Star Trek: Mirror Universe. If your a Trekkie, you probably know what it is. If not, allow me to explain. The mirror universe is a universe where just about everything is the opposite as in ours. In this universe, rather than a Federation, a Terran Empire exists. In this Empire, crewmembers are promoted via bribery and assasination (and, very rarely, through good deeds).

So, anyone interested in getting into an rp consisting of the crewmembers on a ship in a universe like this? You could be anything from captain to bodyguard to medic. Hell, you could even be on a seperate ship. FYI, this will probably be more of a charactor rp, not an rp with multiple rpers commanding multiple ships. Of course, if your very interested in doing it another way....

Anyway, post here if your interested. Here's some stuff you might want to know.

Major Forces in the Galaxy
The Terran Empire of Planets
The Subjugated people's of Klingon.
The Romulan Republic
The Dominion
The Cardassian Alliance

The Terrans, who have subjugated the Klingons, are probably the most evil and powerfull. The Borg came in second for most evil, but were destroyed by the terrans with ease. The romulan republic is currently nuetral. The dominion and cardassian alliance are at a very hostile peace with the terrans. Everyone in the rp will most likely be placed in the Terran fleet.

Terran Ship Divisions
Command: Obviously the most powerfull. The Captain and X.O. and such. Those in this catagory have bodyguard teams, and are always being guarded by someone.

Ship's Bodyguards: Any person at the rank of, or above the rank of, Commander has a group of personel bodyguards. They are picked by this V.I.P., and though they can turn down the position, nearly everyone chooses to take it. This is mainly due to the facts that it is very rewarding (bodyguards are well payed to keep them loyal), and turning it down is usually admitting you hate the person, which usually leads to your disapearence.

Enjineering: Second largest division on a starship. Consists of enjineers. In an emergency situation, however, these enjineers can be deputized into security officers.

Ship's Security: Largest division in a Terran Starship. Ranges in activity from searching out spies to assasinating rebellious crewmembers.

Medical: Second smallest division on a Terran Starship. Consists mainly of doctors who are only interested in creating more wounded via biological weapons. However, this division does house a couple actually good doctors. In fact, if your looking for someone in ethics, medbay is usually the place to go.

Science: Smallest division on a Terran starship. Usually consists of only around 5% of the crew (versus about 50% in normal Star Trek). Those in this division are known to be the least evil, but in this universe, that doesn't mean much. Only around 1% of this division actually does scientific work, the rest spend their time upgrading weapons and working sensors stations.

Those are the main divisions and powers....anyone interested in this rp?

Admiral Brian MacLeod watched with hard eyes as the last of the rebel ships blew apart. The bridge of the TEP Werewolf was silent as befitted the ship, which despite it's great size, was uninhabited by any living being other than it's Captain.
"Admiral, all rebel ships are destroyed."
Samantha, the shipboard AI that allowed such a powerful vessel to be run by a single human was dressed in clothing that could hardly be described as concealing.
The Admiral let his gaze linger on the hologram for a moment before leering. "Begin sterilization of the planet, no survivors. And then meet me in my cabin for some fun. I find I am bored today." A massive metal arm waved dismissingly, a perfect match for the other one, both painted as dark as the deepest depths of space. "These traitors were hardly worth our time. Before you join me, set a course for Battlebase 352, our job will be done then."
"Yes Sir."
As the Admiral disappeared into the cabin the Werewolf began raining fire down on the planet that had dared to try and rebel against the Empire. The four million men, women, and children watched the sky seemingly burn until painful darkness took them one and all.

You forgot the Terran Resistance...those "good humans" fighting the "evil humans" in the DS9 episode.

OOC: That's true. But there are many resistance groups in the galaxy...too many to count. As well as too many stories of what the mirror universe is like in this era. In fact, what I'm saying now was said in a star trek book, but shown as wrong in two others. You never know. Anyway....I'll put in my IC once Grimdale's charactor arrives at the battleebase.

The Werewolf dropped out of warp near Battlebase 352. Once the ship was in a parking orbit, Admiral MacLeod beamed over to see the commanding officer and recieve his new orders.

As the Admiral walked out of one of the Battlebase's many transporter room, he turned right to head towards the turbolift. His destination was obvious: Ops. The way he walked, with a slight swagger, also let the man who was following him know that the admiral had no idea he was being tailed.

And that's exactly the way the follower wanted it.

OCC: Has anyone read the Shatner Star Trek books in the series where he is brought back to the time of The Next Generation? I recommend reading them. Bookds 4-6 are dealing with the mirror universe. They are written by Shatner.

OOC: I read the first two, trying to get the third. However, another book I read displayed the mirror universe as totally diffirent...and a third again diffirent.....I'm not sure which to follow.

Anyway, I picked this one because it left the most room to use the structure of assasinating to get promoted (which I love), and it leaves more room for large wars.

Anywho, your right. I'll be starting the RP on another thread in a bit. Thus far, we've gotten few real signups, but I'll display them.

Grimdale as an admiral.
Me as whatever seems most necesary once we get more sign ups.
Klonor as a bodyguard.
Also, Steel Butterfly and Crimmond have shown interest.

Now I just have one question. What ship (name and type) were doing the rp on...Grimdale's, from what I know, would only have a top of an 18 man crew. It would probably work (since theres only six of us), but a larger crew would give more leisure. What do you guys think?

I want us to use the time line of the Shatner books where we have Kirk, who is me, Spock, McCoy, and Scotty with TNG crew

OOC: I thought we were already using the Werewolf for our ship and with our own characters, not ones directly from the actual series.

[ooc: I agree with, Grimdale, using made up characters is so much better, means you can develope them yourself.

And as to the ship, I have no preferences and will go with whatever is decided.]

OOC: Of course, we would use made up charactors. Otherwise things get WAY too complicated. It was only the ship I was worried about. I had been thinking about doing something other than Grimdale's, but now that I think about it, since there are only like six of us, doing it one his ship (crew of anywhere from 1-18 ) would probably be easier.

So, I'll start the thread soon. Hope to see you all there.
