National Jugg Matches begin. 2 billionth citizen born.

Sakkra
17-03-2004, 04:56
All around Sakkra, and its holdings throughout the system and beyond, a message is heard over the general announcement speakers throughout the lands. News-feed stations relay this announcement throughout the airwaves and throughout C-space.

The figure of Emperor Gorrm walks up to a podium, flanked by eagle-eyed TacSoft Troopers and Hordesmen. His golden mantle of office is highly polished and casts a reflection on his blueish-grey scales.

"Attention all. Attention. The Regional Jugg Matches are almost over, and in one (NS) month, the National Match will once again come to the Kastaa Athletics Complex." Random cheering, hooting and such can be heard throughout the lands.

Gorrm holds up his hands for silence, and continues. "Not only that, but this is an extra-special occasion. It will commemorate our 2 billionth hatchling since we made our presence known. The hatchling will be adopted into the Imperial Line, and given a name suitable of its status when the age is right."

"As a result of this momentous occasion, we will invite any nations to send two dignitaries to attend this. Be warned, it is not a sport for the faint of heart. If your people are sensitive about blood and such, you may wish to avoid this event. Otherwise, send a message to the Diplomatic Corps offices in Kastaa, and a place will be reserved for your dignitaries in the Imperial Viewing Box, which is the best seat in the house."

"That is all. May you walk on warm sands!" Gorrm then turns and exits the podium. All over the holdings of Sakkra, the people go into a hyper-excited state.

Transmission from Novar, Nova Kretani Solar System

Explorer, a very reliable deep space probe sent back in the days we lived on Motherworld Earth, relayed a message by your Leader, Gorrn. We heard only the verbal, as Explorer was not made to send video. However, back to subject, we wish to send two great Birthrights of our beloved Ancient Rudavia, destroyed by a rouge meteor setting off a chain of apocalyptic events.

Our first Delegate will be a Birthright Human, meaning one of the Human strain that has a pure bloodline ONLY in Ancient Rudavia, or now on Novar, without outside interference in blood. Our second Delegate will be a Komodren, the Dominate race, if I may respectfully say, in Nodea Rudav, the race that started the Rebellion back in days of old and ended it with the help of the Birthright Humans to create Nodea Rudav so very long ago.

We thank you for allowing us to participate. Rudavian Blood has a tendency to make one grave Glorious Battle, Honorable Battle. Just be aware that Komodren do go into a rage if insulted, so we ask for forgivness if our delegate does so.

Thank You,
Chief General Etan Vori'Ani
Second Leader of the Colony of Nodea Rudav and Leader of all Colonial Armed Forces
Planet Novar, Nova Kretani Solar System

P.S.
We also have send in this transmission the basic and true image of the Komodren race, different colorations in skin most times, but mostly, and basicaly, the same. Birthright Humans need not explaining, as they look Human, with expection of some alterations in Bone Structure which is still be researched into.

After reading the reply from the beings of Nodea Rudav, the Liaisons of the Diplomatic Corps, Ghoou and Sseev, eyeball each other.

"So if this Komodren of their Dominant Race goes into a rage, what do you think we should expect?"

"They appear to be a bit diminutive, in respect to physicality, but one should never be underestimated. It would be a diplomatic Incident, to be certain."

"Agreed. We should have a contingent of Skeen operatives in the area anyway, just in case yes?"

"It would be a prudent course."

Kata'Re looked over the transmission reply, thinking to himself quietly as he pondered some other things. Setting the paper down and sighed, which sounded like a mixture of light growling and non-threatening hissing. Normally in Diplomatic situations the Colonial Government would send an actual ambassador to such events. However, it was the choice of Kata'Re to be that "unknown" ambassador to experience this new race up-close and, hopfully, have a good time. Komodren were well in control of their rage, so that wasn't even a problem, only if in the actual event someone did something such as cheating, Kata'Re would show them what cheaters deserve is something painful, but not death.

Getting up from the seat, his tail sliding out of the space which allowed a comfortable seat for tailed creatures, Kata'Re yawned, his jaw stretching and popping as the yawn subsided. Looking at the door-way, he saw his goo friend, a Birthright Human, Chief General Etan Vori'Ani. Motioning for his good friend to enter and take a seat, Kata'Re sat back on the couch.

"So," started Kata'Re as Etan took a seat in a chair infront of the couch, the empty space having a table to counter the empty space, "Have you come to change my mind again, Brethren Vori'Ani? Need I explain to you reasons I want to go?"

Laughing lightly, Etan shook his head. "No, no, no," Etan replied in a russian/english accent, "I have no tention of keeping my Brethren Leader from his.....Vacation, shall we say? You deserve this, more than anyone, with what you been through."

Kata'Re shook his head lightly in disagreement, his voice accent a mixture of a low rumbling-like english, "No, I believe our beloved People that live and rule this Government AS the Government deserve a break. Ever since we have Founded the new Colony and created a new life on Novar, now our new Homeworld, The People have worked hard to achieve a good life, in which they have with the help of all Colonial Assests."

Etan nodded, "I see. You would be the one to say such things, no Brethren Komodren? Ha, I have envied you for your ways of allowing a true democracy to be made again. I cannot believe how far we have gotten with this government, yet it has please The People as our Nations True Government, and has got us long way since past times."

"Indeed, indeed," replied Kata'Re, "Now, on to another subject. Whom shall accompany me on this trip? I believed you, my good Human Brethren, but whom shall lead the Colonial Government and oversee The People and attend to their wishes, demands, ectra, ectra? Only you can in my absence, intern I might go alone."

Etan laughed, "You give me too much credit, Brethren Leader! Ha!" Shaking his head slowly, stopping the laughter, he continued, "I know I am the Second Leader of this beautiful Nation which is led by its People, yet I, too, need a vacation."

"Am I hearing correctly that you, Chief General of Nodea Rudav, Second in Leadership to me in Colonial Governmental Status, asking for a break?"

Etan shrugged, sitting back and sighing. "Well, I suppose that can be the explanation. I am tired myself, and although this new world has many, MANY, amazing things, I have yet to see the day of another Reptilian Species to be seen by my eyes."

Kata'Re became silent for a moment, then looked at Etan directly. "You know, they could be fake. Long have we Komodren searched, and only you Birthright Humans, bloodline directly from Ancient Rudavia, have ever been our closest find." He sighed, "I have no actual idea what these reptilians will look like, yet I seek friendship withone, tiring of searching endlessly."

"You seek a Companion," told Etan, "A female that you have not found to exist within your race. I see, indeed, I have looked upon Komodren Females with great interest. Only in Honor and Respect, and by The Bloodline of Ancient Rudavia, do I keep away from such closeness."

"Companion or no companion, I have always been alone. Even that Cat-Girl only served as a Good Friend, in which we allowed her to seek her new life before any thing close to a relationship could start. I did have love for her, but made to such actions to MAKE love with her, for I knew it wrong." Kata'Re looked out the window at the night sky, the moons of Novar shining brightly as Nova Kretani lit space with its never-ending light. "I wish not to be the first to break the Bloodline, no one does, and no one will. Yet I seek only a species like myself, as all Komodren do. We are alone, were alone, as far as memory serves. Now we have the possibility of finding Brethren among the stars that possibly look like us, talk like us, Humanoid and Reptilian, perhaps even a breed of Komodren. I know not, all I do know is I cannot wait."

Silence for a long time beheld the two, then Etan broke the long quietness, "I understand fully, my Brethren Friend. May God and Honor be with you all the way, and may you find what your soul seeks, my Good Friend."

Nodding acknowledgment, Etan and Kata'Re stood, only the Chief General leaving the Leader Office, Kata'Re left to wonder what this new race they have found, if they are indeed reptilian, might look like, might be.

On Kastaa Island, Emperor Gorrm sits on a cast-iron balcony overlooking the crystal-clear ocean. A warm and moist breeze carries with it the scent of hibiscus and roasting meats from below. His mind weighs heavily, for much change has occured since he came to power.

It almost seems like the corporations here have more power than the Imperial Throne. I need to reign in all this unchecked influence. But how to do it without sending our economy spiralling out of control? His internal musings are cut short, however, as one of his Servitors enters bearing a crystal pitcher full of chilled Paroo, with a lemon wedge on the rim of the oddly-lipped pitcher. A pair of goblets accompanies the pitcher.

"Thank you Servitor Hhaarg."

"My pleasure, Sire."

Gorrm turns in his chair and leans his head back a bit. "Hhaarg, any word from my elder hatchmate Thress about her attendance to the Jugg Matches?"

The servitor cups a hand to his chin a moment, and then looks up. "WHy, yes Sire. There was word indeed. She has completed her investigations of the Orbital SHipyard, has found the culprit trying to smuggle Anole fighters out of our holdings, and has taken appropo action. She will attend."

Gorrm settles back in his chair as the sun starts creeping over in his direction. "Good news. Good news indeed. Thank you Hhaarg." He takes a sip from the lip of the pitcher, and sighs.

Colonial Headquarters, Novar

Chief General Etan Vori'Ani sighed, looking at the reports of patrols both off-planet and on. Indeed amazing findings were taking place, yet this new news of his Good Friend, the Leader of the Colony of Nodea Rudav, going to a unknown Solar System, uncharted, seemed unusual. It was the Chief General whom sat up in his chair, a metal desk with a computer console on it, and looked at his assistant.

"Tre'Si," he started to the female Komodren, "Contact Colonial Space Force Command and instruct them to begin patrols in the Sakkra system, or atleast where the tranmission origionated. I don't want my Komodren Brethren Leader walking into a possible....situation."

She nodded, her duty going about sending orders.

------------------------------------

Space distorted as a ripple seemed to turn into a distortion, as if someone through a rock into water and waves come forth in circles. Moments later a bright blue object exited the distortion, the bluish shelling around the object dissapating into space, revealing a Space Ship.

It wasn't much, just a Modified Buran Space Shuttle that had a Sub-Space Drive for travel. This one, however, had sensory equipment for charting unknown planets and such, and in this case it was to moniter this system.

Major Xan'Ti nodded to his Co-Pilot, Lt. Bevri. "We are here, inform the crew to begin scanning the system. We must know as juch as possible before Leader Kata'Re arrives on his long-awaited 'vacation', as the Chief General put it."

Nodding and unstrapping the harness in the seat, Bevri, her Komodren body elegantly floating in the weightlesness of space, used her legs to thrust her at a controlable speed to the hatch leading to the back of the shuttle, once a Cargo Bay before Modifications. Looking back at the Pilots Panel, the steering wheel, so-to-speak, and everything else one needed for deep-space travel Xan'Ti began typing something into a Comp Console stationed on his right side, the screen and keyboard pointing towards him. Only a few inces away, just enough to be comfortable for the pilot, Xan'Ti began to check a few systems on the Modified Buran Space Shuttle, or MBSS.

It would be a long patrol, but it would be worth it. For now, Microwave Pulses, so sensitive that they could pick up detail on a planet even two AU's away, was being sent to every planet for detail annalyses of the system. Although it was a sensitive wave pulse, it could not defy the laws of Logic and suddenly get the image. It took many pulses for a far-away planet to even GET an image, but it detailed enough to tell if it was able to be inhabited by lifeforms or not.

OOC: Shall we get back to the RP at hand? Heh.

IC: AT the G.A.B. Research Facility, the microwave scans had not gone unnoticed. Director Shuuta gets wind of this from one of the operators of the P.S.L.I. Sensor Suite.

"Director Shutta to command. Director Shuuta to command."

After a few moments, the Director, Chief Bio-Physicist Shuuta, enters the command chamber. She lifts up the monocular visor on her sensor helmet, and looks on the Sensor Suite screen. "What am I seeing, Sen-Tech Shiir?"

"We have intercepted micro-pulse radar sweeps on the det-grid. P.S.L.I. shows power signatures at coordinates (xyz) by (123). Spatial anomoly ripple effects have been registered. We have a snoop."

Shuuta raises up, and the nictitating membranes close over her eyes. A snoop. To spy on our experiments? "Inform the Docks of this. Request code Guhaa Aleph. Give them a sensor hack."

"On it, Director."

The sensor suite operator sends a tight-beamed laser-pulse comm to the Orbital Docks in Titan Orbit. The message is received and relayed to several comm satellites until it reaches its target.

Admiral Shaar is apprised of the situation. "Request code Guhaa Aleph? Do we have those forces available?" she asks the Dock Commander.

"We do, Admiral. Just completed maintanence checks and fire protocol drills. From the sensor hack we're receiving, I surmise we're not dealing with a military vessel. It is of unknown origin, however. Shall I give the order?"

"Do so. No visitations were expected yet, and if someone IS trying to garner information in an unseemly way, we will find out."

20 minutes later on the launch platform, a squadron of 5 Gecko-Class Corvettes leaves the Docks, and makes a burn towards the location of the vessel making sweeps in the system.

Xan'Ti nodded to one of the crew for the Observation Posts, yawning as he entered the Bridge Area throughb the hatch, his snout closing to expose its reptilian teeth shortly as he drifted lightly towards the Pilots Seat, strapping in and getting his tail to hang, if not float, over the side of the seat. An alarm, small one, sounded as he looked to the left side of the pilots console, opposite of the Computer console on the right side. Eyes widening seeing a contact, and lots of freakin info on some kind of signal, he grabbed the CB Mic in his reptilian hand and pressed the send button.

"Lieutenant Bevri, I believe we have contact of an intercepting Sakkra ship."

Not five minutes past when the sleek, female Komodren body of Bevri stopped moving forward in the weightlessness of space and position herself to sit in the Co-Pilots seat, strapping in quickly and getting her tail in a comfortable position.

"Well," she started, "I wouldn't blame them for intercepting us. Probably, from what Pulses have detected, have some kind of important things going on."

"Graaaa.....," emitted a growling-like moan from Xan'Ti, the ususal sound of dislike to a situation from a Komodren, "Tis is not good, not good at all."

Xan'Ti said something in Native Ancient Rudavian then began to play around with the Computer Console and the Flight Panel, Bevri getting as much info as she could before saying, "If they fire we're fried lizard."

Grunting at the remark and continuing his task, the Modified Buran Space Shuttle came back to life on the outside, retro-jets gently positioning her in a good position to fire back, just in case. She had only one type of weapon fitted on the sides of her nose, a Mini-Gatling Cannon, good because of the extreme felxability of the shuttle as a fighter craft, yet not made as such.

Flipping on the switch to initiate Artifical Gravity back in the Bay, where the crew for the Microwave Observation Equipment lay, he was now prepared to initate self-defense, or even war, if they failed to recieve the auto-matic transmissions from the Shuttle that specificaly told its origion, Nodea Rudav.

OOC: There are 5 corvettes in the squadron. Each is 60.5 m long by 30.5m wide.

Comms are tightbeamed between the corvettes as they approach the target area now on their screens. "This is Squadron Fore Chaar. All units report in."

"Pestering Beetle reporting. All indicators are green."

"Amorous Hound reporting. All indicators are green."

"Wandering Scholar reporting. All indicators green."

"Creeping Garr reporting. All indicators green."

"Good. Good. This is Ambitious Newt, Squadron Fore Chaar logging status reports. Keep all weapons on stand-by, but fingers off the triggers people. Let's see what we have before we wreck it."

The Hard-beam turrets activate along each of the corvettes, and begin 'painting' the unkown craft with targetting data. The petal-sails furl up into their housings, and tuck themselves against the corvette's sides.

"Log. record initial contact transmissions. Let's see what they have to say."

A computerized *bweep* is heard, and Chaar nods his confirmation.

A/V Comm mode:

"This is Squadron Fore Chaar to unknown vessel. We have you painted, and have received an automated message. State your intentions or evacuate this sytem." The message is recorded, then sent repeatedly until a response is heard.

Xan'ti looked to Beveri, sighed in relief as they weren't dead yet, and turned his attention back to the situation at hand, pressing the communications button, grabing the CB Mic with his reptilian hand and pressing the side of the CB Mic that had the send press, ready to explain the truth of their presense.

"Squadron Fore Chaar, this is MBSS Scout on Patrol assignment in your system. We have been sent ahead of Leader Kata'Re to get info on you and your unknown system, to see if you are telling the truth of your species or lieing as the past others have been, to ensure the safety of Kata'Re by not allowing him to fall into a trap."

He stopped, looking at the image......

"From the looks of it your not lieing, and from the name of the squadron your must be telling the truth. Unfortunatly, we have not the capability to send images of us, but we assure you that I, the Pilot along with my Co-Pilot, am Komodren. As for our scouting duty, I believe there is no need to continue."

Waiting a moment, he continued with the last message.....

"You have permission to board and inspect the Modified Buran Space Shuttle as you will, we do not want hostilities with a likely Reptilian Brethren, which so long Komodren have searched for."
Sakkra
21-03-2004, 06:55
Chaar patches into the ship's comm from his helmet. "Prepare a baording and inspection party. I want to make sure that they are who they say they are. 6TacSoft in EVA Suits. Prep hatch 7, and extend umbilicus when dock maneuvers are complete."

Chaar then turns back to the transmission. Reptilian ..... brethren? Such an odd thing to say. Hrrrmmmmm. A reply comm is sent.

"MBSS Scout, power down weaponry and disengage drives. A boarding party will attest to the truth of your statements. Prepare a hatch, yes?"

He sends the comm, and waits. Reptilian brethren. I wonder if that is anything like a hatchmate?
21-03-2004, 07:05
Xan'Ti and Beveri began powered down both weapons and back-up systems for weapons, the MBSS's Observation Microwave Pulse being cut off-line as with other sensors, expect for the normal radar to detect incoming space rocks or what-else.

Sighing, Xan'Ti pressed the Reply Button on the CB Mic.

"Power down complete, you may board when ready."

Quickly remembering the hatch, he flipped a switch and it became unlocked, easy access. Unstrapping to go to the main Hatch, an Air-Lock inside, of course, he waited. The Opening hatch and Hatch to get inside the shuttle had no window, or glass, to see the occupant. Intern, he just waited as Beveri remained at her Co-Pilot seat to keep track of ths ships normal systems.
Sakkra
21-03-2004, 07:33
The six TacSoft troopers don their EVA gear, just in case the environment in the strange ship was unfriendly. Checking their seals and comms, they shoulder their EM Mass Driver rifles and climb through the umbilicus. The hatch closes behind them and repressurizes.

Coming to the hatch of the Scout, they enter and close it behind them, making certain it's sealed. The 7'9" average troopers look around in the access hatchway.
21-03-2004, 07:45
Hearing the hatch close, Xan'Ti, with a normal Officers Uniform on, walked to the enterence-way to the Hatch, standing about 7'7" overall, which was rare among Komodren Males for height, since most Komodren overall averaged over or at eight feet. His head turned a side to allow one eye a good view, which he didn't NEED to do but did it for the act of intimidation, and looked back straight at them.

"Graaa...," he growled, sighing at the same time in relief, "I see you are indeed Reptilian." Xan'Ti allowed himself to stand aside and did a welcoming motion with hands, "Come, Brethren, come. You say you wish to inspect, then com. If you wish to talk also, that is welcomed."

Beveri took a little peak around the corner, her snout poking out, then sliding away to go and sit back in the Co-Pilots seat.
Sakkra
21-03-2004, 08:02
"Conversation distracts from the task at hand." The lead trooper ran some tests on the environs, the data spilling over his visor, and found them satisfactory. "The air is breathable. Remove EVA helmets."

He removes his, and the others do the same. Four have neck crests that raise up halfway, while two have red and purple dewlaps under their jaws.

Cocking his head at a tilt, the lead trooper inspects the Komodren before him. "You are a military being, yes?" He then salutes, left hand splayed over chest. "Corporal Greell of the Sakkran Stellar Navy." The rest of the group does the same. They then take up an 'at ease' position. "By your leave, we would inspect the cargo holdings and command center of your craft."
21-03-2004, 08:16
With a quick motion that only trained beings could have, Xan'Ti cames to attention, salutes by balling his right fist and literally slamming it into his chest, it easily echoing, then lowering his head slightly as his eyes closed.

"Concession I submit to my Fellow Brethren of the Sakkra Stellar Navy," a moment allowed to past, "I am Major Xan'Ti of the Colonial Rudavian Space Forces, and welcome you aboard to do as you see fit."

He remained in this position for a few moments before standing to attention, then sliding almost against the wall, standing as if he were now a Guard, and motioning with his right arm for them to go as they please, bowing his head once more in respect.
Sakkra
21-03-2004, 08:52
The Corporal mimcs the bow, while his eyes never leave the Komodren before him. His tongue flicks the air a bit, tasting the scents within.

"We would inspect the cargo area first. Lead on, if you would. You Troopers. Look alive!" The cadre of troopers snap to attention and follow.
21-03-2004, 08:59
Shurgging then walking a short ways to the hatch leading to the Modified Cargo Bay of the Buran Shuttle, Xan'Ti opens the door, an entire crew of eight Birthright Human (Humans with pure Rudavian Bloodline) and Komodren sit at eight consoles each monitering everything from Sensors to Long-Range Pulses.

"This is why this shuttle is called Scout. You may look as you please."

He moves out of the way to allow the troops in, the crew within going about their duties.
Sakkra
21-03-2004, 09:06
Two of the TacSoft soldiers stand at attention at the door of the cargo bay, while the other four, including the Corporal, move through the bay. Cursory examinations of the control panels and the crew reveal that it is as the Major has said. Some members of the squad linger a bit more, examining the Komodren a bit more closely.

"Very well. It is as you say. The command center, please? I need to look at your sensor logs to make certain that certain information does not get disseminated."
21-03-2004, 09:15
Xan'Ti moves to the Komodren at the end of the consoles, and suddenly speaks in a language unheard of before now, a mix of a low rumbling growl and a clear hiss.

Te'Dana xji iusha, he says slowly to the fellow Komodren sitting, Pish'ta'An va er'tra'nishaji Com'tra?

Turning her head to the Major behind her, the female Komodren speaks the language in a softer tone, almost tranquil.

Nix'ti'ji Uj'ma'Con'ti, Shi'Jah Wken Xan'Van'Ji'Ouj

"Thank you," he responds, the motions for the Corporal to follow him, "This way, back here is the Main Processing Unit for all the Observations and what-not."

He walks back into a short hall-way, his tail swaying lightly as he looks for the door he was told to look for. He never went back here, so he had to ask, but not where they could understand WHAT he asked for. He opened a door and entered, coming out a minute later with a full record of recorded Observations by every signal sent, every type of signal, and every detail of what was recieved and/or observed.

Stopping almost in front of the Corporal, and handing the papers to him, he nodded. "Would you care to stay to talk, Brethren? As we live and work on this ship whom has never let us down, you may also walk and accept our Home as your Home anytime you wish."
Sakkra
21-03-2004, 15:20
The Corporal looks over the papers. Solar flare accounts, latent radiation levels, planetary classifications,Ah, the Great Asteroid Belt. Let's see....orbital AU, belt length, average asteroid mass .... hmmmmm....I guess they didn't have time to look too deeply.

He hands the papers back to the Major, and nods. "There is nothing here I need to be concerned over. We will stay and talk for a time, but I must communicate with the base first." He presses a clawed hand on a node on his ear comm, and a small mic shoots out.

"Harr! Hrrou sshrror!" His throat pulses, and his tympanum just to the rear and low on his throat wobbles slightly, as do the tympanum of his party. Those with sharp hearing would hear an underlayer of sound below the audible level. After speaking into his mic, a short period of time passes, and then "Hrarrsss." He depresses the node, and the mic slides back into its housing.

"It is good, We will talk for a moment."
22-03-2004, 03:09
He nodded, everyone had a way of communication and their's was no expection. Pushing aside the loud tone of the voice, sort of, it was just another language perhaps. Xan'Ti had many questions for these beings, especially many about their race. Yet, however, it would not be asked too deeply into, only if they allowed.

The papers in his hands Xan'Ti set them on one of the Observation Consoles desk, coming back out and standing in front of the Corporal.

"I am glad you have time, as I have many questions in which I wish no disrespect, of course. I believe you know by now the Komodren's wanting at finding another Reptilian Race. Seeing that you are the first to ever be found with one of these searches, I believe that one, our mission is successful at both finding you Non-Aggressive and Reptilian, and two, finding that we are not the only Reptilians in the Universe." He sighed with a "Graaa" sound as he looked behind him at the Officers Mess, which took up most of the room of the shuttle in front, but not so much to make it cramped.

He looked back at the Corporal. "Do you wish to sit anywhere or shall we stand in conversation? The Officers Mess has a sizeable table that is both used for meetings, which are almost never done, and for times when the crew of Officers wishes to eat either alone or with their fellow Officers instead of in the Crews Mess."

Xan'Ti waited.

The Coproal looks at his soldiers, and back at the Major. "The Officer's Mess will do. My squad will accompany, yes? And there are many ears here. It will be distracting at best."

They are eager. Perhaps too eager. I must guage for some sign of ulterior motive.
22-03-2004, 03:55
Xan'Ti was as excited as a hatchling by this, his very soul keeping this childish happiness from expressing itself fully. Komodren did not look normal jumping around the place. Allowing a smile to expose itself on his snout, Xan'Ti motioned for them to follow and opened the hatch to the Officers Mess, left it wide open for them to feel safe, as he did sense suspison, and walked at the end of a rectangular table with eight seats, three on each side and one on each end. Xan'Ti sat at the other end, away from the enterence. Motioning with his hand once more for them to sit, he nodded acknowledgement to the all.

"Sit, Reptilian Brethren. As I said, our Home is your Home, as this is how we treat all people whom are live outside Nodea Rudav."

A cursory examination of the chairs finds them lacking in any foreign technologies. The six sit on the chairs, and move their tails a bit into the notches made for tailed creatures.

Greell looks briefly at their surroundings, searching for slightly-less-than-obvious surveillance devices, then turns to the Major.

"You stated you have questions. We will answer as best as we can, as long as it does not delve into the sensitive. Afterwards, there may be questions for you, yes?"
22-03-2004, 04:43
Xan'Ti Nodeed, "Yes, I hope so. Would not be fair for me, afterall, to ask you a question and you not ask me."

Xan'Ti, for the first time since they arrived, allowed an instictive pulse to move his hand and slide the strands of hair-like material, which were only a few and hardly could be considered hair, back to go down the back of his neck so as not to have it disturb his vision. Clearing his throat and cupping both hands as he set them on the table, almost like a Company Manager ready for a Meeting, he started with the Corporal.

"If I may ask you, Corporal, do you know exactly how your race began and if it had a fellow race, like the Birthirght Humans of our Past and Present, going along the long path of time?" He noticed a look from one of the soldiers, and immedietly knew what he ment, "Oh, and no, the Birthright Humans and us Komodren have set forth rules to never cross-breed.....which can't happen anyway."

He didn't explain what he ment by "Which can't happen anyway." They had to know that younglings, when in love even with another race, will seek companionship. He sighed, waiting for their answer.

Greell nods his head slightly, and leans back a bit in his chair. "The Tomes detail this, in actuality. All are required to know our people's history."

"In earliest recorded history, the Sakkrans were made up of four separate sub-species. These were the Deep Ones, the Skulkers, the Burrowers and the Grass-Walkers. Millenia after millenia of inter-breeding between the sub-species created a homogynous species, which is what you see before you. Each of the dominant traits of the subspecies has survived, albeit in a diluted form, in us."

"There were no companion races, though. Yes there have been humans who visited our lands in those early times, but their goals were to enslave and to exploit, which we would not agree to. Much fighting and shedding of blood was done, and in the end we emerged victorious."

The trooper with the puzzled look, one PFC Ssoorr, was analyzing the statements being made, the question that was answered, and the response. He speaks of love for one of another species? How odd. Love as in comradery, or love in a carnal fashion? Her nictitating membranes close over her eyes at this, and her dewlap pulses a moment.
22-03-2004, 08:05
Xan'Ti seemed highly interested in the Corporals telling of Sakkran Past, in which Xan'Ti listened yet had a view of most of the other Sakkrans actions during the telling, one of which had been a female-like Sakkran closing a membrane and some other action, possibly with her deulap. Truly not knowing if the Sakkran was a female, just using common sense at the figure, Xan'Ti nodded as the Corporal ended his Sakkran Past, thus Xan'Ti smiled as he began.

"Amazing," started Xan'Ti slowly, "I am astonished that inter-breeding could have such great results, if I may compliment to all Sakkra, I believe thats what you called yourself." He bowed his head to the Corporal slightly in a concessionary manner, "I am honored to be in the presense of such a Reptilian Brethren as the Sakkra."

Looking back up with a smile, he seemed almost over-joyed. "Hearing the History of a race so similar to ours is amazing, especially the way you came to be now." He nodded to all the Sakkra in the room, each time he bowed his head at the same time as closing his eyes with the soul purpose of showing Respect and Honor to the Reptilian Brethren.

"Shall I explain Komodren past?"
Sakkra
22-03-2004, 08:12
The Corporal nods in a 'Go ahead' fashion. This should prove of interest. At least this one's eagerness is explainable.

Ssoorr makes a note of the cursory scrutinization she had received. He is guaging our responses. I wonder how much of this tale is stimulus testing? I must be cautious.
22-03-2004, 08:40
Taking a last direct look at the female Sakkra, he looked back at the Corporal and began, the hair-like strands from his head moving slightly as he looked.

"Long Past Ages have written well in the Never-Ending book of Motherworld Earth of one lost Land called Ancient Rudavia. There Komodren emerged from a mysterious birth, the only hint to Komodren Evolution-" he grunted at the end of 'Evolution' "-...is the Earthly Komodo Dragon. Many, many decades past before Komodren met first with the Birthright Humans. Unusual they were in the fact that, when looked closely upon, their Bloodline originates DIRECTLY and ONLY from within the lands of Ancient Rudavia," he gave a motion of his hand, "Thus the word 'Birthright'."

"Even as this new race became like Brethren to Komodren Kind, arguments over Inter-Species Mating came up after many decades of open relationships, which is directly recorded to have been factual. Hence then that Birthright Human and Komodren came together seriously for the first time since their meeting, desicussed the problems and ways of solutions, and brought forth the Ancient Law of Rudavia, bringing forth the rule that 'No Komodren and/or No Birthirght Human Shall come together with the purpose of Sacred Companionship.'"

He stopped for a moment or two to gather his thoughts, then continued.

"After this Historic Meeting of the Highest Leaders of Komodren and Birthirght Human Clans, it came to pass through the many centuries as technology advanced on how well Birthright Human and Komodren worked together, gathered together, worshiped together, and many other togethers. It had already been formed in the souls of these two Species a Brethrenhood, so at the time of the Great Gathering it was declared, officially, the Komodren and Birthright Human Kind were in a Brethrenhood, so strong that none could break but the two Species themselves."

Smiling at this, he breathed deeply, then continued.

"Skipping forth many more centuries, past MANY Historical Declerations and Proclamations, after the Rudavian Imperial Empire took control of our lands, and to the Pre-Modern ages, we see now that both Komodren and Birthright Human gather once more, but this time with arms bared, the Warrior Spirit flaring. Hence began the Ten Year Rebellion, upon which was made official a free and independent Nation called Nodea Rudav which controlled all of Ancient Rudavia."

"Thus after the Ten Year Rebellion did the Imperial Empire cease to exist, that both Birthright Human and Komodren Souls strengthened the Brethrenhood Bond that made us Rudavian, even Birthright Human and Komodren were allowed to be together, so far as they did not decalre Sacred Companionship, the equalivent of this 'Marriage' of outside Humans. Passing on just two more Centuries to after the destruction of Ancient Rudavia, caused by a rouge meteor which came out of no where, we find ourselves, both Komodren and Birthright Human, still bonded in Brethrenhood by our Warrior Spirits that freed us from the Imperial Empire of Rudavia, in the Nova Kretani Solar System on a new Homeworld called Novar."

He sat back, comfortable.

"Anyway, I tried to make it short. Sorry for the time taken." Xan'Ti sighed looking at the female Sakkra again, already noticing her odd actions different from the other Sakkrans, but turning back his attention to the Corporal. "Komodren Kind has never been able to find traces of its prior existance on Earth, in any way or form expect by the Komodo Dragon. This is why we are so questing to find other Reptilian Brethren among the stars, perhaps finding where we came from."
Sakkra
22-03-2004, 08:51
The Corporal listens to the historical tale intently. When it is completed, his neck-crest raises halfway, and the nostrils positioned on top of his head let out a sound like whiff.

"So, if I follow correctly, it is possible for the mammal Birthright Human and the reptilian Birthright Komodren, if I have that correct, to breed among each other. But an edict does not allow for that? And it seems emotion runs strong between your two lines. It is not so in the Empire of Sakkra."

"Genetic blocks prevent us from breeding with Mammal, Bird and Amphibian. Sometimes even other Reptiles will not produce hatchlings. That we were able to breed, in ancient times, among each other was discovered to be due to minor evolutionary differences, yet the fundamental DNA and chromosome structure was the same."

"How is it that this comes to pass, that Komodren and Human could, in a possible scenario, bear young? And would they be live, or hatched?"

22-03-2004, 09:05
Realizing he has been misunderstood about this part of Birthright Human and Komodren, Xan'Ti shakes his head.

"No, no, no My Reptilian Brethren, I only say what I hear! Komodren Females cannot possibly be impregnated by a HUMAN, HA!" He laughs, his head tilting back as if looking up, eyes closed in a very friendly laugh. "Oh," he says looking back at the Corporal, "You have mistaken me completely. I am sorry, forgive me."

Shaking his head with a wierd smile on his face, looking back at the Corporal, he continues.

"Allow me to say that if a Komodren Male falls in love with a Human Female that Komodren Male cannot impregnate the Birthright Human Female, it is impossible to do so. Its a simple explanation, but it boils down to the fact that they simply CANNOT be impregnated, the same if a Komodren Female and a Birthright Human Male come together for a time, it cannot happen."

"Indeed relationships between a Male Birthright Human and a Female Komodren, or Female Birthright Human and Komodren Male, do occur. However, this is rather rare expect in situations when both that male and female of either species are exposed to one-anothers likeable traits that ceal the missing peace in a Inter-Species Relationship, which mainly happens either in Schooling, very rare however, and in the Colonial Armed Forces, which is rare also."

"What you see before you, and all others like me, ARE indeed Komodren by Soul and Blood, no Birthright Human would dare take away that. Indeed that is the single best reason WHY Birthright Humans and Komodren came together to discuss the situation, ending with that Sacred Companionship to not be allowed to be happen between either sex of either species if they come together. I didn't mean some child or hatchling came to be, no, Komodren are a Honorable Race, only able to call Birthright Humans Honorable for the fact that they act not like Normal Humans, but more like Brethren Souls, meaning Brothers or Sisters in a way."

He sat back in his chair, waiting.

The Corporals neck crest goes flat again after hearing the explanation. "Ah, I see now. I was assimilating information incorrectly." Both sets of eyelids, both the transparent nictitating membrane and the exterior eyelids, close briefly. "My apology for the misunderstanding."

"So it seems your poeple have reached a harmonious symbiosis with the Birthright Humans. Commendable. We find that many humans behave irrationally in random circumstances, and so we tend to keep an arm's length approach to them until we are proven otherwise."

"It seems the emotion known as 'Love' plays a major part in your bondings. Interesting indeed. For our people, the abstract concept is known, and observed. But it is not a common thing for us. For a long time, survival, and the strongest genetic possibilities, were the driving reason behind our bondings. Now that we have grown strong and prospered, the abstract enters into the bondings more and more each day."

"Do you have other questions for us? Feel free to ask any of the other soldiers here. They can answer as well as I."
22-03-2004, 09:32
"Well, just to say briefly that Love has nothing to do with our Brethrenhood, it is the common bond of our Trust in each others resolve, each others ways, and each others Soul that leads us together. Now I''m not saying we will jump on each other for no reason, No! We have sanity, you know, and I am pretty sure that any Birthright Human would NOT like a Komodren to pounce on them just to play around. That, my friend, as I am told, hurts."

He laughed briefly, "Anywho....yes, talk to any one of your Team. I would like to do that, first with you-" looking at the Female Sakkra that acted oddly "-there. I believe you are a Female, no? You seem to be acting strangly from your other Fellow Sakkrans, as I have been observing to be sure not to insult. Yet, as you act, no others act the same. Is there something wrong?"

Ssoorr tilts her head back a bit, her chin raising up slightly. "Well, Major Xan'Ti, I am a bit different from the others here. Yes, I am female, and not long out of the Cadet status. This is all quite new to me, and I have trouble keeping emotion down during a mission."

"The other soldiers here, especially the Corporal, are already battle-tested. I am here to learn."
23-03-2004, 04:27
Xan'Ti nods, "Emotion, hmm? I see," Xan'Ti nodded to the female, "I give you the best of hopes for you to make it as high as you can go, then, Cadet."

Looking at the others for a second, sighing, then looking down at the table-top, Xan'Ti allowed the clear membrane on his eyes to slide together slowly, his eye-lids half closed for a second or two. Looking back at the Corporal with eyes fully seeable and eye-lids open, Xan'Ti nodded.

"I see you have a good bunch of Warriors here, even if the Female there-" motioning to the one whom he asked the question to with a nudge of his snout "-is a Cadet. I see your kind as amazing, Corporal, and I can only stand in awe at the way one can look directly into one of your eyes and clearly see the Determination of the Soul." He slowly bowed his head to the Corporal, then looked back up to him, "I bow in Honor to your race, Corporal. You all have set forth a good lasting impression on me, perhaps even my crew when I sit and enjoy something to eat or, most likely, off-time."

He sighed, "I believe I have had almost all my answeres completely answered by just looking through the eyes of you, Corporal, and your fellow Sakkrans. Amazing it is to see such a Warrior Spirit and such a Flaming Soul of Determination and Vigilance. I am, again, truly honored." He sat back, "Now, may I ask if you have any questions?"

23-03-2004, 04:58
The Corporal steeples his hands together, and thinks a moment. "Having looked around at the ship, and the systems here, it is obvious that you will make technological leaps soon. So questions regarding this are not needed. Explanations regarding your people, culture and history have been made, and so these are also not needed."

"However, we would like to know if you find yourselves allied to other nations. This question is for our security, you should realize."
23-03-2004, 05:17
Xan'Ti thinks, then speaks. "Well," he started, "I am not the expert on these things, but we have Allies back on Motherworld Earth. Having been forced off Motherworld Earth after the rouge meteor hit and caused an apocalyptic chain of events...." Xan'Ti trailed off for a moment, the continued, "Ancient Rudavia is Gone now and we had been saved by Alien Intervention. Without these aliens, we wouldn't be here. Thus, by not declaring our Motherworld Allies invalid, in which we would never do, and alling with this new Alien Race and becoming in its Alliance, but staying in one called the Allied Socialist Defense Union which was, reportedly, founded back on Motherworld Earth, we have many allies indeed."

Silence, then Xan'Ti spoke again, "However, due to our location in which no one knows but its name, our new Home System of Nova Kretani and our new Homeworld of Novar, no allies have, yet, interupted our Peaceful rebuilding of our lives and culture, which didn't take long to get to a point where we concentrated on other matters, in which this Shuttle is one of those achievements."

"Yet, this Shuttle, as I am told, is one of the origional of the Russian Space Shuttles called Buran that be built from plans and such. We saved what we could when we were saved from total extinction, so most of what we had is still here, as you can see." He sighed, "Indeed we started over when we established the beginnings of the colony of Novar, when we first arrived in the Nova Kretani Solar System. Intern, by doing so, no allies knew where we were expect these Aliens that saved us, and yes they are a real Power. However, they have not visited, nor anyone else for that matter. So even as we have allies, in which we no longer have the resources to visit our Earth Allies, no one knows the exact location to find us or disturb us."

He nodded, "Indeed that is why I am able to speak with our first encounter with Reptilian Brethren. For it not we being in solitude, I fear our dream of finding more Reptilian Brethren would have been ruined." Xan'Ti smiled, a short, jolly, laugh, "Yet we have found you, and that dream has become more of a reality then we imagined possible."

Xan'Ti looked back to the female Sakkra for a moment, back at the Corporal and nodding to him as a sign he would now talk for a second to the female, and spoke. "Female Cadet, you said earlier you were different from your fellow Sakkrans, why is this so?"

Looking to the Corporal for permission, he nods his assent, and she returns her sidelong gaze at the Major.

"There are those among my people who are a bit more in tune with the mental plane of being than others. Normally they are approached by The order to become Neophytes. It is an honor to be included in their hallowed ranks. However, I felt my 'talent' would be better served in the service of the defense of the Empire."

"I absorb latent emotions from those around. Sometimes it is a bit heady."
23-03-2004, 05:47
He nodded, "I see, well, I suppose we might have something in common, Komodren and Sakkra, those Sakkra that have abilities." Bowing his head slightly in thanks to the Cadet, he looked back at the Corporal.

"Komodren are keen to such topics. Every Komodren, Hatchling or Elder, has the common ability to use.....energy of sorts with concentration. I would show you this, but I am unsure if I would disrespect you, or your team. Normally we arn't allowed to bring this subject up.." he looks down for a second, then back up, "But you are Reptilian Brethren, only you are able to say yes or no."

Xan'Ti looked down, this ability was common in all Komodren, yet concentration and a strong soul was needed to be able to experience it. Xan'Ti had learned how to tap into his energy, feeling as if it was from within, and could generate the flowing energy inside to physical or visual form outside. However, Komodren rarely exposed such things, even to Birthright Human. This ability was forbidden shown to outsiders, but these were Reptilian Brethren, and they had types like Komodren, so what was the harm?

The Corporal shakes his head in a negative fashion. "If those who you have been with all the millenia rarely see what it is you do, we would consider it dishonorable to them if you would show this to us. I almost understand your eagerness in the face of what you have been searching for, but do not let this cloud your judgement."

"If the Birthright Humans learned of you showing us 'Talent' that they were never privy to, what will that do to your relationship?"
23-03-2004, 07:01
"Well, actually, Birthright Humans are the only species to freely know of such things. Even as they are unable, for some odd reason, to do such talents, they are content with what they are and whom they are. They use Meditation, as do we, and are good at Concentration, as we are at times. In tern, even as we spoke the secret long ago, or as history tells us of present, the Birthright Humans were briefly suprised by this, but in the end happy to see some other people, even if another species, able to enjoy the art of Concentration and Meditation." He smiled, "That is how Birthright Humans are odd from others, as they enjoy Meditation, Clear Minds, Positive Results, and Good Concentration on subjects. So, when they found us and some of our people with these 'problems', they assisted with the art of Meditation, which we did know but not so much of long before, and helped the Komodren Race overcome most of the mental blocks to reach our hidden abilities."

"Intern, you will usually find a Komodren with a Birthright Human attempting to bring forth these beings potentials. Komodren Kind has long seen the potential in these Birthright Humans, thus after they helped us, and still do with our Younglings, Elders, and especially Middle-Ages, we are attempting to repay the help not only by showing them our knowledge of such things, but by combining what they know and what we know to help them reach some level in which we can go to a next phase. Some Birthright Humans have successfully grasped the ability greatly, in which many years of hard work of Meditation, Teaching, and Training were involved. However, since we are able to tap into them at a Youngling age, then only a small portion I believe, we wish to allow them the same thing, if they so wish to."

"Interesting. Interesting indeed." A soft *bweep* is heard on the Corporal's earbud, and he places a hand on it, extending the mic once again. His eyes roll to the side as he listens. The communication is ended with "Harr!" and the mic receeds yet again.

"It seems that duty calls. It is time for our patrol of the edges of the heliopause near the Oort Cloud. I will relay the information you have given to my superiors. In the meantime, you are allowed free passage with escort, if you wish."
23-03-2004, 07:20
Xan'Ti tilts his head, "Where would we be escorted to, exactly? Oh, and thank you for having this very interesting conversation, if not amazing."

Xan'Ti stands, motioning towards the exit as he respectfully allows them to exit first.

He bowed his head lightly as they left, the airlock closed and Major Xan'Ti walked to the Pilots Seat and waited a few moments, warned the crew through ship-wide speaker, then pressed the button to initiate the Sub-Space Drive. They had another mission also, and that was to check in on Sol. Yet, however, they would be returning home this jump to inform Colonial Space Command of their encounter with these Reptilian Brethren called Sakkra, friendly in all aspects.

Xan'Ti sighed as he watched the bluish layer of Sub-Space engulf the Modified Buran Space Shuttle, at least up to the end of the cockpit windows.

Then, the Scout enterd Theoretical Sub-Space in a flash of brilliant light.

The Jugg Matches have now begun!

In the Sol holdings of the Empire of Sakkra, the island of Kastaa comes to life with the festivities currently being arranged. Military units, civilian Peace Officers and Border Patrol, Emergency Response teams and University Bands are gathered at several locations. Kiosks are set up, which will offer a large variety of goods, from food-stuffs to exquisite jewelery.

In all the hotels, B&Bs and inns across the island, reservations are taken, banquets are prepared and staff is on hand in force. Lights and streamers as well as large, orbate banners, are hung from anyplace that will hold them.
25-03-2004, 04:32
Without knowing what lie in orbit around their new-found Reptilian Brethren's Homeworld, a small distortion, barely visiable, grew. It lit with a brilliant bluish shine, beams of light shot through gaps in the bluish layer of light that formed, quickly, into the shape of some kind of ship. Then, five seconds after appearing and forming, the light reached its climax as it engulfed the form of the ship in the brightest shine of bluish-gold as a ship took the place of the lights origin miliseconds later, making the Dark-Side of the planet literally shine for that brief moment.

Making sure its appearence was brief, as it was a highly classified space ship, the form of the darkened space ship launched something as a docking bay opened and close, then as quickly as it came, it left in the same, but Highly Blusih-White, flash of Brilliant Light.

On every possible communications medium in Sakkra, the Emperor holds an address.

"Compatriots, friends and revelers. The Birth Pits of the Black Swamp have just announced the 2 billionth Sakkran born. This being will be adopted into the Royal Line, and will be as my own hatchling."

The image cuts to a steamy, fog-covered swamp, with natural gas bubbles making a *pop* sound once in a while. Mangrove trees and Paroo trees, roots breaking the water level, are thick here, with moss draping off their limbs.

A female Tender, dressed in green robes, holds a freshly-hatched Sakkran, with its embryonic sac still attached to it's stomach. It's still semi-encased in its egg, which is a powder blue color with black specks.

After a few moments, the hatchling's eyes open, and it stands on all four limbs. It then scurries up the Tender's arms, and peers with its over-sized yellow eyes at the camera crew, and makes a loud Urk urk sound.

View switches back to the Emperor. "In 20 years, when she is mature enough to leave the Birth Pits, she will come to the Kargaahl Imperial Complex, where she will be educated and raised as my own child. In that time, a name will be chosen for her. Now, I hereby declare the National Holiday of Jugg, commenced!"
25-03-2004, 05:24
A Modified Buran Space Shuttle was already on its way to the Light-Side of the Sakkran Homeworld, its speed faster than normally would so it could reach it in time. No worries, however, as the MBSS had an excellent system of retro-rockets, ect.

Onboard was the Leader of the Colony of Nodea Rudav, Kata'Re, in which had just finished watching a broadcast from the surface. Smiling somewhat as he sat in the leather chair, stationed in his personal quarters onboard the Modified Buran Space Shuttle specificaly for transporting the Leader of Nodea Rudav, Kata'Re stood and walked slowly away from the chair, his tail sliding easily off the seat, sliding down the front of the recliner-like chair to the ground and trailing its main body as it slid on the ground, then lifted by muscles in the tail slightly off the ground.

Kata'Re took a few paces before he was at his personal desk, sitting in the leather seat with ease, tail sliding behind him to the ground through the opening, which looked much like any Human chair would, the opening anyway. Sighing as he felt the Shuttle hit the atmosphere so soon, he stood, only to be greeted by a violent shock of the entire shuttle, in which he instantly headed from his quarters, up to the bay exit to the cockpit, and entered, closing the bay door behind him as he walked fastly to the Pilot and Co-Pilots seats.

"Whats wrong with the Modified Buran," Kata'Re asked to the Pilot. He looked up to Kata'Re, grinned, then looked back out of the shuttles windows at the flame engulfing the shuttle.

"Well, sir," the pilot started to explain, he was birthright human, "I believe we have a problem with her, and she seems to be struggling to keep on course even as she enters the atmosphere."

Kata'Re nodded calmly, looking to the Komodren Female of a Co-Pilot, she concentrating on monitering and doing whatever she could to help in this situation. Not needing to be told, Kata'Re sat down in the seat just beside the pilots, strapping in comfortably allowing his tail to slide through the seats end. Another violent shock made the shuttle jolt once more, then, even as there was a bit of shaking as it entered the atmosphere, Kata'Re could feel the shuttle, and knew as he flew some, having serious problems with either stabilzation, trejectory, entery, or many other problems. He couldn't seem to pick one for the problem, as he wasn't much skilled in the subject of Buran-Class Russian Space Shuttle Engineering.

Th pilot looked back at the Leader of the Colony of Nodea Rudav, silent for a moment, and said, "Its gonna be a rough ride," before looking back with a nod. The Co-Pilot too a look at the Leader called Kata'Re, nodded, the looked back forward. It was then that some kind of alarm sounded, and after a few seconds of attempting to make it stop through methods of which Kata'Re couldn't figure out, the Pilot looked back at the Leader, Kata'Re.

"Leader Kata'Re, I believe we have a serious situation. This shuttle is giving all she's got to keep herself together, and she's doin a mighty fine job." He looked back at the Pilots panel, then back at Kata'Re as the Co-Pilot looked too, "Well, it seems our landing isn't going to be good. Might as well say that its been an Honor to meet you, Leader Kata'Re. Your a good leader, sir, and we'll do our best to get you safe. I suggest you get to a saf-"

Suddenly Kata'Re cut him off, "Suggestion noted, General. However, if I am to die today-" he looked at both of them "-I will die knowing that I fled not from the danger, not to ever leave the side of My People, only to leave this existance with Honor, Respect, Dignity, and Absolution."

They both looked for a moment as the Shuttle shoom again, alarms sounding once more. Bowing their heads and closing their eyes, a sign of Respect and Acknowledgement, they lifted and looked back at their respective panels to attempt to do whatever they could.

The shuttle was on the Light Side of the planet, entering as a flaming ball of fire over the Capitol and heading for a collision with the planet they came to visit.

"What are our options?"

"Blast it, but then that's firey shrapnel on our heads. Let it crash, but then that's a big mess. Use the EM Launcher to attempt to swerve the missile over the water, where it will crash in a far less dramatic display. If it's metallic, it'll also buffer the speed of thier descent."

"We'll do with the third option. And get Emergency response Teams over to the crash area."

The EM Peashooter launch facility manages to swiftly get a lock on the incoming projectile. He looked at his Co-Pilot because, as he knew, she knew that if the speed wasn't slowed soon, the Sonic Booms mixed with the heat friction would rip the shuttle to pieces.

Suddenly, all shuttle systems, what was protected and online, went off for a brief instant as a slight deceleration was felt, so swift and sudden that all could almost be thrown from their seats if not for them strapped in. Shocked, but not too much, both the Pilot and Co-pilot went back to their duties as the power came back online, what could come back online, and both realized that something was terribly wrong with the structure of the shuttle itself.....

---------------------------------------

The beam of dark blue electrictity with seemingly bolts of lightning circling its entirety made a direct hit on the fireball, the resulting blast strong enough to force some flames away as the object slowed enough for them to see a vehicle, some kind of air craft. Upon anyone instantly viewing the object just 8,000 feet above the Sakkra Homeworlds surface, they would see the beam hitting the fireball and an entire are with the left wing broken off and falling back. Then, anyone would notice the sudden flash of light as the Miniture Hydrogen Engines exploded with a fury.

---------------------------------------

"Holy Sh-," started the Pilot as the explosion took place as expected, the end of the shuttle had to of been blown to pieces. Checking the small moniter that made up the display for the structure of the shuttle, the Pilot realized that not only did the end of the shuttle, which held the engines in place, was gone, but half of the shuttle itself was missing, the left wing totally destroyed and the right having only a small portion left.

What they didn't realize was that the sensors to detect the structure of the shuttle had been fried by the explosion from the end to the modified bays meeting to the cockpit area. Meaning that, if one saw from the ground, the engine area had indeed been torn, but not completely, as the other Hydrogen Engines held firmly intact, but not operational, and only the left end-side of the engine area had been blown off, up to the left side of the bay area had been exposed to the elements, and, with the computer having had something correct, the left wing being destroyed and blown off.

So, as the Modified Buran Space Shuttle continued towards the surface, now heading for, as the pilot glimpsed, a large lake area. No longer did a fireball engulf the shuttle, only did the invisible air flow across its surface. As the Shuttle feel, the feet lowered, and at 2,345 feet before the surface met the shuttle up close and personal, the Pilot looked at the Co-Pilot then to the Shuttles soul passenger, the Leader called Kata'Re whom was Komodren. Looking back with the knowledge that both were fine, or so they seemed to be as they returned his short gaze of a look at them, the feet kept lowering, the blue water of the large lake closer and closer every second.

------------------------------------

As the Modified Buran Space Shuttle reached just 100 feet from the surface, the Pilot, Co-Pilot, and Kata'Re closed their eyes and sat back in the seats so as not to be subseptable to any jolting. Kata'Re felt the Shuttle hit the water, skid some yards as it began to sink into the water, and skid to a halt just at the other end of the large lake, the Shuttle turned on its left side and somewhat burried in the underwater earth that made up to shore, four overall feet into the debths of the shore water.

With a groan, all occupants had been knocked out by the violent shaking. The Pilot had been slightly injured, blood apparent somewhat on his face. The Co-Pilot was the same, as she was shaken about too. However, Kata'Re and the straps had cut loose from the stress it should have been able to handle, his still-breathing body throwd to the left corner of the end of the cocpit area in the shuttle.

OOC: Man, it's not a lake. It's the ocean. You're on Earth, after all.

IC: Klaxons sounded all over Eeorouh Spaceport as the definite outline of a really dilapidated craft was seen. E.R.T. EI crafts were the first scrambled, not needing any pilots to prep them. V.T.O.L. turbo-thrust fans lifted them off the ground, and sped them toawrds the crash zone.

http://www.5amfunnies.com/sakkra/weaponry/sweeperpatrol.jpg

A pair of Overlord O-62 heavy M.A.U.s, modified for civilian service, were launched soon afterwards. Painted in bright reds and yellows, these crafts would serve to physically search for survivors and wreckage, and use manipulating arms to carry what they could to land.

The Overlord, but no weapon mounts for civilian service.

Running sensor scans, they followed the trail of debris from the shore of the volcanic island that served as a spaceport, into the ocean.

The automated Sweeper drones would be first to reach the crash area. Hovering about, they sent automated comm messages across all bands into the site where the crash may or may not have taken place.

Earth?! Wow, cool, lol. Surry bout that. :)

IC:

The Pilot awoke to hearing signals over the comm unit, and already his Co-Pilot had been awaken. Looking back they saw Leader Kata'Re against the back corner on the left side, and already they knew they were on their side somewhat, burried obviously in some underwater sand. Checking the moniter, it correctly states with what energy was left that they were up to the Shuttles right wing, which was intact, into ocean water.

Sighing, and pressing the comm button to reply with S.O.S. signals, they waited, for thats all they could do at this point.

It took the better part of a half hour or so, but the MAU Overlords managed to find the hovering Sweepers. Sensor info and coordinates were hacked from the drones to the MAU rescue units, as well as transmissions from beneath the ocean surface.

The MAU Rescue vehicles detach their turbo-thrust packs, and drop into the ocean like stones. Maneuvering jets, while effective in space, are far less effective under water. They do the job, however, in angling the MAU's descent to get as close to the source of the S.O.S. transmission as they could. This all takes about 20 minutes, and the Rescue vehicles find themselves about 500 meters below sea level.

Thermo-graphic sensors, IR displays and sonar pinging reveal the outline of the downed shuttle. Slowly the Overlords plod to the craft. A comm channel is opened, and one of the pilots attempts communication. "This is the Arclight calling shuttle craft. We have you in our sights. What is your status? Please respond." This is repeated until an answer is received.

In the meantime, they use their clawed hands to begin digging out the sand that covers most of the craft. Not too close to the vehicle, or they may puncture the hull. The other pilot keeps HQ updated as to their progress with GPS communications, and audio transmissions every minute.
25-03-2004, 07:38
It felt like forever, but finally the Comm came to life. A message was repeated after being recieved, so General Zanji allowed his Komodren assistant continue with Leader Kata'Re in an attempt to awake him. Clicking the button to respond, General Zanji sat back in the pilots seat and placed his legs against the wall to prevent himself from slipping.

"This is General Zanji of the Modified Buran Space Shuttle MBSS Colonial One, we hear you message and respond with urgency. Leader Kata'Re was flung from his seat and into the back of the cockpit wall, most likely injuries but he is still breathing."

"We read you MBSS Colonial One. Apprising HQ about your situation. Can you give me a status report? Life support, casualties if any?"

Meanwhile, the Sweeper drones relay the information back to E.R.T. HQ. A pair of Titan II transports is prepped for launch, bearing nano-tube tethers with which they expect to be able to haul the wreck out of the ocean. Depth and current strength is accounted for. The loadmasters aboard the transports instruct and supervise the nano-tube tethers being readied at the winches.

"No casulties, not yet, God Forbid any. Were glad to hear someone down here, believe this is Sakkran that speaks? Birthright Human here, with my Co-Pilot a Komodren and Leader Kata'Re Komodren also...so, basicly, the only danger is if they get hungry, heh, na, just kiddin. Anyway, Titanium Hull is holding firm, the dorr cealing the Bay from the cockpit is.....looks ok. So, we are in good shape, well, not the shuttle, perhaps not even our Leader."

He unpressed the mic, sighing as he looked at his fallen Komodren Brethren whom was the Leader.....of all the things that could of happened.....the leader.....

The Overlords continue excavating the shuttle until a good amount of it is freed from the sand that covered it. The pilot of the Overlord unit Arclight keeps up the chatter to keep emotions calm in the ship. "We copy that. Just to let you know, we got you out of the sea floor. Titan transports will be here soon, and they'll pull you out the rest of the way."

25 minutes after the preparations begun to get the Titan II transports off the ground, they lift off. Over 2500' length of nano-tube cabling is loaded onto each of the two crafts. Another half an hour, and they would be over the crash area where the Sweeper's GPS beacon is active.

In the meantime, several news-groups are beginning to make their way out to the crash site.
26-03-2004, 05:00
"Hope we didn't do anything wrong by this, couldn't help it anyways, but still, you know what I mean." General Zenji kept a view of the now half-awake Leader Kata'Re and his Co-Pilot, the female Komodren, that aided as best as she could the fallen Leader, talking in native Rudavian at times.

Feeling something jolt, General Zenji pressed the mic button. "Whats goin on out there," he asked.
Sakkra
26-03-2004, 05:18
The Arclight responds. "Seems some stone was propping up your ship. During excavation, we removed it, but it's no prob. The Judicator is now filling that task. If we moved you out of the hole while the stone was still there, there may have been a hull breach, and at this depth, that's not pretty."

The Titan II transports hover over the crash site, and winch down the nano-tube tethers. After about 15 minutes, the nano-tubing finds itself in the manipulator hands of the Arclight. "There's going to be a bit more jolting, but not to worry. We're on the case." Rabbit goes over the hole, around two or three times...heh heh. The Arclight extends four smaller waldo arms from the forearm casing, and begins wrapping the tethers around the ship while the Judicator keeps the craft propped up.

Overhead, news teams are in their vehicles, keeping a distance as to not interfere, The fact the Sweeper drones have their cannons aimed at them helps to this end. Audio and video footage is transmitted live over the news-feeds.
26-03-2004, 05:32
"Roger...and...hey, this is Earth, right? It looked kinda fimilar when I initiated Re-Entry." Something jolted again, this time it seemed more controlled than violent, thus General Zenji sepculated they were doing something. Before long some hissing sounds of some kinda steel rubbing against the Titanium was heard for awhile, then another small jolt, two large ones, and finally Zenji pressed the mic.

"I believe you might just have us with all were hearing in here.....Glad when we get out of here, heh."
Sakkra
26-03-2004, 05:44
The Arclight continues tying the craft in a sling-harness using the nano-tubing. After double and triple-checking all knots, clamps and fasteners, the waldo arms retract back into their housings. The Judicator radios up to the Titans that all is in readiness.

They slowly start giving some lift to the tethers until all the slack is taken. At the site, the tethers draw taught, but hold. The two Overlord suits release their hold on the craft, and it pitches just a little in their direction, then stops as the tethers do their job.

"Yep, you might be right, there. We're gonna be lifting you out. Strap yourselves in, and make sure nothing that could hurt you is unfastened."
26-03-2004, 05:50
Nodding at the end of the transmission, General Zaji Hamel told his Colonel Te'Za to help Leader Kata'Re onto what seat she could get him in, then all strapped in, and Leader Kata'Re held on before passing out again, but not falling of of his seat.

The Shuttle began to lift, and they waited....

26-03-2004, 06:04
The winches continued bringing in the line slowly. They were fighting the current under the ocean;s surface, so trying to wrk fast wouldn't do the job. The Titans moved a bit with the current to lessen the strain on the tethers.

Meanwhile, the Arclight and the Judicator watch the shuttle slowly rising, and then watch as it goes over their heads and out of range. Within 1 hour, the shuttle would breal the ocean's surface.

"Ummm...you know, Ghoou, that we jettisoned our lift packs when we got here, right?"

"Yep."

"Why did we do that?"

"Lift packs aren't water tight. We would've been stuck anyway."

"Damn. So..... looks like a nice day for a walk."

"Yep."

The Overlord suits turn slowly, and begin plodding back along the ocean floor to the Eeorouh Spaceport. If anyone overhears the transmissions between the two E.R.T. suits, they would hear a rousing rendition of "10,000 Bottles of Ale on the Wall".
26-03-2004, 06:29
The Modified Buran Space Shuttle broke the surface of the water, fifteen minutes later, inside the Shuttle, General Zeji felt a thump as it was settled upon some kind of surface, thus he opened the side hatch.....

Ambassador the Honourable James Grant steps down from the shuttle, looking slightly green. Charles Bishop and Catherine Ravon remain close behind him for support. "Don't worry, Ambassador," Catherine says soothingly. "It's over. You'll feel better in a little bit. We'll just get you to your stateroom and into bed as soon as we go through the motions here."

Grant nods slowly, trying to keep his inner ear from unbalancing too much and causing him to lose his lunch again. "Yes, yes of course. Matters of state take precedence over mere personal discomfort. Why, once in the Republic of Kai Lang I was taken ill with a most distressing case of dysentary. It was a challenge to reign it in, as it were, but I forced a smile and..."

The senior official continued to natter on about his intestinal fortitude long enough to forget his space sickness until they reached the Sakkra official designated to greet them. The official looked pleased (as far as reptilian expressions can be deciphered) and perhaps a little excited with regard to national pride. A faint scent of cinammon filled the air.

Unfortunately, it was enough to remind Grant of his stomach's complaints. He opened his mouth to make a quick, formal speech, then closed it again and turned green.

"Oh gods..."

He turned away and bent over as his stomach heaved once again. Charles rubbed his back consolingly as Catherine stepped up to take his place. "Please forgive the Ambassador," she began without preamble. "He had a rough flight."

"It would certainly appear that way. It is fortunate that the Kastaa Medical Facility is near, and we keep a team on retainer here. They have been summoned, and should be here .... ah! Here they are."

A team of six Med-Techs race up with a container and some diagnostic equipment. Using an extarnal diagnostic probe placed upon the head, readings come up on a small flat-screen display. "Post-flight vertigo. Reading imbalance in the inner-ear liquid levels. He should lay down and rest a bit, and the nausea will subside. In the meantime, give him this to drink. It will steel the nerves and aid in keeping nausea dowm."

From the container is produced a naxious blend of local herbs, which are mixed in a hot mug of water. It dissolves into the water, and the mug is offered to Catherine Ravon.

Catherine accepts the mug with a slight bow, and kneels to offer it to Grant. The ambassador nods weakly, but recoils at the smell. "By the Lady, that smells like toadstool soup! What are you doing, Catherine, trying to poison me?"

"Please, Ambassador," Charles implores as he strives to assist Grant in standing upright. "Our hosts have been gracious enough to attempt to assist. You wouldn't want to offend them by accusing them of poison, would you?" He winks to the Med Tech to play along.

"Sir, the mission requires you to be healthy," Catherine reminds him. "How can we carry on without you? We'd be lost. Drink this so you can represent the Empire with all the wit and flair you've always shown."

Charles gives her a grin and shakes his head.

"Yes, yes," Grant mutters, slowly accepting the cup. "For the Empire." He grimaces and drinks the liquid noisily, only a small trickle dribbling down his chin. Finally he lowers the cup and gasps. "Ah! Yes. The challenges I face in the service of the Emperor! But you know, it wasn't really all that bad. Certainly not nearly as bad as the time when..."

Catherine and Charles nod to the Sakkra official as they assist their rambling superior to his rooms for some rest. "We'll make formal introductions later, if you don't mind," Catherine suggests.

The official nods his deep-green head slowly. "Of course." As they make their way to the transports, he continues. "We have reserved the Ambassador suite at the Kastaa Resort for you all. There is an onsite hot spring, steam chambers and a number of other amenities."

A resplendent transport awaits the group as they exit the shuttleport. The vehicle conveys them to the resort, with the official giving a bit of the sight-seeing tour monologue. "Over there is the Bay of Hhlaar. Site of a massive battle involving some sea-going denizens and an entire town's citizenry. Very interesting, and odd at the same time. And over there....."
28-03-2004, 04:40
Leader Kata'Re was no where to be found on the transport, only the Pilot and Co-Pilot. Kata'Re had dissappeared once the Pilot opened the hatch and let some water in before getting to the surface, so, intern, he was now on some shore washed up. Hours had passed since the Modified Buran Space Shuttle had been craned to the surface of the ocean, yet it took God knew how long for Kata'Re to be washed on shore.

He had only a moment to think before he backed out as he attemptyed to stand. The last thought that ran through his mind, and spoke ouit as he thought aloud, was how he knew this was still Sakkra, from looking out the shuttle window and seeing the shore, and that he would possibly be saved somehow.

On the coastline of the Black Swamp, one of the Border patrol rides along on the back of a Guat, a massive wingless reptavian. Shouldering his pulse-rifle, he brings his telescopic specs to bear over one eye, and scans the horizon over the ocean for signs of unexpected ship traffic. Three Resin Beetles hover 7 feet over his head at all times. The insects, having a 4 foot wingspan, create a pleasant and cooling breeze.

After scanning for a short time, the specs are lowered and the mic built into his helmet is cued up. "Officer Kwaarl, reporting in on sector 5. Nothing out of the ordinary." The transmission is completed, and the mic recedes back into the helmet.

The bipedal Guat is prompted to keep moving on it's 1.5 meter high legs, and it trots along the sand for a time. stopping here and there to let it's handler scan the area and report in.

On the last leg of his route, he spies a figure lying on the sand, not moving. He prods the Guat to a full run, and calls it in. "Unknown possibly washed up on shore. Investigating. Will apprise."

Coming to the figure, it appears to be reptilian in nature. Not Sakkran, though. Or even one of the sub-genus. Hmmmm.... He pulls out a bit of dried meat, which is heavily spiced, and waves it in front of the nostrils of the washed-up figure.
28-03-2004, 06:59
Opening his eyes slowly at the scent of meat, some kind of meat, he finds himself highly disoriented and slowly blinks a few times before getting a good focusing on the origin of the meat smell. Looking at the Reptilian figure holding the meat, his eyes widen along with his slit pupils.

"Other reptilian? Imposs.....Impossible.....who are you......," then passes out again from his injuries.

28-03-2004, 08:13
"Officer Kwaarl, Sakkran Border Patrol." Despite the unknown figure falling unconscious, he continues. "You seem to have washed up on our shores. And you're not looking well. better call it in."

He walks over to his mount, and unfastens a side-pack. An antennae is extended and a mic is produced. "We have a wash-up here a tthe edge of sector 5. Bringing back to base."

Using materials found in his packs, Kwaarl fashios a crude sling-stretcher, which is attached to his mount's harness. Then the unconscious form is lain on it, and dragged behind the Guat to the Border Patrol HQ.
28-03-2004, 08:24
He heard some of what the Reptilian said, but for an unknown reason blacked out. Kata'Re speculated it was not because of injuries, but because of how suprised he was to find out that these other Reptilians were real, along with the fact he had just washed ashore and had one hell of a day. Finally, he opened his eyes, and was being dragged somehow. Acting on instinct he quickly rolled off the stretcher-like object that was carrying him.

It was not Kata'Re that initiated the attack, it was, again, pure instinct. He jumped forth after quickly standing with claws on hands and feet ready to dig into the Reptilian-like creature that, as his primitive part thought up as an excuse, dared attempt to drag him for the intention of capture or possibly more. Snout opened with teeth exposed, he prepared to land on the seemingly unkowing Reptilian to bite his neck as he hoped to dig his foot claws into the reptilians side and his hand-claws into wherever in an attempt to dismount and show, for some odd reason, who was boss.

It truly wasn't the decision of the actual Kata'Re, it was something primitive, lieing dormant, that triggered the instant attack. Kata'Re only saw what was happening as a kinda blur, unable to stop anything until something rebuked the instinctive attack.
Sakkra
28-03-2004, 08:34
Kwaarl felt a shifting from the stretcher, and didn't think much of it. Poor bastard must be shifting in his sleep. A moment later, he felt the impact of someone hitting him from behind. His TacSoft armor was being dug into his sides and shoulders, and the back of his helmet was clamped in a pair of jaws.

Being knocked off his mount, he rolled and came up on his feet. Spying the unknown being on the attack, he lowered his head and let out a low hsssss exposing both sets of serrated teeth. His hands were balled into fists so the claws would not puncture the attacker.

He lowered down and let his tail straighten out behind him for balance, and charged to tackle his foe.
28-03-2004, 08:48
Standing quickly, still not out of the primitive, somehow Kata'Re was enjoying this feeling of old, and allowed it to continue without much thought. Bad idea, as always, yet somehow it felt intense, it felt like a lust, a rage, an anger that was held for centuries. Before him stood an angry reptilian, and all his thoughts were saying to him was imposter, imposter, imposter! It felt so true, so wanted. Again, before him the reptilian seemed too real, yet his primitive side thought that the Komodren Races quest for brethren reptilians was being joked, was being insulted.

So, he had no choice. To Kata'Re, this was an imposter of the Komodrens everlasting dream for a Reptilian Brethren, and this one was seen to be impostering that. Of course his logical concepts knew it was the dream coming to life, the quest coming to an end, the belief and hope that never was felt in vain. However, his primitive side couldn't bare it, no, not after this long of searching, not after so long.....so much of his soul devoted to helping his fellow species quest not be in vain.

Intern, his reaction was quick and swift, the "imposter" was seen as an enemy, an insulting being of the Komodren soul, trying to place everything in vain. No, Kata'Re wouldn't let that happen......but what if it.....not, couldn't be, must be dominated, must be shown not to imposter life-long devotion to finding like-reptilian brethren!

It took only a split-second decision to do the action of leaning forward and opening his jaw to expose the teeth, a hissing-growl emitting to warn of his rage. Twisting his upper body to the left, his left arm reaching aside with claws exposed, ready to slash. His right arm lowered, ready to attack. His tail strengthened, flying behind his sprint with purpose to swat the imposter of hope. Tears of rage streaming down the sides of his face, his voice loud and crude while yelling in anger, "Impossssttttaaaaaa!!!!"

Only the other reptilian could know what happened next, Kata'Re, the true side, saw pure red before black, but hearing and feeling was still intense......

28-03-2004, 09:00
Kwaal sprinted at the attacker; the claws on his feet digging into the moist swampy soil. He saw the attacker sprint as well, but he wasn't using his tail as balance. Instead it was being prepared as a weapon. The hiss of "Impossssttttaaaaaa!!!!" reached him as the opponent charged, but Kwaal wouldn't take the time to think of the implications. All he knew was he was attacked, and damned if he didn't finish what was started.

Using his tail as a counter-weight, he was able to turn far more swiftly at top speed than other beings. He looked for any body language indicating his opponents planned moves. trees surrounded them on all sides, so maneuvering would be tricky.
28-03-2004, 09:05
Kata'Re primitive part of his brain took total control, all Kata'Re ever learned, ever knew, ever experienced in anger or fury was now being used as a weapon. Instictivly acting ment that Kata'Re was truly in a rage, angry, in a fury. However, quickly impacting the reptilian brought forth Kata'Res downfall, literally. His imbalance cost him an actual victory, the Reptilain-like creature taking the advantage.

However, beaten as he was, his insticts wouldn't let him fall without at least one good hit. Thus, he bit down hard somewhere, anywhere, as he was taken down hard by the strong Sakkran. The claws on the Sakkrans feet digging into the Komodrens flesh as he was forced down by the blow, then in his chest, then his neck, then his lower jaw before the Sakkran finsihed running over the hapless Komodren called Kata'Re.

29-03-2004, 04:22
Kwaal could feel the flesh of his attacker give as he ran over him. Not a practiced combat maneuver, but effective none-the-less.

Then a sharp pain was felt travelling up his arm swiftly. A loud HRAA! is yelled out, and Kwaal looks to see deep tooth marks in his bicep of one arm. "The Pits take you, Vrelte-Eater!" He aims his balled fist at the downed foe's snout, hoping for a good stunning blow.
29-03-2004, 04:35
Then, Kata'Re became aware. The hit had stunned him into total control, his snout was missed and the side of his head was hit, thus he now was awake. His eyes told the shock, the horror, wide as the pupils slit to a medium looking at the reptilian that Kata'Re knew not intended to make a critical blow. Almost as if nothing had happened, not acting at all, Kata'Re sat up from a deep impression of himself in the sand, at least his back and neck area, and looked at the blood from the, to him, unknown gashes from something sharp, on his stomic, chest, and just near where his jaw attached to his skull.

Kata'Re didn't really feel the need to express the pain, as the surge of a natural intensifier was lessening in effect. His head turned to his right, snout straight with his right shoulder, eye of the right side of his head looking at the Reptilian behind him in horror....complete and total horror.

"W-What happened to me," he asked slowly, almost a rough wisper with a noticable amount of suprise and terror.

"Hrrr....you attacked me as I was bringing you the Patrol HQ. We fought. Now be glad I don't narco you into unconsciousness, and drag you the rest of the way."

His hands open and close with each breath, and the tip of his tail twitches wildly. The air is heavy with the scent of cinnamon.
29-03-2004, 05:19
He stood slowly, standing a full seven feet and five inches. He had been leaning before, so it was quite natural for his height to be hidden through his figure. However, looking at the Reptilian Kata'Re allowed the emotion become emotionless as his face calmed itself back to its senible figure. His tail gently lowered to touch the ground beneath, whatever clothing worn was obviously ripped off from the horrific experience of being thrown from a shuttle as water rushed in it.

Sighing somewhat, then opening his eyes to look at the twitching Reptilian, he spoke. "I am Kata'Re, leader of Nodea Rudav. I am Komodren, and as such-" he knelt and bowed before thre unknown reptilian "-I submit myself to whatever punishment I must recieve for attacking an unknown Reptilian Brethren, as I have dishonored myself greatly."

Standing, turning around, and walking in the direction told, Kata'Re began to ponder how the hell he got here in the first place. All he remembered was the shuttle, it having problems, then it crashing. After that, in and out of consciousness before remembering cleary water gushing in the cabin and he being swept out of the exit hatch by the intense currents, then blacking out again and waking to find himself having battle with a Reptilian of unknown origin.

"Graa....," Kata'Re growled softly to himself, "This is not my day...."

Continuing to walk, Kata'Re allowed himself to remember that he was on Earth. However, where on earth was THIS place? Never before had the satellites of long past detected such a Reptilian Race, so how the hell did they appear? It seemed logical to believe them real, so he cast the thought away.

Walking and seeing a ripe piece of fruit on the ground, unknown but obviously just fallen, he slowed his pace and pointed an open hand towards the fruit, a tingle feeling throughout his inner-chest, then the fruit flew into the open palm, just before being five feet away. Continuing walking, his jaw cruched into what he know identified as an apple, eating the entire apple quickly before gulping the last bite.

From his mount, Kwaal spies all that happens. Including the flying apple incident. Great. Another psycher. He resembles no Grass-Walker, though. Hmmmm.....leader of some Nodea Rudav, eh? Likely story, but we'll find out.

As they come over a ridge in the road, the Border Patrol HQ is before them. In the trees. Tiered platforms with bridges spanning between them are populated by guards bearing personal cannons. No gates, no roadways. A lift is at ground level, waiting to bear passengers sky-ward.

Kwaal dismounts and points to the lift. "There is where we're going. We're going to see if your story checks out, and decide what to do from there."

The Guat trots off a bit, then raises its beaked head and munches on some tall nuts in the trees.

He walks to the lift, standing so as to give the other Reptilian some personal space. "Well, I suppose you don't believe me, no? Heh, alright, we'll see."

Closing the door to the lift, Kwaal uses the voice-command system. "Tier Three." The lift goes up smoothly. Kwaal turns to the Komodren and shoulders his rifle.

"Well, what does the evidence show? An unknown being washes up on our shore in tattered clothing, attacks a Patrol Officer, has not shown any identification. It is all rather a bit suspect of you being a leader of a nation, yes?"

Kata'Re huffs a small laugh, "I suppose you could say I'm poor, broke, and ugly. Heh.....but, no, I lie not to my Brethren within Rudavia, nor Comrade Brethren from other nations."

His tail twitches somewhat from a sharp pain, but Kata'Re ignores it and relaxes somewhat as the lift ever-accends upwards towards whatever Tier Three was, which Kata'Re figured was a third level of some kind.

OOC: Ok, let's speed this up a bit. Nodea, suffice it to say, your leader has checked out, was given medical attention, and transported to Kastaa.

At the island of Kastaa, the people arrive at the Kastaa Athletic Complex in droves. The kiosks selling roasted meat on a stick finds themselves swamped with business. The crowd continues filtering in, and taking any available seating that can be found.

The Complex is a five-story high domed building, with exposed rafters (with obviously updated security features), columns reaching up to the domed roof, and several entrances. It measures 230 meters wide by 450 meters long. The Imperial viewing box takes center in the audience, and is surrounded by armed guards.

The Jugg pit is marked only with two spikes driven into the ground. The restof it is covered in a dusty soil, and several benches line the sides. A large kettle drum is brought out and laid down on the ground.

Waiting for you to do that.

IC:

"Meh....Amazing, I suppose this is where I will fight, or play against, another? I did choose, afterall, to participate."
