Skager

Today the Dominion of Skager officially abolished all organised religion within Skager. The Church of Skager is officially shut down, as are all mosques and other places of worship.

This is not a restricition on rights of any kind. The citizens of Skager may practise any religion they chose, but not publicly. No religious paraphanialia or symbols are to be shown in public.

Save, perhaps, the free expression of religion? Would it be illegal now in your nation to sell Christmas trees or menorahs? How about atheism; given the rather militant proselytization practiced by most of its modern proponents, would this be classified as a religion unto itself? Is public yoga now banned, due to its inherent spiritualism? What about selling Bibles or korans or torahs? What are the punishments for first-time and repeat offenders?

The people are allowed to express their religion and worship whichever gods they chose, but not in public. By definition, atheism are not a religion, therefore is not restricted. And yes, Christmas and all other religious holidays are banned in public displays. But due to popular demand, Christmas has been replaced by Yearly Gift-Giving Time.
