Now, I'd be the country of bird people Doc is portraying in his comic, so I think it's neccessary to state a few things. First and foremost, I've had no hand in the making of this comic, including story line and art. That means, from this point on and unless otherwise stated, what occurs in this comic is completely unofficial, and will have no bearing on my timeline or continuity if I ever decide to RP. Get it? Got it? Good.

Second, is that Doc is doing all the art for this. That means that the way my country is depicted visually, including it's architecture and citizens, will probably differ a great amount from how I actually perceieve them.

The final note is that Doc knows of my country only from muddled conversations on IRC. As such, the way he portrays Mirkai's actions, military, demeanor, etc. is purely how he sees it, and does not, and I mean does not in any way relate to how Mirkai would actually react to any given situation, etc.

With that said, enjoy Doc's comic. Yes, I know he's a dweeb, but he's a pretty fun guy once you get to know him.

Mirkai, A post apocalyptic state somewhere in South America, a long disturbing history of near total destruction due to civil war, of GM sentient avians. Of rebels and secret police. Of bio technology and its abuse.

Um so I would appreciate any critique of my little concept, on the um artwork or lack therof, on the scripting and cast (all soon to be) and so forth.

But in opening yes any input on the idea would be most welcome.

Just because LandHawk [Mirkai] asked me to post something, and your persistent please on IRC, okay, here goes.

I dont see a single bit bad about the drawings. Well done, although maybe more colours?

The illustrations are a new twist. Not bad. A tip: Make them a tad smaller. Just because you and I have large monitors, doesn't mean everyone does. 500x500 is on the large side for forums. Yours at ~1000x800 push it quite a bit. Unless its a children's book, make the illustrations compliment the story, not tell the whole thing. Good writing can make up for drawings that are on the poor side, but it doesn't usually go the other way around; keep that in mind. Other than that, I'd like to see where this goes.

((OOC: I hate you so much. I most certainly am NOT an RPer. The only roleplaying I'll be doing in this is possibly the role of an info terminal, to explain some of the Mirkanian background that's relevant to Doc's story (The undercity/vaults, the Talon, etc.).))

((OOC Perhaps first I better explain how NS earth and the multiverse effect will work in this little project. As previously stated I take the existence of stardrives and there creation at the same time in various universes as a reason to create NS earth. A warp in the Multiverse. A curved warp. Simply when you go west or east.. you keep on going and you don't come back for as you go around the planet and the curve of the warp the topography will keep changing. Now as the universes in question all started using a stardrive at the same time this gives me an out for the very different timelines all the “earths” come from also the high improbability of races with the technological and social levels shown in NS earth possessing an FTL drive of any kind adds to the improbability of the creation.

The Impact of such a warp will be called simple the (wince now) “Event” On another point the further away you travel in space from earth the less the effects of the warp. For sanities sake Ive placed the limit at Luna. This also means that each Lunar Orbit really does bring a “new” moon. On another point the poles will be off limits as hopelessly distorted areas of space time. And now on with the story))

The probe was on a ballistic orbit when it picked up the bursts of transmissions and raw power from an active NS nation. Slowly optic circuits where checked, power was re routed and the Probe began to go from transit mode to actively scanning. Then it got a reading that set off a slew of commands in its systems. The probes retros fired as it swung around, then the main drive made a 5 minute burn. The probe was in position. The heavy main dish swung into position. Energy cells were hooked into the probes systems. The dish hummed with power, then discharged. In the next instant the probe confirmed its readings and gained many more. A data net was detected. A fully operational civilization using binary data systems on microwave links. The probe was not without resources and it was patient. The encryption was not unbreakable when up against the probes onboard quantum computer and level 2 AI . It was a civilizations data net. The probe passively recorded the transmissions of every system it could find. The information was processed. A tentative plan was formed. The probe launched its message drone. Then it waited. Watching. Learning.

Deep in the Heart of the ZMI Pyramid plans were made.. plans that would insure the Objective was gained. A simple vote of the Board of spec ops was taken. The action was passed. Funding was alocated. Project planning called for 4 months of prep time.

The vesta is huge because she has to house stardrives. Real ones that rip space and time for a direct translocation useing a toroidal singularity. None of this hyper space pansying about.
