No, but I am willing to roleplay this tech level with you.

Depends. If you`re in for realistic tech, no.

If you can live with steam powered mechanical mechas that, for some undefined reason, pwn everything build with common sense, or steam powered tanks going 5km/h, then it is possible :P

EDIT: Of course, that stuff is experimental... We still have this shiny charging cavalry... Romantic *sighs dreamly*

Umm... we're going more for realism. A lot more.
New Eastgate

New Eastgate is currently in the beginings of a major industrial revolution after a Mr.Arnold invented the steam engine. Most locomotion is by ox-drawn cart, or by sail or barge, with the first ironclad (propelled by steam and sail) being currently under construction.

Here is our factbook, should anyone be interested:

And here is a thread pertaining to the on going civil war:
http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=96405&highlight=

In that the three relatively wealthy and developed Catholic monarchist Western States are engaged in a civil war with the two poor rural Peripheral States, which have rejected the king and seemingly the church.

Currently pressing issues include the depletion of livestock after generations of isolation, meaning that there are almost no horses in the land, and on going struggles with the Polynesian natives spread across the east.

New Eastgate operates with a lower population than claimed by the UN (around 12 million plus natives).

Anyway, I've gone on more than long enough for now, I think.. it's odd, just tonight as I lay in bed I was thinking about posting a thread just like this one. Hm.

I am good on this era....well, from 1790-1815 anyway. Later than that I'm not too sure about, haven't really learnt anything about it. But the Revolutionary/Napoleonic era I am good on. Particularly Prussia....

There was a group of Napoleonic era nations around a year or so ago, but I have no idea if they're still around.

They were called something like Napoleonic France. I don't remember exactly.
