End to a Feud
Robert Sanders felt a slight rumble as they landed, while they were Taxiing the runway he looked out the window at the passing scenery. It was mostly urbanized, as they were coming in all he could see was a giant city, one that went on for miles, from what he could tell it was a mega city. However from what he heard most cities in Tappee were.
As the plane came to a stop he couldn’t help but sigh.
Just over a week ago he had been elected Prime Minster of Iaceo, after Former Prime Minster Kao had been arrest for violating the Tappee Iaceo Peace Treaty. Kao had attempted to claim himself Emperor just like Latitio before him. Sanders had worked for both, in their personal war against Tappee. But all that changed a few months ago when he had turned to Tappee for help to bring down Kao, to his surprise they had been more then willing to assist. Now he was in Tappee to help mend the broken fences between the two countries. He would be the first Iaceo leader ever to step foot in Tappee.
Getting up from his seat he made his way to the ramp only to find that there someone already waiting for him. He recognized the individual as Jon Anerton Tappee’s President, the two had never met. Unsure of what to do he made his way down the ramp and extend his hand as a sign of good faith.
“Nice to meet you Mr. Anerton” he said with a bit of a smile on his face.

Jon reached out and took the mans hand “Welcome to Tappee Prime Minster, if you’ll follow me I have a limo waiting to take you to your hotel.” Jon glanced around to make sure that security was doing its job. For security reason he had ordered the to press was not allowed to be here at the landing. However, there would be a press conference later.
“Mr Sanders I almost forgot congratulation on our victory at the polls, it nice to see a fresh face in the Iaceo government.” Jon was well aware of Sanders past, more specifically his relation the Jade Allenson, Tappee Intelligence director, and close personal friend of Jon’s.
Sanders had once been part of a group that had tired to take Jades life, one more then one occasion, and had almost succeeded once. But at Jade’s request had chosen to ignore this fact.

“I’m surprised that Mrs Allenson isn’t here.” When he had turned to Tappee for Help in taking down Kao it was her that had answered, much to his surprise. In fact if Tappee had not help then Kao would be nothing more then another ruthless dictator.
He stopped and waited for the door to the limo to open, ducking down he took his seat Jon tool the seat across from him. “ I heard about the your loss at Gest, and would like to extend my deepest sympathies for the loss of your troops.”

Now that they were in the limo Jon attitude changed “Cut it, I don’t want to hear it” Jon said coldly. “We both know that you could careless less about our forces. In fact if it were up to me, we would not even be having this conversation. There has not been any single indication that you are no different then any of your predecessors, and fact that I’m not entirely comfortable with.”
It was times like this that Jon really hated his job, the one thing that he hated more then anything was playing nice, with people he knew were not all that nice. Sanders for the longest time had been the sworn enemy of Tappee, and now he wanted to be their best friend. Jon had a hard time buying this whole redemption thing.

“Then I’m glad that it is not up to you” answered smugly “Whether you like it or not I’m here, and in the interest of both our countries it’s time to settle this once and for all.” He sat back in his chair and made himself a bit more comfortable. “You are in the middle of a war, and after everything that my country has been through we are not in good shape. If I had wanted any hostility between our two countries I would not have turned against Kao. The truth of the matter is I could no longer sit by and let Kao get away with what he was doing.” There was anger in his voice I had wanted to act sooner but feared for my life. Finally there came a point where I not longer fear death, in fact came to see it as an escape, so I took a chance and acted.”
Like any good soldier early on Robert was just following his orders, but one day he could no longer stand by and allow Kao to burn the country that Sanders loved so much to the ground, deep down he knew that he should have acted sooner, and was now paying the price.

Jon reached over and grabbed a wooden box that was sitting beside, and tossed it over to Sanders. “Mrs Allenson asked me to give this to you”
Jon had known Jade since their time at the academy long ago, but as the box would prove to be a mystery even to him. He had asked her what was in the box, but never got an answer. In fact it perplexed him greatly.

With some hesitation he opened the box not sure what he would find inside. Looking in the box he felt the air leave his lungs. Sitting inside the box was a gun. It wasn’t the fact that there was a gun in the box that startled him, it was the story behind the gun.
His mind flashed back to the time when he had first meet Jade Allenson. It was shortly after the Tappee Iaceo war. Latitio had fallen and Tappee’s military had crushed Iaceo’s forces. Sanders had been one of the like ones to survive the war, like most he had found work in other places. Specifically with a mercenary named General Heskel.
After the war Jade had come to Heskel in an attempt to buy his loyalty. Heskel was the type where only money mattered. When Jade had come to see Heskel Sander was working security, like most people that came to visit Heskel it was Sanders job to make sure that they didn’t bring in any weapon. Before the search Jade had place her gun on the table, Sander found her rather attractive and during the search got a bit to friendly. Jade didn’t take kindly to the attention and broke his arm. After the meeting Jade had left the gun on the table saying that it was only there to make Sanders feel safe.
Years later General Heskel had been hired by Kao to Kill Jade, there were a number of failed attempts, until they finally succeeded, or so they thought. Heskel had given the gun to the team that was responsible for killing Jade. Sanders found out later that the team that had killed Jade was a Tappee Intelligence team, and the Jade had actually fake her own death in order to get Heskel off her back. Now years later the gun still represented a false security. Jade wanted him to know that if at any time that he went against his word of peace that she would simply eliminate him, a fact that he found uncomfortable to say the least.

Jon watched with a bit of satisfaction as the colour in Sanders face disappeared. “Is something a wrong Mr Sanders, you don’t look well.” Out of the corner of his eye Jon noticed that they had arrived at the Hotel. “Well Mr Sander this is were we part for today. I trust that everything will be to your liking. I’ll send a limo to come pick you up in the morning.
