the SOE made sure to use any and all possible means to interfere and override the broadcast. That is, for the most part, most would only recieve the transmission in a garbled state. Only the most astute and advanced nations might be able to sift through the contents of the message and manage to piece it together. However, suffice to say, some of the first few seconds did get through and certainly the jamming is not 100%.

OOC: I'm just throwing in an extra twist here, Eizen. Up to you if you want it to work at all. I also know that you are leaving this particular RP so...well...anyhow. Perhaps I do this for my own fun? :)

I also think it would be reasonable to assume that the SOE would have access to if not their very own equipment that monitors all the broadcasts, especially during these times.
