Klonor defense under major renovation

Broad Beam Communication: Klonor military, economic, and political allies

The Klonor designed/manufactured 'Harbinger Cannon', a magnificent delivery system for the extremely destructive Harbinger Warhead, is centuries old. It is still a fabulous device, capable of decimating entire attacking fleets in seconds and fully qualified to defend whole planets independently, yet there are many areas which can be improved upon. The new improvements shall be extremely costly (ranging between 3 - 4 trillion per Cannon) and are currently only being installed upon the Cannons in the Home System of Deneb, yet when completed they shall double, if not triple, the defensive capabilities of the systems inhabited planets.

What is being considered at this point is the addition of a second Cannon on each currently existing Cannon Station. Essentially, each Harbinger Cannon will be able to fire two shots at the same time, and in different directions. This will make a sneak attack, or an attack which relies solely on numerical superiority, pointless due the ability to cover the rear arc of the Station, which is where a sneak attack would come from, and the ability to fire at multiple targets.

The Harbinger Cannons have always been an unstoppable force of destruction, now they shall be unavoidable as well. May this do nothing but bring further peace to the People of Klonor.

(Modified Harbinger Cannons not available at the Defence Store at this time)

BUMP

Not so much for responses, since there isn't really much for you to say, but for views so that when I use this stuff later on I don't get the yells of 'Godmodder! You never RP'd those things being built!"

But feel free to post if you want to.

Well, when you say, "capable of decimating entire attacking fleets in seconds," I hope that is just advertising and not expecting that to be a hard feature.

Actually, that is a 'hard feature' (pesuming you mean that I am stating this as a fact, and not merely exagerating). It's past engagements have shown this to no end.

Wait, this sounds wrong, arrogant, and definitely godmoddy.

The Harbinger Cannons can accelerate a Harbinger Warhead (a 5 gigaton explosive) to .99999999999 light speed every 4 seconds (That's 15 Harbinger Warheads a minute). The new version (which this thread announces) will put a second Cannon on each already exisitng station.

I am not saying these things are impossible to destroy, nor am I saying that it's impossible to withstand an attack from them, but I am saying that these weapons are singlehandedly capable of inflicting massive damage on enemy ships and severely reducing the size of enemy fleets.

Since you will not just take my word for it (If you will then my respect for you just plummeted) you can look at my past combat RP's (Actually, the total number of past combat RP's for me is really quite small. My defenses are so widely acknowledged as 'impenetrabel' that people stopped trying a long time ago. Wow, talk about an ego boost). They are examples of Harbinger Cannons in action.

Also, these Cannons are immobile and every shot costs 5 billion florens. They can't be used for attacking other people, and that's the only reason (I think) that these things haven't been ignored by everybody.

I am guessing that I already know the answer but I couldn't help it. Would there be any possibility that we could pay a very largesum for blueprints?

Dude, I don't even give out the blueprints to the original Harbinger Cannon (which this thread just made obsolete).

Nice try, but it's not gonna happen.

I'm lucky enough that nobody's ever tested my defenses in a true combat situation. They're pretty solid though. We are interested in these Harbinger Cannons of yours though. Would it be possible to purchase some? Since they're only good for defense, you wouldn't need to worry about us using them for aggresive purposes...

The original Harbinger Cannons are available for purchase at the Klonor Defence Force store (there's a link to it in the first post). Post an order there.

I hate to say it, but accelerating anything that large up to .99999999 percent of light speed is pretty godmodery.

Uh, the warhead isn't that big. Well, it's freaking huge for a fighter launched weapon, but not huge by itself. Just the explosion is huge.

I know it didn't weigh a gigaton. But pretty much anything bigger than.... say a few particles... just the energy requirements would be too high. Too high for fusion at least, and then there's the matter of recoil... But..... ah well. Far far far future tech, I guess.
