Wazzu Troops Massing on Boarder, in Space
by Jeremy Lao, SNN Earth Bureau

Reports of part-time troops being called for in for duty have been comming in from across Wazzu since late last night. Troop reporting locations vary, but seem to be concentrated near ports along the Southeastern coastline of the nation. Many are asking if this might be yet another force heading for Wazzu Arda, but civilian military analyst Mike Down thinks otherwise.

"If you look closely at Wazzu's Ardan territory, you'll see that many of the troops and aid workers that were sent there have just left, or are scheduled to leave soon." said Down in an interview earlier, "Moreover, the Wazzu-Imperium conflict seems to have fizzled as neither side takes aggressive actions towards the other. I don't know why troops are being marshaled, but the timing seems very convenient."

And Mr. Down is most certainly right. Not only are many troops seemingly comming home, but they are scheduled to arrive at a time when there will be an unusually high number of solar merchant convoys in the Earth/Luna subsystem. Many wonder if this is not an accident, others wonder if it is a test or exersize.

As of now, SNN reporters are busy contacting government and corporate officials for answers and are getting ready for Friday's weekly press conference. Stay tuned to SNN for information as this story develops.

Nonetheless, Morgoth would prepare for the worst. He'd assumed, of course, that despite the government's assurances to the contrary, that the Wazzu force was indeed heading to Wazzu Arda. Hence, the 9th Fleet was sent out to patrol the area as Easterling Marines, Veriags, and Dunlanding infantry began marshalling at the closest border.

In Utumno, Alkanphel waited quietly for Wazzu to reveal its devices.

Then again, if Morgoth paid any actual attention to the Ongoing's of the Wazzu Ardan base, he'd know that 1000 High Orcs of the Red Blade were already within the Colony, passed it's borders and patrolling the actual bases. It's no wonder Sauron had the eye, as Morgoth was oblivious to the ongoing's of his own nation. This is much further proof of the 13 Clans continuous upkeep and maintenance of Arda.

[ooc: of course I knew. How does that change anything?]

OOC: No, really Melkor, it should be quite obvious. The troops are nowhere near Arda. Many have left (though there are a whole lot of fresh trainees and a fair number of experianced soldiers still remaining). anyhow....

"Ladies, Gentlemen, welcome to the Briefing.

"As you may have guessed, we are going into a real operation. Ela Rios believes that the people still living in Bobaria need help, and are deserving of our way of life...and that we need their land."

*A large photograph of Bobaria appeared on a screen behind the speaker.*

"Now, as you know, Bobaria's government has been defunct for a long time. Strangely, no one seems to have noticed, or cared. Thats good for us, perhaps not so good for the infantry. An anarchy is a difficult place to march into.

"As pilots, you shouldn't see any missiles from Bobaria itself. Also, a large flotilla of spacecraft are parked geostat further South over the equator, they should disuade anyone from comming down on your heads. So I want you to worry only about forign aircraft invading Bobaria airspace.

"Understand, this may not go over well with the international community. Some nations, like nearby Crimmond, may want the territory for themselves. Others may just not want us to have it. If they act, we'll have to be prepared to react quickly.

"Gentlemen, ladies, Bobaria is ours. When we launch, a message will be sent out informing the world. So if anyone violates Wazzu-Bobaria airspace, you have immediate authority to shoot them down. And if anyone fires on you from over the boarder, you have immediate authority to return fire.

"So maintain air superiority and protect our other aerospace craft. Thats your job.

"You all have your patrol profiles in your folders. Study up and suit up, we fly in 3 hours.

"Godspeed."

International transmission....

"Ladies and Gentlebeings of the world, I am Manar Tawam, speaker for the government of Wazzu.

"Ten minutes ago, Wazzu troops landed in the defunct nation of Bobaria, a land once known as Denmark. The Bobarian government disentigrated decades ago, and the population there has steadily declined to disease, violence, and lack of health care. Its sufferings have been ignored by the international community.

"This action was planned when it appeared the government of Northeast Prussia would also fall. Fortionately, recent action in that nation has saved it from collapse. But Bobaria is still wrapped in lawlessness.

"Therefore, as of today, Wazzu declares the formor territory of Bobaria as part of its soverign holdings. Law and education will be brought back to the survivors, and aid will follow.

"Due to the military nature of securing an anarchy, and of the uncertain political reprocussions, we must insist that other nations stay away from the Wazzu-Bobarian boarder. Civilian air and sea traffic will be escorted around the territory. Unauthorized military incursions will be met as if violating Wazzu airspace...with deadly force.

"We hope the inclusion of this nation will go smoothly and peacefully, and that we may soon bring civilization back to those who suffer in Bobaria.

"Thank you for your time."

A deep rumbling sound drew near...louder and louder. Abenra's largest and most dangerous motorcycle gang had taken the bait and was drawing near fast.

Spec Sergeant Jimmy Medna signaled his accomplice across the street, who was also hiding behind the wall of a ruined building. He gripped the thin wire, it wouldn't be long now.

A whir and a woosh, barely audiable over the thunderous gang's bikes, marked the passing of a single TransCorp motorbike, going at a piddly 90kph so the gang could keep up. Medna and his partner pulled on the cord, feeding it through the mechanical grippers. The line went taught, nearly invisible and a meter high. A traditional clothesline.

Even had the gang seen it, it would have been too late. The accident was spectacular.

Grabbing a grenade launcher he had ready nearby, Spec Medna lobbed in three sonics.

The advantage of sonics was their versitility. The Northern Gun products had many settings. One was littlerally bone shattering, another would pop eardrums, a third was useful for a simple stun. This one, setting seven, was particularly nasty, though ultimately not deadly for most.

Each of his three, and four by his compatriot, landed expertly near their targets and detonated. The soundwaves streached muscles...pulled them. "Like a bad sports injury," Medna remembered his trainer speaking, "only all over the body."

A 5 minute check revealed three had died in the accident, most were mercifully unconsious, 2 screamed out in constant pain. Medna put them out with a stunner, the cleanup crew wouldn't enjoy that screaching either.

-Eh? Whats this?
-Latest Report from the Observation Equipment on the ICBM Satellite.
-Oh....hmmm.....looks like trails of smoke and a sudden stop, then some other flashes.
-Indeed, but look at what the Enhanced Camera captured.
-Interesting.....Looks like Police Work to me, nothing out of the ordinary.
-I'll come back if anything else gets sent.
-Good, Good. Now, leave me be for now.[/code:1:8cb3cb0228]

Mark tightened his grip on his slingshot as an APC stopped nearby, letting out two armored figures. One covered the other as the second posted a sign. They were quick, most civilians around here were armed with more then just slingshots.

As soon as the APC sped away, Mark walked up to look at the posting. He couldn't read, but he knew what it said. The old fogies couldn't stop talking about it. Elections were comming, and aid, and jobs...aprenticeships in construction work, farming, and other trivial pursuits.

Huh, Elections. thought Mark, Who needs 'em? Spraypaint was rare and expensive here, so Mark used his dull rusty pocket-knife to carve a circled "A" into the sign. We'll show them elections, we'll elect them out, by force.

Another APC approached, and Mark dissappeared into the bushes.

"Michael Lumos, you stand accused of terrorism, murder, theft, protection racketing, and inciting crimes against the people of the state. How do you plead?"

"This is a free state," Lumos replied, "There are no laws in an anarchy, so I am not guilty of breaking them!"

"I suggest you take a look around, your not in an anarchy, and you never were. Now take a-"

"Ludacris! I demand you set me free! Lemme go! Your fascism wil-" As Michael Lumos yelled his rant, the judge just shook his head and made a simple gesture. The court guard took the hint, pulled out his stunner, and zapped the accused.

Lumos suddenly found himself on the ground, his body limp and numb. And as two people pulled him up to a chair, the judges words rang in his ears.

"A point to remember Mr. Lumos. If you won't shuddup, you'll be shut up. You denied your right to council so I suggest you be very careful from this point forward...."

And the trial went on.
