I was recently thinking about my country's history, and was wondering if it could get involved in the American Civil War. And I've wondered- how do you think the Civil War affected your country? Did your country support the Union or Confederacy, and how? Keep in mind you can't really alter the storyline, i.e. send in 20,000 troops to relieve Lee at Gettysburg or something? :D But you can do other things. Maybe have a liason officer in the Union or Confederqate units and RP him, or help or hinder the Rebel blockade runners- maybe even build a blockade runner or two if you're pro-Confederate. (Keep in mind that official recognition of the CSA by a major power would dramatically alter the history and dramatically alter the "timeline" as it were," so support would have to be "unofficial," as it were.)
As for my country, I was thinging of this:
• Some liason officer in the Union army, who notices the "Rebel yell" and recommends it be adopted by the Syskeyian army. This Syskeyia does.
• A regiment of so of Syskeyian troops lands in San Francisco bay in support of the Union. As there are virtually nil Confederates in California at the time, though, they really don't do anything. (Altering timeline too much?)
• Blowing up Confederate blockade runners in the Pacific. :D
• RPing my ambassador to the US interacting w/Lincoln on certain matters.
