OOC: Simply a public anouncment of new goings on at WYC. Due to the imposibility of finding decent pictures of Marines in Vietnam, Somalia, The Gulf, etc. with M41A pulse rifles, I'm making a few changes.

IC:

Today, Imitora's Weyland Yutani Corporation has anounced a new product line of personal small arms. Due to the recent failure of effectiveness with several M51A Pulse Weapons and M41A Pulse Rifles in Cambodia and Vietnam, it has been decided that something more effective than the simple pulse action must be devised.

Therefore, Imitoran Colonial Marines in in Vietnam, Cambodia, and everywhere else they may venture, will be recieving the first shipments of the WYC made M45 Advanced Combat Weapon System, Personal, or M45 ACWS-P.

The ACWS-P builds on the idea of the pulse action system, but takes it further. Using an advanced firing mechanism and set up, the rounds form the M45 can achieve a higher velocity than almost any small arms rifle available today. The M45 uses a ETC system similar to the one used on the AGCV's 135mm ETC cannon, however, on a much smaller scale.

The round fired by the M45 are the new 6.5mm Caseless rounds. The use of caseless ammunition allows the loading of 115 rounds of 6.5mm. The rounds used can be SLAP (Standard Light Anti Personel), SLAM (Standard Light ArMor piercing), and custom frangible rounds that will pierce up to an inch of steal, yet explode inside a human body.

The M45 is moddled after the Armalite serries of rifles, and therefore is light, compact, and easy to use. WYC is, of course, looking into offering other applications of this technology into other weapons.

An M45 in Standard ICMC Configuration. Of note: The weapon itself can be modified in any way similar to the Armalite series of M4s and M16s. Custom applications can be made to order.
