Nicknamed “Blue Lightning” while at Melmond City for his blazing speed and his blue dyed hair. A savoir faire on the pitch. The question is that will he be “Green Lightning” as a Fearless Farmer?

Known for making passes so clever, creative, and utterly unexpected that the goalkeeper is too busy picking up his jaw from the pitch to stop the strike. Will be prone to elementary mistakes however.

The air force of this Melmond side. Known for his acrobatic headers and bicycles kicks on crosses and corners. He should team up with Torrini’s corners rather well.

Brazillico Unveils World Cup 13 Roster

Brazillico announced their roster for the coming World Cup today and very few surprises can be found, with only three new additions from the side which just missed qualifying by the faintest of margins last campaign.

Brazillico shall remain solid between the pipes, with David Robinho guarding the fort. Should Robinho slip up, manager Dr. Horatio Cosmo will not hesitate to put in Lisa Cannon, making Brazillico’s goaltending tandem one of the more formidable of the competition.

Brazillico’s defense is usually a strong suit for this team and this year should be no exception. Brazillico added some muscle to the back line, with Johnny Ramon and Paul Hilario being added to the team. The 6’7” Hilario will also get the nod to start and will try to help clog up the middle with Durango.

The Chili Bats’ midfield has to be one of the most pleasant surprises in years, with the middle absolutely stacked with young talent. No player in the middle is under 30 and stars like Nelson Bilbao and Filipo Cannon will have to make their way off the bench to get some playing time. Filipo Cannon will likely see his fair share of the pitch, but since he is coming off a serious ankle injury and with reliable workhorses Todd Pink and Tom Maracanam on the team, Dr. Cosmo will not rush Cannon back into the action.

The biggest question marks surrounding this team again will be on attack. The core of attackers has seen no chances since the last World Cup, and this means that yet again, they shall be gravely undersized. No one can really blame Cosmo for this decision, as the nation is devoid of big, quality strikers. However, what these players lack in size, they make up for in skill. With the Cannon twins starting, look for them to weave their fair share of magic between defenders and past opposing keepers.

The Coaching Staff

Georgio Freeman, Head Coach
Georgio is a 43 year old expert in football. He has spent 30 years of his life playing and managin professionally, starting in low leagues-now managing a succesfull National Team. Currently AWOL.

Frank Curry Davies, Goalkeeping Coach
An experienced GoalKeeper, Davies once played for Pablicosta, keeping 32 clean sheets, in 50 games. Nicknamed Curry for his amazing ability to eat a litre of Vindaloo in 30 seconds.

Davey Croquet, Defence Coach
Davey is a new coach to the National side, but in the last few eeks has shouted and punished the defence into a tackling machine. The Ex-Army mans has a history fo a short temper, hence the hand cufs carried by his friend Officer Granger.

Terry V man Vennables, Striking Coach
This star of the game has provided ample suport and technique training for the boys at Pheonix United youth team, but now he is helping the National side hit the target with his varying teaching techniques.

Harry Redknap, Technique Coach
Originally kidnapped, Mr Redknap is now an esteemed Pablicosta coach, teaching the lads how to leave their markers behind and pass it on. He mainly uses his kind hearted ways to encourage the player they can do it.

Tindo Janson, Moral Assistant
Part of a well rounded Coaching staff is someone to keep the team happy. Arranging night out, and team building excersise, Tindo has managed to get the guys through their toughest times, including the time they all got arested for drug smuggling.

Seth Granger, Head Physio
Seth and his team provide all the help the players, and coaching staff need to unwind, or prepare for a big game. They use techniquies from India, Africa and South America, and also include modern Physiotherapy styles.

Jodie Ralph, Karma Advisor
Jodie insisted we hire her, as she beleives that through managing Karma and moods, players performance can be greatly improved.

Tracy Jock, Massues
The main massage expert for the team is Tracy. She can ease away all the aches of pains of playing and training, through gentle rubbing and massage.

John Krezack, Dietician
Mr Krezack, or Sir as the players are instructed to call him, is the driving force behind what the players eat, delivering a balanced diet to their door, every day.

The Team

Fred Lingo, Goalkeeper
Lingo is an experienced International, but at 30 he is starting to slow down and look a little sluggish. He is in no way however a liability, as he has managed to guide Pheonix through many games before from his goal line.

Ian Hassle, Goalkeeper
This up and coming Keeper has had 5 caps for the side, and at only 19 thats a lot. Showing off acrobatic saves when itmatters, and displaying excellent penalty saving skills. Hassle is bound to be the next first team keeper for the side.

Nikkel Forsel, Goalkeeper
Nikkel is currently a reserve keeper for the National side, and he looks promising. The 25 year old has 11 caps, and plays for league leaders Santa-Croatia as a first team keeper.

Garry Flittercry, Right Back
A superb defender, Flittercry devotes his life to practice. On the pitch he is part of the tackling machine whih is the Pheonix defence, but he also exerts a lot of pace from his 5'9" high body.

John Craighead, Full Back
Craighead is an agressive player, but if he can manage to controll his anger is a great player for tackling and long, accurate clearances. An asset to the team.

Dion Darling, Full Back
This young pacy Defender is famed in Pablicosta for being the 18 year old bullet, sprinting and knocking opposition ot the ground. his lack of experience is amde up for by tremendous ball skills, which occasionally draw him into the goal area to try a shot.

Brent Bobyck, Full Back
A veteran of the game, Bobyck is used to hard challenges and a strong defencive unit. he provides a key peice in the defencive line, but does nto allways get his game, due to the younger players pace.

Joey C Francis, Left Winger
Capable of long pacey runs, and accurate cross feild passing Joey is a true star in the National Defence. He is a popular guy with the fans, and has drawn a lot of female support to the game.

Yardley Thomas, Center Midfielder
The brick of the midfield as he is called amongst the fans, Thomas is an enforer of every kind. Holding of players, and halting the play, this 27 eyar ld is not afraid to stick the boot in. Responcible for ending the career of Davey Wens with a harsh challenge, Yardley is a tough cookie.

Gonzalez Umbago Germmi Juninhio, Forward Runner
This superb play maker is a hero of the national game. When he displays his skills on the pitch he can leave the defence in shock as they watch him spin and twist away from them.

Respon Duvell, Right Winger
An experienced player, Duvell is a superb play-maker, managing to feed thousands of balls into the box in his 12 year career. Now reaching 31, Duvell shows no sign of halting the direct long balls straight to the heads of Attackers.

Timothy Hendrix, Striker
Timothy is a superb long goal striker, and takes any number of shots from 30 or 40 yards. He can curl the ball drasticly, and therefore is responcible for free kicks and corners for the team.

Jacob Jones Junior, Striker
A pacy srtiker, Jones often mingles within the box, and is an expert at exploiting off-side traps to gain distance on the defence. He is not skilled form distance, but his tall, well built body enables him to leap and head the ball well.

Goalkeeper:
1-Oog - Prehistoric F.C. (GZ)
One of our most dependable players in the squad. Has incredible reach, has the ability to cover any inch of the goal in one dive. Rarely lets in any goals. Suffers from the occasional lapse of concentration.

Defenders:
2-Aargh - Prehistoric F.C. (GZ)
A solid right back who tackles with no fear. Has a danger of getting fouled.

3-Humm - Prehistoric F.C. (GZ)
A very solid centre back who will not let anybody past him without a good challenge. Another player who has a danger of getting fouled.

4-Quk - Rentruk Rovers (GZ)
A good clearer of the ball who makes runs up the field occasionally. His tackles are not as hard as Humm's or Aargh's, but he has the ability to clear the ball very quickly to the forwards.

5-Thunk - Earl United (GZ)
A solid left back with a fierce tackle. Plays the passing game well with Krak and Gung.

Midfielders:
7-Kerrnigit - Marauding F.C. (GZ)
A quality right winger who can cross with accuracy, dribble with tight control over the ball, and shoot with a deadly curl. Our default free kick taker.

6-Poom - Marauding F.C. (GZ)
A centre midfielder with a good eye for passes. His ball control, although not as good as Kerrnigit, can still thread him past defenders. He also has an accurate shot, but it occasionally lacks power.

8-Krak - Earl United (GZ)
A centre midfielder with a good pass. Has great interplay with Gung and Thunk.

9-Gung - Earl United (GZ)
A left midfielder who makes the occasional run forward. Exhibits great passing with Krak and Thunk. His shots occasionally lack power.

Forwards:
10-Urk - Marauding F.C. (GZ) - Captain
Without doubt our best striker in the team. Has brilliant ball control and a devastating shot. However, his best weapon is his versatility. Can beat the keeper from way out, produce a breathtaking curler around the keeper, or simply dribble into the box and lob the ball over the keeper. Occasionally plagued with injury problems.

11-Yew Sei Biu - Kung Pao F.C. (GZ) - Forward
The first Giant Zucchini international from the region of Kung Pao, native to the Wong Kua race of oriental zucchinis. An excellent finisher despite lacking speed and fitness, this striker usually operates as the fox in the box.

12-Zonk - Yuba United (BED) - Forward
A striker who has yet to prove himself. Has passion for the sport, but slightly lacking in ability. Has decent ball control, but his shots lack accuracy and power.

13-Narf - Bill United (GZ) - Midfielder
A stable midfielder. Has good passing abilities. However, slightly lacking in fitness.

14-Throck - Prehistoric F.C. (GZ) - Defender
A stable defender. Usually subbed on when a more defensive style of play is called for. Has a good tackle and a good clearance.

15-Ppakkaddumm - Wurtherington Wanderers (GZ) - Midfielder/Forward
An attack minded midfielder who can also play upfront. Has a decent shot. However, slightly lacking in ball control.

16-Phoot - Prehistoric F.C. (GZ)
A striker with good ball control and no fear of defenders. Has the ability to dribble the length of the field without losing the ball. Can also finish headers well. However, his shots occasionally lack accuracy and power.

A striker with a wicked shot. Despite its speed and power, his shots are very inaccurate, and he usually ends his season with only about 10% of his shots on target. Has good ball control and passing, but lacks stamina and pace.

20-Plaat - Marauding F.C. (GZ) - Goalkeeper
Widely seen as the successor to Oog. Is very alert and anticipates rather well. However, he is rather small and his reach is limited. Prone to committing the occassional slip-up.

21-Xcavabar - Atlantis F.C. (EB) - Forward
Plying his trade in Europa Brittania, this forward is strong testament to the strength of Giant Zucchini. An all out charging type striker, has brilliant speed as well as a great position and finishing sense. However, may be slightly lacking in experience and fitness. His long range shots also lack power.

22-Zurk - Wonkerman Wanderers (GZ) - Defender
Lately deported back from TnUI, this defender combines defensive grit with attacking flair. A young talent who shows great promise.

23-Woog - Wonkerman Wanderers (GZ) - Midfielder
A young talent which caught the eye of Mr Hurr in his first season in the Premiership. Blistering pace and stamina, but lacks experience and composure, and skews most of his shots wide, or straight to the keeper.

The Eagle's nest returns to international competition in World Cup XIII after they turned heads and raised eyebrows at their meteoric rise through the standings to now be ranked 41st in the world after their amazing run into the group play of 32, and missing teh round of 16 by a single point.

Most of the team from last go around is back with the exception of one midfield who broke his leg on a domestic match. Star U21 midfielder Greg Sedora has been moved up to the national side to fill that slot.

Star strikers Josh Adams and Mario Gratuzia are back off of great seasons, Adams with the Nesmian Lions, and Gartuzia who has been playing with Giant Zucchini's Angelo United.

Towers is a speedy, on the ball defender with a tremendous work ethic.

Choi, with the right balance of speed and strength, excells at tackles. He is beginning to slow down though, due to his age.

Experienced and honed defeder, known for his long time leadership ability and hardiness. He might not be the biggest defender, but he is most certainly known as one of the fiercest.

Kwan is a specialist in long range shooting, and leads the Aerigian Red Wolves in that category.
He is responsible for Aerigian free-kicks and corners because of his superior capabilities.

Rogers is the midfield enforcer, the experience and die-hard attitude has won him great respect from the fans over the years. He may not be flashy, but he gets the job done.

10 - YIM, Allen (Co-Captain) (FW - River Springs Blue Eagles)
Age: 22 Weight: 5'9'' Weight: 163lbs.

Yim is right at home inside the box, and he is feared when there is a corner or free kick near the goal. Although he is a bit short by striker standards, he has a 40 inch vertical leap and great timing, using to his advantage in heading balls into the goal. With his foot, he is a great finisher around the goal. He is continually working on his shot, and has gotten better in that aspect to effectively add it to his arsenal.

11- ZIELINSKI, Radoslaw (FW - Elden Grove Stingers)

Zielinski seems to have perfect timing, both on and off the field. He signed with the Stingers
and the team made its first ever playoff appearence in five years. On the field, he looks is a great playmaker, and follows up on rebounds and other missed opportunities with great speed and accuracy.

After a mediocre season from WC XII, the Valerian Boyars have returned four years later to participate in WC XIII. Many of the team are on the verge of retirement, but there is no doubt in their minds that this will be a hopeful Cup. Alexei Putin and Talos Kantakouzenos especially want to see if they as a duo can bring upon victories for Valeria.

The Minister allowed as how he vaguely remembered something along those lines. Someone we know only as "Margaret" allowed as how everything the Minister knows or does is known or done vaguely. While the two continued to debate this point, Beverly secured this space, and put down the few bits of information she has about the squad.

Bev promises that as soon as Margaret and Minister stop "discussing", she'll remind them to get the roster together and make it public.

Replaced Lord Mackintosh as head manager of the Stars, he certainly has done an admirable job in his stead. He brought back an emphasis back to defensive soccer, and since he has taken over, the Stars have let in 1 goal.

Offensive Manager - Terry Fleury
Brother of former Clan icon Gavin Fleury, his career was cut short by a dehibilitatingleg injury. An offensive genius, he has designed the plays that have caused the physical offense of the Stars to succeed for as long as they have.

Kellen Asten - Forward, Starter, TLC Stars
Kellen Asten is a sophomore in the World Cup program. Counted on by Lord Mackintosh to provide a combination of finesse and strength that a rarely seen in a player in the Allied States soccer program

Chee Blackwing - Forward, Starters, TLC Stars
Blackwing is probably the lone player from the Canadian Confederation on this team. Silent and brooding, his football skills are as clear to anyone once he steps on the pitch.

Matt Devon - Halfback, Substitute, TLC Stars
Another newcomer to the World Cup, he has had promising flashes throughout the qualifying. Selected for his ability to see passing lanes excellently, he has the most assists of any World Cup freshman.

Greg Devore - Keeper, Starter, TLC Stars
One of the oldest members of the Stars squad, he has the experience that no one can replace. Many predict he will be the next goaltending manager and possibly serve as head manager one day.

Xavier Ford - Halfback, Substitute, TLC Stars
Known for a combination of flashes of brilliance and idiocy, the former certainly outweighs the latter, but not by much. Fortunately for him, he is only required to work the corners, which he is excellent at, maybe the best on the team.

Jasper Graham - Forward, Substitute, TLC Stars
A talented forward whose nickname is consitency, he unfortunately cannot be consistent for long. His poor physical endurance has improved greatly over the last three Cups, but he is still not starter material

Kassen Illius - Halfback, Starter, TLC Stars
Not flashy, just tough. No nonsense football has given Kassen Illius a great name among his peers on the Stars. He excelled in the rough 'n tough physical play of Lord Mackintoshes style, but has still found his niche in the defnse focused play of Jeff McKay.

Mark Jeremy - Forward, Clanners Squad
He is revered as the icon of Clan soccer. He started rather small and dimuitive, as anyone subbing for former star Gavin Fleury. His heart, skill and leadership ability became obviously after the gamein which Gavin Fleury was fatally injured. Has captained the last three WC squads

Coach Jose Ruak -- the third generation of his family to coach the national team, after team founder Matan Ruaka nd animal psychiatrist Guntur Ruak, he has been given the task of filling the shoes of the legendary Bi Kikere. Breaking with tradition, coach Ruak has chosen to play with a 4-3-3 formation, marking the first time the Crocs start play in any formation other than 4-4-2. Ruak coaches Black-and-Red Army, one of four Tanah Burung sides in the League of Emerald Heights Assocaition Football, and has chosen most of the line-up from LEAF squads.
