**Excerpt from Governor's policy changes as tabled in official Parliamentary record**

Foriegn policy has always been a major concern for Chimaea, taking into account the Commonwealths' active participation in international affairs. Chimaea's stand on democracy, which has been flailing of late, has always drawn dangerous enemies to whom 'human rights' is an alien concept.

The previous administration's weakness in foriegn policy saw Chimaean troops propping up dictatorial empires in an effort to find 'stability' rather than peace and democracy. Clearly, massive changes are needed across the board in foriegn policy and international relations. This is in part a small dossier on changes to Chimaean foriegn policy concerning certain nations, regions and organisations.

* United Nations: Chimaea will always be an active member of the United Nations, with reservations concerning the ICJ and certain jurisdiction issues.

* Reich: Chimaea will cut all diplomatic relations and any trade or other economic, military or otherwise links with this region; private links of the same will also be banned. This shall remain the policy of the Commonwealth until the Reich adopts, if not democracy, then policies to safeguard the rights of its citizens.

* GDODAD: Chimaea is directly opposed to this organisation.

* NDA: Chimaea is directly opposed to this organisation.

* Arda: Chimaea has no present relations with this organisation but notes it is allied with the Reich and GDODAD.

* CACE: Chimaea has no present relations with this organisation.

* International Mediation Council: Chimaea is dedicated to working in the scope of this Council and believes it to be the best international response to world security.

* Knootoss: Allies of Chimaea; however we note that there is evidence that Knootoss is involved in government-supported drugs-proliferation and smuggling.

* Syskeyia: Allies of Chimaea; however, we note that religion seems closely intermeshed with their state politic. This has not yet really manifested itself as a 'bad' thing, however.

* Lavenrunz: Allies of Chimaea; however, the current administration will drop all support for Chancellor Mirbach, and strongly criticise his policies of intolerance against non-human sentient species. Lavenrunz moves towards greater relations with the Reich and its membership with the NDA are also of great concern.

* Hrstrovokia: Allies of Chimaea; note that Chimaea will need clear reason to support any anti-separatist action within the Federation in future. Strong commendations for actions in Boroglia.

* Iesus Christi: Chimaea condemns Iesus Christi's actions since the firebombing of Amerigo civilians in the Anto-Slaver War.

* Vegana: Chimaea condemns Vegana's part in the Syskeyian Embassy Crisis.

* Thelas: Chimaea is mostly neutral towards Thelas, though the use of modified Chimaean CR-59's against Knootoss during the Shadow War is strongly criticised; however, we note that Thelas is no longer part of GDODAD and that weapons sales by the previous administration lacked integrity. Chimaea supports Thelas in their criticism of Chancellor Mirbach's policies in Lavenrunz.

* Menelmacar: Chimaea has formal relations with this nation, though is largely neutral. Chimaea recognises the vital role played by Menelmacar in several conflicts and crisis, such as during the Reich invasion of Ionetheisa and the intervention in the Congo.

* Melkor Unchained: Lord Melkor's recent actions is of great concern and Chimaea is willing to act alongside allies in curbing the threat against the world.

* Roania: Chimaea is neutral towards Roania; however, their actions against Micronesia is criticised as brutal and uncalled for.

* Russian Forces: Chimaea is neutral towards Russian Forces; however RF's imperialism and expansionism is cause for alarm. Chimaea encouraged RF to rethink these policies.

* Imperial Forces: Chimaea is neutral towards Imperial Forces.



OOC: If I've forgotten someone, and I probably have, then post here and you shall be added ASAP. OOCly, this will herald a period of greater Chimaean activity in the international scene.

One does wonder what Chimaea's policies on police actions, like those we have been taking against our rebellious Micronesian subjects, for example.

OOC: Essentially, Roania has begun invading almost every Micronesian island on the map, and I've been inventing more of them to invade as well. Their culture is being suppressed, and lots of people are dying in amusing ways.

Why? Because I had a really bad time in the Marshall Islands while I was there, and I want to conquer them.

Clark and Althena sat together. Both knew that they were each others most deadly enemy, yet they worked together... in an almost ridiculous charade.

"So... Now, this is... interesting..."
"Yes, it is. Although it`s a bit worrying."
"Regarding our own plans?" Clark took a deep puff from his cigar.
"Yes. Well 'our' is a bit much..." Althena chuckled. "In any case, their policy of opposing the NDA is... a double- edged sword. We should try to channel it. The possibility is there."

"It's good to see that the Chimaeans are again trying to aggressivly push their 'democracy' on otherwise peaceful nations. WHat harm have we or the NDA done to Chimaea? None. It is not us, the supposed 'evil dictators' of the world, attempting to push their ideologies on others. No, it is 'democracies', and I use that term loosely, contradicting themselves by attacking those who oppose their 'freedoms' and belief system. We are not brutal dictators, we do not slaughter civilians or repress minorities. We have merely transcended the need for the brutally inefficent beauracracy that plauges 'democratic' nations. We'd suggest that the Chimaeans and those like them take a good, hard look at their own values before slamming those of others."

UI: Mr. Karzai, we have not stated anywhere that we are attempting to push our ideology onto others. NO invasions or strikes against the NDA or anybody else is yet planned. We are stating our position, not pushing our ideology on anybody. And we will not get into the democracy versus dictatorship issue here.

We regret that you feel this way. We remain certain that you are in the minority, as there has been no international outcry. We are currently engaged in talks with the rebel scum, and we shall be returning them to our Empire within the year, peacefully or not.

They are being given a prime chance to work as one for our cause, surely that is worth some sacrifice?

OOC: Service to Menelmacar doesn't necessarily mean you have allied relations to us lol. I'm basing this on out roleplayed interactions so yeah... we haven't had all that much contact have we?

We encourage Roania to find a way of compromise with the rebels that is satisfactory to all parties... Surely this is preferrably to outright war?

A Taraskovyan and TVC politican strolled through a garden in the Council district. They were on their lunchbreak, and as old Academy friends they would head over here every now and then to talk about old times. And of course, it was also one of the countless informal contacts that the political elites of both nations sustained in order to keep each other informed and aligned with one another's policy.

"So, you must have noticed that Chimaea has mentioned neither the SFN, or the WTE in their recent statements."

"I did. But I see it as a positive event. Both organizations are amongst the oldest in the world, and one of the reasons that we still exist is that we tend to stay away from the public eye. I doubt there is a larger concentration of technology and knowledge on earth than there is in Sisgardia, so publicity should be shunned as much as possible."
