As it is mentioned, this thread is OOC.
I am doing some planning for some future RP'ing. And stumbled upon the question of foreign embassies and consulates in Vigvar. I don't know who I have and who I don't have :?

As such, to resolve the problem once and for all and because I am too lazy to RP Embassy exchanges right now, all nations that I have come into contact with and that wish to open an embassy can just state so in this thread and I'll consider that it was opened sometime ago with all appropriate ceremonies and bla-bla-bla, yada-yada-yada.

Of course, if you have your representatives in Vigvar, I automaticly repay the favour :wink:

There are several nations that I am sure GDT has no diplomatic contact with. Such as:

Lavenrunz
Valinon
Melkor Unchained
Scolopendra + certain Yut nations.

For the time being, at least these nations cannot have their own embassy in Vigvar. They are free to have 'representatives' within the embassy of an other nation that accepts them. As such, the diplomats from this nation will have to go through the representatives of the 'host' embassy to issue a demand. So they ask the 'host' to ask something from my authorities. As such, all 'requests' will be taken as requests done by the 'host'. So the 'host' better think before accepting anyone :wink:

- SFN members(TVC, DA, FTR, etc. etc.)
- Knootoss
- Whispering Voices
- Menelmacar (?)
- Federation of Sentient Peoples (?)
- EOTED (?)
- Tartarus (aka 'My Favourite Empress' :P )


Anyway, I invite all those who know me and who RP(or did so in the past) with me to post here.

Well. As I have said, I wanted an OOC statement. And having an embassy in someone's nation does not necessarily mean ties of alliance.
Just that the two nations are at 'peace'.

I like to just say that Edolia has an embassy with anyone from whom we don't intentionally withdraw one. Of course considering the size of the world, that wouldn't really be possible, but in real life, everyone has an embassy with everyone else, pretty much and I don't like to sacrifice that just because the world is unrealistically large.

Guys. If you do post that you have an embassy in Vigvar, then it is only logic that I have an embassy in your capital. Which means - don't forget to post the name of your national capital.

OOC: Sorry, the capital is called The Crystal City, for reasons I will not get into.

Yes, Iraqstan has an embassy there and vice versa. Capital city is Sirithilia. (dont ask anyone) :P.

A Council diplomat walked across a large square in GDT. He was dressed in the offical TVC blue and white, with symbols on his left arm that indicated that he was an official representative of the Daiamid Council of the Vortex Corporation. Leaving the morning sun and clear sky, he entered one of the GDT buildings around the square, and headed directly for the secretary that was behind a nicely carved desk. Handing over a small letter in an enveloppe, he told her to who it should be given, and then turned around, to find a place where he could enjoy his lunch in the comfortable sun.

While others evacuate, I am just sending in more Foreign Protectors(Taraskovyan Department of Foreign Affairs special forces, charged with security of embassies).
After all, all the funny stuff is in a nation torn apart by war. And when it comes to negotiating with the new authorities(if the new authorities are installed), who will get to it first - somebody who left, or somebody who was there all the time? :wink:

So if my embassy is on a spacious ground, with fences around it and everything, it should already have several APC's deployed and a couple UPAC's waiting on quickly put up landing pads :?

The stuff on other planets would just be consulates, things to get visas from and such... :?

In my understand, 'purge' means 'repress', 'eliminate', 'liquidate'.

I guess that what you mean by purge in my vocabulary is designated by the word 'expulsion'. :?

A brief explanation herein follows of what an EOTED embassy is, and why we're cooler than everyone else because of that.

Well, okay, just the former. The latter is one of my 'jokes'. Honest. ;)

EOTED, when it establishes contact with another state, usually sends a 'trimensional communication system'. This is a bit like a holographic unit, except it's completely different, and utterly unoriginal. However, I liked the name so much, that I made an exception on my 'ninety-nine percent original' rule. 'Trimensional' (or TVC for short), as some may have noticed, was the system used for 'viewing' in Asimov's books - he later changed the name to 'holographic/holography/holovision', though. At any rate, a "trimensional 'visor" is a small plate of an undefined material that creates a 'false holographic image'. It looks as though the room that Person A is in is merged with the room that Person B is in, after a brief adaptation period. One can even walk around, with the recording unit floating with you - but at any rate, to simplify things a bit, any nation that has had friendly diplomatic contact with EOTED has received a TVC viewer and recording unit. Nobody in the Empire cares if the tech is adapted or backengineered, either. In fact, if you do so, you'll make INN Solar very happy - they're the only network that transmits trimensional programming, after all. ;)

So. No embassy building. Just a communication unit and a set of special frequencies for diplomatic contact of varying importance.

EOTED doesn't have foreign embassies, but we do allow foreign embassies in the Empire. There's not much point (there's a center for international comms in every city in the Empire, for tourists to use, that is considered 'neutral territory' and outside the direct jurisdiction of Her Majesties Imperial Government), but if it is wanted, there's a Foreign Quarter in Nenya where there are several foreign embassies.]

Aren't Menelmacari embassies all heavily guarded fortresses? I vaguely recall guards with plasma flamethrowers shooting from a very high wall in the allied nation of Der Angst.

Check with Menelmacar, I'm pretty sure that most of her embassies have a Roanian there. If there isn't a Roanian embassy, and no Roanian wants to go, then Menelmacar handles my diplomacy with that nation.

Well as you know our two nations had a bit of an incident that was luckilly avoided, and afterwards I send an entourage to your nationto improve relations. I would assume that they would have requested to be allowed to set up an embassy. Since my nation is (or was) not an SFN member.
