THE MATRIX: RP’ed (Open RP)

OOC: Since I saw another thread that existed that worked with the same concept, I decided I would make my own. This thread involves a ship going into the Matrix in order to take someone out. No one can be Trinity, Neo, or Morpheus or any other Matrix character. Make up your own name and character. All of you, everyone has only one character at a time unless given permission, are a crew of the ship The Ethereal. (Not a real ship from the movie, but this thread is only loosely based on it).

I need someone who is a good leader (seriously) to be the Captain of the ship. Who ever wants to join there after can be crew members.

There will be Real World fights, matrix fights and training simulations. Be Creative, we’ll ad lib this one and see how far it can take us.

(If you haven’t noticed, this game doesn’t affect your nation nor does it ask for it’s involvement, it’s just you being a character)

Let’s see how many people want to do this.

OOC: The other one kicked me out, so here gos:

The Ethereal hovercraft was well known throughout Zion, not for it's skill at missions or precision and efficiency, but the personaliity of the crew. They had some real characters on board. One of these being the Ship's mechanic, Juan Kenshi. He was a very good mechanic, some said there was nothing he couldn't fix, and the only reason he wasn't employed by the Nebuchadnezzar, was that he was a squirrel.

OOC: I guess I'll be captain then....

IC: I was walking through the park on a beautiful Sunday morning. I was with my girlfriend of 2 months, Lena. My arm was around her as we passed joggers and bicyclists. To our left was a group of kids playing touch football. To our right was a hot dog vendor. I asked her if she wanted to sit down on the nearest bench; I had something to tell her.

"What is it?" She asked me.

"Lena, we've been together for 2 months now, but I feel like we've known each other forever." I told her.

"Aww... baby, you know I love you too." She gave me a hug across the chest.

I chuckled. "But what I just wanted to tell you was, I can't bear to live my life with anyone else. So..." I fingered my pocket. "I decided I would give you this." It was a small thread, cut in a loop. Her eyes grew skeptical.

"I figured that we're too young to be married so soon," I put the thread on her finger, "But I thought we could pretend for a while." Her smile was the embodiment of kindness. She didn't say anything, she just gazed at me and gave me a kiss on the lips. That said it all.

Then, her body started to twist and contort itself in awful, unnatural ways. It was as if reality itself were shifting and molding her into it's own new creation. A sat horrified, and backed away from her. Then as if by some terrible magic, before me no longer sat my future fiancee, but a green suited man with sunglasses.

"ughhh...Ah!" I yelped, out of my sleep. I had been dreaming. I was back to where I was, on board the hovercraft "The Ethereal." I was the captain of this ship. I was shaken by my nightmare; whether or not it was a simple dreamscape conjuring or an actual memory of Matrix days past I do not know. What did it matter anyway? Nothing in the Matrix was real. Memory or not, it was a fake. A simple encounter that occured while I was plugged into the "power plant" as people called it. I couldn't show my awkwardness after experiencing the dream to the other members of the ship.

I was the Captain. My machine given name was Russell Collins. But like most people, I couldn't live under my slave name. I am Rush. Just one name. Captain Rush.

On a side note, squirrels do rule...
